The shop is fairly large in size for a uniform shop and I was impressed with the selection of items they had in stock. This shop is equipped with just about everything a first responder would need from uniforms, gear and in store alterations. When I walked in, I was immediately greeted by one of the ladies working there. She assisted me with my purchase without any issues. As for pricing, I would say they are on par with the other shops. The shop can be difficult to locate on your first visit. It is in a shopping strip mall and it is located to the north east just off Pacific Avenue.

I went there one day and they were closed because the AC was down and that's understandable on a hot day. I went back a couple days later and there was no one there to open the store. It was 12 o'clock in the afternoon on Saturday and people were waiting. Someone who was there to work on their windows had called the owner to find out where the person was who was supposed to open. She called her but no answer. Instead of sending someone else or coming down herself, she said to wait and call before coming to make sure it's open. If you're serious about your business and customers, you would do more. I find that very unprofessional as a business owner.

I used to drive hours to go to the Eddie Bauer outlet and I don't have to now! I do a lot of outdoor activities; hiking, fishing, walking, traveling, going to the outdoor gun range, etc. Their clothes are extremely practical for these activities. Comfortable and they keep the sun off of you. They fold neat and are lightweight for travel. I even have my wife, daughters, sons, son-in-law and grandchildren getting into the 5.11 mode. My grandson loves the caps that have cool Velcro patches you can interchange. 5.11 gift certificates are always a go-to option for birthdays, etc. As far as customer service, they are beyond great. At Eddie Bauer and Columbia I get the obligatory "hello" and "welcome to the store." That's it. 5.11 employees know their stuff and go out of their way to tell you about deals and new products. The manager in Turlock, Alexandra, is an absolute gem. I have gotten to know her and Stephanie (another great lady) from shopping at the store. They always let me know when products come in that they know I will like. Stores just don't have employees like these anymore. Old school approach to sales and service.

I have worked for a company for a little over 3 1/2 years that has used UniFirst since long before…read moreI got here. In 3 1/2 years our fees have gone from $250 a month to almost $400. So the owner told me to find a new company. The new company is giving us the exact same service for less than 1/3 of the price. So I reach out to UniFirst and give 30-days notice to cancel service. I'm informed that an agreement signed long before I ever started working here holds us to a 90-day cancel before the renewal or we auto renew for an entire year. Yep, if you want to be overcharged and get really poor service and then get held to a contract that hasn't been signed in at least 5 years... go here. If you want good service and a great attitude, go anywhere else. Man, even Aramark probably didn't pull this nonsense. Good grief.

How is that suppose to happen when they never deliver the clothes? We went without logo matts for at least 2 years, yet were still charged for them by the way. Every single delivery our guys are missing garments leaving them to wear greasy clothes multiple days in a row. They are unprofessional, on one occasion our previous driver tried to fight an employee of ours. Unifirst did nothing to remedy the situation just a forced apology and he continued to be our driver. I would not recommend Unirst to any business.
