I recently came to this Staples to have return address labels and mailing address labels printed for my wedding invitations. The employees at the printing center were very rude and acted as though I was inconveniencing them, even though the store was empty. I was told that printing 10 sheets of paper would take 3-5 business days, which makes no sense. It's 5 minutes of labor and 20 cents worth of ink, and I brought in Avery labels that I had already purchased. I was informed that I could purchase an expedited time and have them done in 2-3 hours for $2.95, so I did that. The male clerk had me write down my name and email on a business card and informed me that I would be emailed when they were done, and I never was. I returned two days later after not receiving any communication only to find out the labels were done the same day. I requested a refund on the extra fee I paid, and the print counter employee, Fenny, was extremely rude to me. This was overall a very negative experience and I will not be returning to Staples for any printing needs. The labels turned out nice, if they hadn't my rating would be one star. read more

I needed a canvas printed and had some issues with the online system and getting it to translate over. Went in to pick it up, and initially I was super nervous about getting exactly what I wanted. First off let me just start by saying the lead in the copy and print center is amazing but it seems after she leaves this place goes down hill. No one knows how to work the copy and print center. Working for staples in the past this is by far the worst location I've been to. Even the guy covering lunch couldn't help me coverbind something because "he doesn't know what to do" as he laughed. Shout out to Lauren in the printing department! She went above and beyond on a Saturday afternoon to meet my needs. Her computer knowledge and approachable personality made her such a pleasure to work with. I found her absolutely encouraging and so kind. She is the type of person I would want to call a friend. This Staples is doing lots of things right. Every time I go in there I find what I need and am able to get my copies / printing / scanning completed. I also enjoy the unique items they display in the kiosks near the checkout line. I have found some excellent gifts for people. Further, I have never had to stand in line very long at all - I am able to zip right in and zip out. The parking lot is also very accessible and there are plenty of parking spots. Be very careful using them for Amazon returns. This was my first time using Staples instead of UPS or even Kohls and it was not good. The person who took my return said something didn't look right when she scanned my Amazon QR return code. I asked at the time, should we do something about it, but Shay insisted I would be fine because she was giving me a return receipt. When the items did not arrive to Amazon in almost a month, I went back to Staples with my return receipt and Shay said the receipt didn't do anything for me because the return already left their store!!?? Ok so what was the point of telling me I would be find because I had the return receipt? I won't do any further returns with Staples. There is no clear communication. Was told to walk all the way around almost to the exit to do a return. Three women where talking and told one of them to go do the return. Waited in line along with 4 other folks. I was very patient and started playing candy crush. We all waited in line for about 10-15 minutes patiently. Another cashier comes and secretly starts taking customer one by one to the print and copy location to cash out. After a few more minutes i asked the cashier, do you need to me to follow them ? since everyone is getting pulled in secret to print and copy. She said hold on a minute and pages the other girl at P&C. She says " yes, she said she would help you " . I do not know what was so hard that the manager on duty didn't jump to help this girl? Her computer didn't work, she obviously was afraid to talk to me. She did mention several times, my system isn't working. its an obvious no one here has a sense of urgency, or respect of a customers time. I was not informed about the express Guarant fee $13.40 Today happened to be the day on which they were training a new staff member. I hope the manager makes sure to inform all existing associates about informing customers about the Guarant fee in case someone is planning on getting anything printed ahead of everyone else. At least Sara said that since they had to put my order in front of everyone there was an extra charge. The interesting thing was that if I never asked the about the fee, Sara the associate would've never mentioned it to me and when I did ask she simply said that it was more expensive because they rushed my order. If I could give Staples, the corporation, 0 stars, I would! I placed a reservation for an office chair only to find out that some idiot working at the company keyed in the wrong price (reg $149.99, on sale for $89.99, on reserve for $29.99). Here I was, thinking I found an amazing deal only to receive an email that they are cancelling the orders due to the mistake. The chairs are barely in stock at the local stores and in my opinion, a mistake by one of your idiot employees should not come at the cost of your customers. Really horrible business practice. I am genuinely disappointed and would reconsider shopping here in the future. I was really impressed with Tanya's customer service when I first called to ask her to make a note that I would be picking up the chair a couple days late due to a last minute business trip. She accommodated. I called today to confirm since I was having my friend pick up only to find out that it was cancelled. She recommended talking to the manager to see if he would still honor the reserve price. Managers have the power to override pricing if they really wanted to and I just felt like the manager was unaccommodating. So unfortunate. I used to LOVE shopping at Staples. Now I'll go elsewhere. I'm know for a fact Amazon would have honored their pricing. P.S. I was really bothered today when walking to checkout. Both cashiers were engaged in their on conversation, I had to say, "good afternoon" to get their attention. I looked for a coupon code for my item which I already had pulled up on my phone I just needed to show the cashier. As I was pulling it up he said to me, " come on you can't afford $20". I was so shocked that he had spoken to me like that I just paid for my item. It was embarrassing and unprofessional to feel comfortable enough to say that. You'll love this store if you love to caress warm paper fresh off the printer, get a certain high holding a 21-page research paper in your hands, get giddy imagining the things you'll do with new stationary, or spend a minimum 60 minutes picking a new planner for the year. It can't just be me! Staples always seems to have creative paper and notebook options to fit what I've imagined on my way to the store. Not only that, they offer the 110% price match so I can't go wrong. Why shop anywhere else for school supplies when you know they will have the lowest prices and the most variety? Why shop anywhere else for planners when they have the prettiest, most functional academic year planners for the lowest prices? Why shop anywhere else for paper when they think like we think? They should let me write their commercials. Teacher note: They have respectable teacher limits. In August, I was limited to like 25 of those dirt cheap green folders I use for centers. I'm reviewing the copy & print department. I went in to print something. The one person in the department was busy, and the only other person I saw in the store was a cashier. After waiting for 5 minutes, I decided to try the self-service machines, since it looked like she wasn't going to be finishing up with the customer anytime soon. The machine said that if I'm unhappy with anything, I don't have to pay for it. Great! I started printing and the machine had reduced the print size, so I canceled the job immediately. There was no option to decline to pay for those copies, the clerk was still helping the other customer, so I asked the cashier for a manager. She came and told me that I had to go ahead and pay, then wait for that busy clerk to issue me a refund. So back to being in line. Meanwhile, the manager went off to help another person in the print department. If she was going to help someone, why didn't she offer to print my job correctly? Overall, it took forever, I ended up having to go to another place to get my printing done, the customer service was terrible. I won't be coming back to the print department here. read more

If you need any printing done I would definitely recommend this Staples location. The store manager Tonya and the printing supervisor J.J. went above and beyond to help me with my order after another Staples location (Coit and Campbell) messed up my order. I'm a bride and getting married next week so I'm getting prints done to make fans for my wedding. The other Staples location printed my order on the wrong paper. J.J. went out of his way to show me the different kinds of papers offered and introduced me to the store manager Tonya who completely understood the stress I'm under with my wedding being in a week and immediately corrected my order. They were both incredibly knowledgeable and their customer service was impeccable. I'm also a teacher and Tonya told me about the rewards that teacher's can earn with their app. Tonya and J.J. made my day and helped me when they could have just sent me back to the original Staples I made my order at. I who never gives reviews has to say that Keith, the manager at store #1842 was extremely helpful and professional. The cherry on top was how kind and friendly he was. He helped us find something we could not find anywhere and he saved the day. He asked how we were doing during these COVID-19 times. He was genuine and he did whatever it took to help us. Also the gentleman at the register was just as friendly. I will go back to this store solely for my office supplies from now on. Keith deserves manager of the month. I have done a great deal of business with this store over the years. Yesterday I went to return a 3 month old chair I purchased from them that had a broken wheel. I did not have my receipt. They could not locate any of my past purchases on their system. Response from 2 employees SORRY..but NO. No Manager to consult with, or any compromise. Over the years I have had repeated bad experiences at this location. Despite the store not being busy, and despite the three Staples employees up front, I was forced to wait in line behind two other customers who could not get a Staples gift card to work at POS. Finally, they ended up paying with cash. The cashier, and the guy who avoided helping me could not figure out what was happening. It seemed to never even occur to them to think that maybe the issue was with their point of sale system. So, I finally got my turn. The cashier got me totaled up, and then I proceeded to use Apple Pay. Guess what? It didn't work. Go figure! Could it be that there was a problem with the POS system that also caused the gift card not to work either? Rather than try and investigate, the cashier stood there like a mute moron and did absolutely nothing. I told her that either the Apple Pay transaction works, or I leave. That was her opportunity to investigate further. She failed to take that opportunity, so I left my purchase there, and walked out. After that, I drove about two miles up the road, and successfully used my Apple Pay (with the same credit card) with absolutely no issues. This is not the first time that this Staples location has failed to give me good service. I ALWAYS have to wait in line for a long time, no matter how many customers they have in the store. If I comment about the long wait, I am often given a cold response, and no offer to do better the next time. They simply don't care. Well, I'm sick of this crap, and I will never come back. There's an Office Depot nearby, and they will get my business from now on. I often make work related purchases at this Staples, and I will no longer be doing that here. It's appalling that they seem to care nothing about the customer experience. Oh, and I shouldn't forget to mention that they were working on someone's PC out front with no ESD equipment there. I rarely feel the need to write a bad review for bad service... but, a few days ago my girlfriend came in to this staples with a picture of the ink we needed for our printer. They did not have it, so she called me and I gave her our model number. They send her home with a ink cartridge that isn't even close to fitting. So I come back in tonight and explain, the girl at the register looks at me crazy like I have 3 heads. Horrible attitude, should not be what represents the face of your company. Couldn't even muster up a "well I'm sorry for the inconvenience" or "I'm sorry we gave you the wrong ink cartridge" or well anything. Oh, and they still didn't have the one I needed, which would have been nice to know a few days ago when we originally tried to get the cartridge. Since it was open I wasn't sure of the return policy so I asked "so if she brings her credit card back she can get the money put back on her card?" And the girl responds with more attitude "uh well yeah she can return it"... I wish I had looked at her name now that I'm gone... but it couldn't be hard to narrow down the people who were working at 7:30pm tonight. read more
