Meat....GLORIOUS MEAT!!!! I LOVE a good piece of meat, with the emphasis on the word GOOD! I think…read morethere is nothing worse that looking forward to a good steak and finding it tough and tastless. I used to work in catering and have cooked many steaks in my time, SA Gourmet Meats used to one of my most closely guarded secrets! I have bought meany a tonn from them over the years and have never been dissapointed. When you walk into their show room, the angels begin to sing, and a sense of euphoria comes over you as the vast selection presents itself. All of the usual suspects are there in more forms than you can imagine. Don't see what you want? RUBBISH! But if it isn't there it will be obtained! I always leave the store with more than I ordered or planned to buy, and I never have buyers remorse (except for the meat sweats from time to time)! Oh.....the staff are brilliant by the way! They really know there meat, so if you need some help don't be afraid to ask. If your lucky a certain older figure will be behind the counter who used to work as a Chef, have a chat, you wont regret it!

Brilliant! I have…read morebeen using this butcher for several years and always recommend friends and family to use them too. Quality - exceptional Range - Extensive Service - 10 out of 10!!! Price - Hands down, their prices are the best in the district. I even use these guys to cater for functions at the army barracks where we feed around 50 hungry soldiers that like meat, lots of MEAT! If you are not using SA Gourmet Meats as your butcher, then you are paying too much for lower quality meat.

This is a meat lovers paradise to shop in! Goat, Pork, Poultry, Lamb, Beef and all at very…read morecompetitive prices. Nice looking meat. The staff are helpful and you can ask questions without feeling like they are going to mock you. The parking is off the main (busy) road and the shop is packed with produce. It's a small area and they make use of every bit of it. The prices are very good. If you have a family to feed this is a really good place to save a few dollars. Open six days a week. There are a few of these butchers around the area so if you want to get really picky about what you spend and how much you get for your dollar there is another place within a ten minute walk, where you can go compare the price and cuts of meat - on South Road - so even if you think you are getting a bargain you can go double check if you really want to. It does get busy at times and you may find yourself waiting a few minutes, but it is worth it. The meat is delicious and the place smells and looks very clean.

Saying Speciality Foods is a butcher is a little like saying a Ferrari is a mode of transport -…read moreit's true, but it doesn't really begin to describe what they do. I'm going to digress, for a moment, to their website, which, as well as explaining where to find them, and showing a full list of specials available, also gives the best explanation I've seen to the cuts of meat that are made from lamb, beef, pork and chicken, but also shows the differences, the correct terminology for each cut, and where it comes from on the animal. Brilliant stuff. Back to the store - a firm family favourite here is the yiros meat they supply - we've previously gone with the fresh product and picked up sauce, wraps, lettuce etc and made them up from scratch, but the great solution for a quicker dinner is the $25 pack they supply, complete with one kilo of par cooked meat that takes minutes to finish off to a beautiful, juicy offering, wraps and sauce to make up ten yiros. Again, brilliant stuff. Speciality Foods prepare products that you'll see in stores all around Adelaide, as well as being able to purchase direct from their store. They have the freshest meat, and every cut and joint of meat you can imagine. It's a trek from my home, but the savings are definitely worth it for top quality product. The carpark gets a bit frantic at times, but Thebbie Rd is a bugger to park on, so slip on in and wait your turn for a park - they're masters at keeping the turnover going so spaces open up all the time.

We really do have some good meat in Adelaide! There are a number of great quality Butchers around,…read moreand in most cases, the only major difference is the price. North Park Quality Meat is one of those good Butchers, and their prices aren't too shabby. Needless to say you will find all of the normal meaty goodness that you will find in most butchers, but they also have some prime cuts of high quality Angus and even some Wagu if you are lucky. There is also a very good selection of cured meats and silverside cuts that would suit thsoe with an older palet. I am a particular fan of their honey/soy marrinated chicken wings which have a very nice sticky consistency with an abundance of marinade. Stick them in the oven on 200-220 until they have just a bit of char and they go down an absoulte treat!

My partner and I have been going to this place since before it changed its name. This butcher used…read moreto be one of the Dalriada butchers that sold their terrarossa steak. Sounds like a bunch of fancy names that don't mean much... The meat you used to buy back then and the meat you buy now is the same, with the exception of a few name changes. It's of the same high quality, the same low prices and we really stock up when we go here. My personal favourite item to buy is the burger. You put this bad boy in the frying pan and when you remove it, it's exactly the same size. There's no shrinkage. George Costanza would be proud. What more can I say? Every time we go shopping we stock up here for our meat, then the fruit and veg store, then Coles for whatever else we may need.
