Strongly Do Not Recommend I hired Carlos the owner of…read moreCentral Valley Marble, Tile & Stone due to his alleged 19 years of experience to remodel two small bathrooms for my daughter. It started out good I would come into town to check his work each week. The next few weeks he was not there when I arrived, but it looked like there had been some progress. Then I began to receive complaints about his work from the homeowners (HOS). He does not pay attention to detail as I witnessed. First, the HOS asked him to replace tile on the baseboard because it was uneven, and he got upset about it. Second, he neglected to grout much of the tile and again was upset the HOS asked him to correct his mistakes. (I have pictures). Third, I get a call and pictures that he refused to correct the shower faucet he installed which was protruding from the base, he said he thought it looked okay. This is unbelievable when you see the pictures. I asked him if this is the best he could do, and he replied "yes". At this point I was certain Carlos was not honest about his years of experience and was going to get someone else to finish his work. After speaking to the HOS, we decided it was unfair to pay him then hire someone to do fix his work. I told him I would call a plumber to install the faucet and deduct it from his pay. He argued with me that I was siding with the HOS. Then he decided he could fix it. Fourth, I received a picture that the bathtub over flow (chrome) was a different color than the faucet (brush nickel). He did not dispute this and made the necessary corrections. Fifth, when I walked through the bathrooms, I notice his caulking were awful/amateurish (see pictures). When the HOS moved in and began to use the facilities, there was another overflow that was missing, the caulking was awful and grout was missing you can see when standing. Of course, I contacted Carlos using the phone number we have always communicated with without a response. I have pictures of everything described in this review. Oh, did I forget one of his guys damaged a brand-new entry door. He tried to minimize the damage by saying the HOS were picky but agreed to pay for the repair. I found him to be disrespectful to the HOS. I told him if I had any idea he was this kind of person I never would have hired him. Needless to say. I am looking for a qualified contractor to fix his mess. In the strongest terms I DO NOT recommend Carlos.

First, Antonio the owner was VERY communicative. We spoke a lot about out bathroom tile and what was needed. I send him a lot of photos and he always texted or called. I hired Antonio based on our conversation and he immediately had us meet him at a tile store in Modesto. We had white ceramic tiles and grout that were from 1999 and this we upgraded to a slate style tile with dark grout that won't get nasty like white grout.**= We talked options and selected our tile. We received a quote and in the end the quote was just about spot on. He contacted me each day letting me know when the crew was coming. His crew (met 4 of them over the week) were all polite and professional. They do speak English as their second language but Antonio constantly communicates to make sure all is well. In the end we got the bathroom look we wanted at a reasonable price. Any comments about lack of communication are just not the case in my experience and there are always people who aren't good clients. Fortunately I saw the reviews after I hired him and while concerned, I soon realized I had a great guy to get the job done. We are very pleased and we are having him do our entire kitchen counters next. 5 stars for 2024! See before and after shots. Floor still is drying until Friday but you'll get the idea.

Wow what an amazing team of guys!…read more Francisco and his team stuccoed around 21 windows +1 door on our house recently. The quote was originally estimating start date of 7/2 and lasting 4-5 days. Well they showed up 1 day earlier, and finished in 3 days. They arrived each day on time, worked diligently all day long, were courteous and respectful. Cleaned up well around the house after the work was completed. The work itself looks great - and this is coming from people who replaced their windows on their own and KNOW what QUALITY workmanship looks like. Pricing was just right as well.
