I went to Stan's with a friend. Two managers were there, chatting. I spoke with them. I had a paper with a list materials I needed for the project. They said they didn't carry that poduct and I should go to Lowes, Walmart or Home Depot. THEY SMILED. I checked their WEB site, they do carry that product. I went to another Ace Hardware in town and they were happy to get the product for me. Just had a awful experience. I got a $15 off $90 coupon in the mail yesterday and came to use it. I was purchasing 5 gorilla tapes to get above $90 but since they were $1 off and on sale the coupon couldn't be used. I asked to pay full price for them to use the coupon. They said they can't do that and wouldn't accept the coupon. I guess there's no common sense anymore. read more

While I've been shopping at the store for many years, this time I was buying some Kensington paint in their paint department. I asked to have some paint made up in a Benjamin Moore color. They made my paint, sent it with me, and I applied the paint on a shed to match my house. it did not match. Another time I went there for the exact same paint, made with color of a Benjamin Moore, giving them the paint code and everything and the paint chip they have their own location, they told me that they can't make a Benjamin Moore color paint in their Kensington product line. so I left and went across the river to another Ace Hardware store, where they gleefully made the Kensington paint with the Benjamin Moore paint code in it. They told me the reason Stans Merry Mart did not make my paint the way I asked for was most likely because they were just being lazy. I find this completely unacceptable. now I have a couple of $60 gallons of the paint that I can't really use and I have to throw in the trash. so it's up to you if you want to get your paint here that's your choice. Stan's is the place to go for basically everything. I had no idea what a wide variety of goods they had until I had a stroll around the store. Need something for your closet? Check Stan's! They have clothes and shoes for everyone. Need something for the dog? Yep, you bet Stan's has that too. I have needed so many things that I thought I would have a hard time finding and it turned out it was super easy. I just needed to go to Stan's. I really like Stan's. But they have been pushing me away. The store was recently rearranged, which is fine except for the checkout. I am now forced to walk through two whole aisles of completely useless shit to get to the checkout. It's how stores operate sure, trying to trigger impulse buys, but it's petty and not representative of how I used to think If Stan's. Additionally when handed coupons for my next purchase after paying feels a bit predatory too. Like you were just holding on to that and could have saved me some cash in this purchase! I don't know, I guess altruism is dead. So the neighborhood hardware is just another company trying to peel money out of fingers, but it's also still a cool store with a warm vibe and a polite and helpful staff. read more

This place has everything ... Hardware,camping supply, outdoor gear, Boots Boots Boots shoes Boots and more Boots and did I say they had hardware ... Bolts, pipe fittings, lawn supplies( not much green grass around here) , Ace Hardware is part of the store. Way to much to list and prices are pretty good overall. Two thumbs up from me. Wouldn't return $30 cold pruf base layer leggings because their store considers them underwear. The packaging and receipt say legging/pant. Nowhere in the aisle does it say non returnable. The receipt states "no return on red x items" but it does not have a red x anywhere on the receipt. Also, who doesn't wear underwear with leggings?! I'm not usually one to make a fuss over things but I'm out $30 on a pair of LEGGINGS. The manager tried to say it was because of Covid but they take all other clothing item exchanges/returns. read more

I was excited to visit this store as I am when I see Ace Hardwares. Sadly this browsing stop was not exciting or fun. I am not sure why but we were followed around the store and stared at by several employees. As I looked at shoes, I was stared at and never offered help. At one point another employee took her place to stare at us some more. I was so uncomfortable that I didn't continue browsing the rest of the store. My husband bought a belt buckle. It honestly felt like they thought we were going to steal something which is perplexing because my handbag costs more than any single item in the store. I will not be back. read more

This was the second time I've been here. I come to town every 3 months or so. Last time, I came here specifically looking to purchase a handgun, which there were extremely helpful and would give them 5 stars. Customer service was amazing! And they were very knowledgeable about the holsters and extra magazines. I thought what a great place and would definately be back. But today I went in and although I was greeted with a hi when I walked in, it was just weird. I usually have a time frame and get what I need and get out but today, I had already finished all my errands and had plenty of time to just check out the store, no rush. Went through the hat section, clothing, shoes - I actually thought I was going to buy a pair but the associate was just not helpful at all. Every time I said something, she kept saying what? or hmmmm let me look. Which I can look myself, I didn't need her looking over my shoulder and just watching me. And every time I picked up a different shoe she would tell me it's wasn't the size I was looking for. I left that section and after that she started following me to different areas. Basically, I was followed around the entire store by several employees. I don't know what I did except take my time to browse around every where. Creepy and I probably won't be back. read more

Stan's is an odd blend of a sporting goods store, a hardware store, a general store and a second hand store. The service is superior, it's got a quaint feel, and it's amazing how the manage to have almost anything you need. It's conveniently located near the downtown, unlike the box stores, and is a landmark in the community. read more

I want to give this place 5 stars, but I called several times for "hard to find" items, and was told they didn't carry them. When I heard word around town that they have "everything" I visited in person, and an experienced 10+ yr staff member was called over and we found it all. I wasted 2 weeks in my garden for these items. I will go back, but don't think the peeps who answer the phone are interested in customer service. I love going here. I love when I can find something here instead of one of the "chain" stores in Wenatchee. We buy almost all of our beer brewing supplies from Stan's and they have a great selection for such a small town. There have a been a few times when we came for brewing supplies when there wasn't anyone on staff that had knowledge of the products so we had to make a second trip to have grain measured, etc. But I will always come back here, super friendly. read more
