Best customer service we have encountered so far..and we are new in Calgary. We were fortunate to meet Monal Patel. He is excellent at his job, to the effect that he is capable of selling sand to an Arab :) Excellent product knowledge and very eager to assist. The shop floor was well arranged & clean. It was easy to find what we needed and there were employees eager to assist where ever required. The billing counter also was quite efficient and didn't take much time. I have purchased three desktop computers from Staples over the past decade or so. It's hit or miss, as to whether or not you'll get someone knowledgeable In this dept. It helps if you yourself come with some idea with what you need. They also stock a good supply of printer ink, so if you're running low chances are they will carry it. They also have self serve printing machines, and you can prepay a Staples card and you can scan and print away at your hearts content. Staples will even laminate things for you that you might not like to get ruined. Like a club pass or something like that. The one thing that I do find odd about Staples, is the grocery items. To me they really don't tie in to the whole office supply , oh let's by some Jujubes ? in concluding my review, I think that Staples is suffering from what most retailers are suffering from. Young people today just don't want to work hard for their money. It's hard to get loyal workers for minumum wages, or just above those wages. read more

Bravo Staples Shawnessy. Lisa, Jose your a great team. Twice in the past 2 years I have purchased laptops and software. Lisa helped me with my first laptop I was so impressed with her that I went back to see her when I needed to purchase another. On this visit Lisa went above and beyond, I got what I wanted within my price range. Lisa is knowledgably, friendly and smart. Jose set up both my laptops, I'm challenged at times with all the software, downloads, uploads etc Jose makes it all make sense he is so helpful, very friendly and great to work with. Absolutely can't get over the customer service at the Copy and Print desk here! I walked in, needing a proposal printed on high quality paper, 1.5 hours before giving a presentation...the perfect disaster situation. The lady at the desk was able to help me immediately, help me find paper and report covers, and printed everything off in a jiffy! Even though my document's formatting changed when she opened it, she checked it and let me adjust everything before printing. She was patient and friendly, and helped calm the pre-presentation jitters significantly. Two thumbs way up for service here! read more

Went to Staples to buy a desk, as all models are sold out online. Offered to purchase a floor model, was refused. Was told they would not sell floor models (no stock is available online or in store) as they did not want to have to assemble another unit when restocked... date unknown. Surprised Staples is willing to miss sale of items through this period of high demand, to avoid staff having to assemble items when restocked. read more

Walked in and it was clean and there were helpful people. I agree with Ed about employees (young or old) being apathetic about their jobs. I come across them a lot. I usually try to look for a more eager worker to ask for help. haha. read more

We have always had a very positive experience as a customer at Shawnessy Staples. We do want to acknowledge some extraordinary service we received through the Copy and Print desk and specifically Amanda. We had ordered some pens for our 50th Wedding Anniversary and there was a mistake made by the supplier in regard to the colour of the pens. When Amanda, in reviewing the situation, determined that there clearly was an error, she went to great lengths to deal with it. We were most impressed with the efficient, client-centred manner in which she addressed and rectified the problem. She is a very personable and accommodating member of the Shawnessy Staples Team and we welcome this opportunity to express our appreciation and commendations.
