Went for a check up and to get a document filled out so I could get my license. I ended up having to go back the same day cause the dmv was being the dmv and the doctor was so helpful and really saved me by doing a new paper and making sure the dmv would know I am completely okay to have a license. Although the office was an hour and a half away from me, I would definitely make the trip out here again if I ever had to.

The other reviews I see on this page also only discuss the staff at this office. I found them extremely helpful. Positive: 1) I called and was given a same day appointment. My previous doctor's office had a weeks long scheduling dilemma. 2) I had no idea that I had vision insurance connected to my medical insurance and the staff searched this out and found it for me. 3) The office staff was very knowledgeable - the lady that helped me select glasses had been in the business for over 15 years and the receptionist had been there 40+ years. 4) I was scheduled last minute and only waited 4 minutes past my appointment time (in my experience that's exceptional - other doctor's offices have made me wait 30 mins to over an hour on an appointment I've scheduled months in advance). 5) The doctor was great. He was efficient without making me feel like I was being shoved out the door. And he told me in advance about every test he performed - what it was, why he was doing it, and what it told him. 6) You might not know it from the appearance of the office but in their optical they had hundreds of frames to choose from and I had a personal one-on-one fitting experience. 7) I was given contacts the same day and they even checked them to make sure they worked before I bought boxes (again, I can't say how frequently I have boxes of contacts sitting in my bathroom that are useless because the doctor never bothered to check them). 8) I wasn't given any hidden fees or sold any products I didn't ask for. Modern day doctor's always seem to be selling something they personally stock. Negatives - The only one I can think of is the office location was a little off the beaten path and the building itself is a little dated. But I supposed that's not to be unexpected since the whole operation has been there for 40-something years. Overall I'd give this practice a five-star review.

They refused to send me my prescription via email. I thought that was strange, but I left work early to get the prescription so I could get the company paid safety lenses. When I arrived in person, they proceeded to tell me that my eye exam expired yesterday. Really!? They asked if I wanted to schedule an exam, and I said no, because they were being too difficult in sharing my information. A doctor should never withhold your information for any reason, and they were just trying to generate more business from me. I had planned to make an appointment with them soon but they ruined that relationship. I suggest you find another eye doctor and office that isn't focused so much on appointments but that really cares about your health.

Once I get home I start to shop around for my glasses when I notice there was no number for my left eye cyl and I knew something was wrong because that's my bad eye. I call them and question them about it and they contacted the doctor and sure enough they gave me the wrong prescription. They said sorry and sent me the correct one. So unacceptable. What If I hadn't checked my old prescription and noticed something was wrong and ordered a bad set of glasses. I would not recommend and will not be going back again. Nor will my kids or husband and I will tell my family as well. I should of known better few years ago they messed up my brothers glasses and put the prescription on the opposite eye. They kept transferring me back and forth between offices and put me on hold for a total of 35 minutes between transfers. The staff needs to be trained not only on procedures but on telephone etiquette and customer service. Fast-forward to today, I have been going to Dr. Nguyen for the past 3-4 years! He is super friendly, authentic, and easy to talk to. I feel comfortable discussing my vision and any concerns with him. Dr. Nguyen and his staff are super efficient. During my last visit, I was in and out within 30 minutes for my full annual eye exam. They run all of the proper tests and check my vision thoroughly to look for any changes from previous years.
