Opening our first Salon, we decided to go with Standish. On prior occasions, we had used them for booth rental equipment and were happy with the quality. We decided to dig deeper. In the end, we bought 3 stations, 3 chairs, 2 danbury bowls, sanitizers, fridge, accessories and a color bar. The Saxton color bar was a hand made unit and took a while to complete...made in USA on demand. However, it was so worth the wait. The look and function of our Salon (Bleach Hair Studio) was really fleshed out by the equipment. Could not be happier with our purchases. They even worked with us to ensure that every item we selected could be plumbed in the manner we chose. Ergonomics dictated that we bring plumbing in from the floor to allow for standing behind the shampoo bowls. The Saxton was also plumbed from the floor and the manufacturer made a pass through to accommodate this as well. The staff at Standish stand behind their products and were nothing short of helpful while we were going through our build-out phase. Ryein was our goto man and guru in all things related to Salon furnishings. He was responsive and very accommodating to our needs. Hannah also stepped up to the plate when he was out of office. I can not believe the horrible customer service Hannah. I ordered 6 styling chairs and three shampoo bowl units. One chair has 3 rips in it and all thee shampoo Bowls leak. I called them as soon as my plumber discovered the issue and they told how I could repair it. I had my plumber do that. I cost me money and time to have my plumber redo each bowl. I had to pay him for his time. I sent the invoice to standish for reimbursement but they said it was not their issue.......This is the email that was sent to me regarding the issue before I had it fxed. read more

Great customer service and timely delivery to Maryland. I ordered five chairs, a reception desk, shampoo bowls and shampoo chairs for my new salon. The Veronica chairs I ordered were out of stock till about May so I received an email asking if I wanted to wait for them, order a diff color or a diff chair, I decided to order the dukes instead. There was a price difference of 200$ that they refunded. I misunderstood the shipping time and needed the bowls earlier. Through the email I asked if I could get the sinks expedited. Standish was very kind in expediting my sinks without an extra charge. So.. Lol another thing was that my purchase was not under the amount they wanted to receive 15% off.. But they were so kind to still give me 15% on my items! And I got free shipping!! When I received my freight for the chairs and desk, the total for shipping was over 500$! And I got that for free! I have yet to assemble my purchases.. I think I'll do that this week. From the way the company is run and how the website is made, I'm really excited to see how the chairs and desk will add to the salon. Prices are unbeatable! We ordered the 4 gwenyth white chairs. They are very high quality and comfy. They were easy to assemble with no problems. We got the square base which is heavy and very stable feeling compared to our previous chairs from a different company. The shipping was fast and came delivered via freight. They do not deliver right to your suite so I would recommend having a way to get them from your outside door to your location. I would highly recommend Standish to anyone! I ordered 3 shampoo shuttles which came in 3 weeks late, and that was after I spent and additional $500 on expedited shipping. Ridiculous. Hannah was blissfully unhelpful as I called every week to check on my order. Getting nowhere I decided to call the shipping company to ask about my order who then contacted Hannah who then called me and, with zero trace of recognition of who I was, finally offered expedited shipping. Why such a run around, Hannah? You could have offered expedited shipping early on and it would have cost me less because they wouldn't have had to pull my order off one truck and put it on another. But it gets worst. The actual bowl on one of the shuttles BROKE IN HALF! Yep. After using the bowl for a few weeks a stylist brought to my attention what looked like a scratch running along the inside of the bowl near the neck rest about 4 inches long. That "scratch " started to travel and, like a cracked windshield, spread through out the bowl along the neck and underneath on all sides. I sent Hannah pics of the crack and even though I bought a 5 year warranty at the time of purchase she said it could not be proved to be a manufacturing defect. I persisted and got nowhere. Realizing I was never going to get the bowl replaced I asked if I purchased a new bowl would they waive, or help me out with, shipping cost. Again, NO. This week the bowl broke in half as a client was leaning back into the neck rest, pieces falling to the floor. Thanks for the quality product Standish Salon Goods. Now one of the other bowls has a suspicious "scratch" in the same spot, near the neck rest running across the inside about 4 inches long and I expect the same thing to happen over the next few weeks. How can this not be a manufacturing defect? How can you blame the customer? What good is a 5 year warranty( that cost extra!)? Why don't you stand by your product? You really should be deeply ashamed. This is APPALLING customer service but whats worst is this bowl is a deathtrap! Thankfully our client was not hurt which is just pure luck. read more

My issues with the chair is, my clients say its not comfortable and needs much softer cushion. The chair could have been made with sturdier quality. Also, since I offer facial waxing, my clients have to scoot down in chair while it's reclined. I honestly think this chair needs to have a headrest, very uncomfortable when i'm doing my clients eyebrow waxing. This chair is not worth $600 or $500 when it comes to being comfortable. The plastic chair cover came used, had some scuffs and particles on it. I could have gone with out it. I was charged extra for shipping, even-though they package the plastic cover in the same box as the chair. Standish was excellent to work with! The furniture arrived quicker than I imagined, everyone was very informative when I called with questions. It was a good experience. The only thing I didn't like, which is why it's 4 stars instead of 5, is that we had to notify them within 24 hours if furniture was damaged. I did end up having damaged furniture, but to unload 6 crates, open the boxes, and put the furniture together within 24 hours (especially when there wasn't much lead time as to when the boxes were going to come), was unreasonable. I ordered the "Manchester Shampoo Cabinet"; the cost - $ 898.00 TWO WEEKS passed, I decided to see my "tracking number", BUT this information was unavailable - there was some error. I got in touch with representatives of this company in writing and by telephone. They said that tracking number is incorrect, and they promise to send me a correct one. They promised to help me and find out about the "fate" of my order. One day passed, but no one wrote to my email and did not called me back. On the next day I tried again to contact them and again - the same story, they promised to help me, but no one wrote and did not call. We lost our money and most importantly - TIME! I really love my furniture that I bought from Standish! I was also really impressed with Erin, who initially helped me with my purchase. Unfortunately, I couldn't give them a higher review because they lost some staff during my dealings with them and it became very difficult to get any communication from anyone there. Easy to use website, customer service was nice. However, i was not happy when they sent me totally different color of furniture. I asked brown chairs, but they sent me black chairs instead. And also an arm cover of chair was broken. I don't think that was caused by freight company. Also a work tray that I ordered was missing..... Took few days to hear from them again after I spoke with them first time., but Tray came in few day later, I am still waiting for the replacement chair arm to be arrive. I hope so. Because I can't use the chair without arm. Will I do business with Standish?? i think so.... I read reviews before I purchased and ignored the poor reviews thinking it was the customer and not the business... NOT AT ALL!!! Clearly it's the business. I purchased new shampoo units from Standish and all was good until we saw a manufacturer flaw on one of our sink bowls. The black top coating wasn't completed on one of them so it looks like there is a huge scratch on one of them. When they sold me the bowls they acted like the warranty was amazing... It's a joke. Because I didn't call within 24 hours after them being delivered (we couldn't put them in until the floors were finished so they sat in the boxes until we were ready to install them) they won't do anything about it. BE WARE OF THIS COMPANY!!!!!! They do NOT stand behind their products or the manufacturing. They offered me a $50 gift card to appease me which to me is almost a slap in the face. My co-owner and I both are in love with the white Charlotte chairs that we purchased. I own a salon suite and ALL of the other tenants have came in and commented on how great our chairs look. The price was wonderful as well as the free shipping which initially drew us to the website. Shipping was extremely fast, we received the chairs in a week instead of the three weeks that was quoted. The chair covers were a good investment as well with the white chairs, they fit almost perfectly. The only thing that I would have done differently would have been to find Standish Salon Goods BEFORE I purchased my station from another site. Do not ever do business with this company! First off I would like to start by stating that I've spent thousands and thousands of dollars ordering furniture from this company and I regret spending every dime. I am passionate about independent business, so I went out of my way to seek this place out . The first time I ordered, I paid a couple hundred dollars extra to have all of my chairs and furniture assembled upon delivery. The shipping company they chose, literally left a crate full of plastic wrap boxes at the front step of my door at the shop. Not only did nothing get assembled, we had to cut through all the plastic wrap and assemble everything piece by piece, plus there were some pieces that were missing that we had to later order from this terrible company. HUGE MESS. For some reason I decided to give standish another chance and spend even more thousands of dollars ordering shuttle sinks which my wife explained to the phone representative of STANDISH , exactly how our shop was being constructed. Plus she mentioned that the traps for the sinks were being built for access BEHIND these shuttle. We were misinformed, so when the spec sheets finally arrived, my plumber and the construction of my shop was at a standstill because you have to load in these shuttle sinks from a side wall trap. I talked to two of the managers who literally treat you like just another person off the street as if you haven't spent tens of thousands of dollars with this bogus company and we had to rush order 2 more sinks. Being a business owner myself with integrity if A representative of my business gives misinformation, it is my duty and responsibility to rectify or at least recognize the fact that there is an upset client. I will do everything in my power to fix things that my employees do wrong . That was not the case here,. Hannah and the other manager have poor phone etiquette and they truly seem like they hate their job. Awful awful customer service. The last and final part of the story is the fact that I literally had to pay for both of the shipping cost of the original shuttle sinks, even though the sinks never even arrived to me! we gave ample time to make sure we intercepted the shipping before arrival . That's 250$ each way! I am out $500 now. Never again will I ever order from this terrible company. Their communication lacks structure and your left having to call them every single day of an order process because of misinformation on so many fronts.. I would give less stars if it was an option. This company is terrible. Worst customer service ever! I placed an order on September 1 and still have no salon chairs. I received 3 shampoo shuttles and one shampoo bowl arrived cracked. Standish says they can't do anything about it. It took a month to get anyone to even return an email about the situation. They are totally useless and even though the bowls "apparently" were supposed to have a warranty the company will NOT honor it. Why have a warranty if you send me damaged products and won't replace them. They told me I could pay for another shampoo bowl If I wanted one that wasn't cracked all the way through! The original invoice was supposed to be for just over $5000 and today I found out that after we placed the order and were issued a receipt our card was actually charged almost $6000. They changed the cost of our chairs and I guess hoped we wouldn't notice when the bill came. This is all for an order that was now placed seven and a half weeks ago and still no chairs. When I was in the showroom we were told it could take up to 2 weeks but that we'd probably have them in a few days bc they already had them in stock. We waited and the chairs just never came. This company is beyond shady and I'm still trying to get the equipment I've now been MASSIVELY overcharged for. If this isn't resolved immediately I'm turning them into the Better Business Bureau. The other reviews show how poor the customer service is. We literally call and call and call to get no response. I wish I could attach the emails I've received from their customer service where the girl actually writes that she had to go home early bc she was sick the day before :( . Did I mention that our shampoo bowl was missing parts too and I have to pay another plumber to come out AGAIN to hook the last bowl up, but at least I've got that other cracked one too! Do yourself a favor and avoid this company. Other reviews show people having similar experiences. Hope this company will step up and do what they need to in order to resolve our issues! Don't get fooled by all the rah-rah about "American Made" furniture. SOME pieces are but you have to check. My chairs were cheap Chinese chairs. They came with stains, covers didn't fit or came with scuffs, and 1 base did not work. I WILL SAY, HOWEVER, they will replace anything that is wrong quickly and free of charge. I recommend them if you have time to receive and keep sending things back until they are right. I ordered with a looming opening and let many issues go because I was desperate to open. Do not let things go because they will help you but not if u wait. It was a definite learning experience. Shipping carrier was horrible, I almost got into a fist fight with them but Standish was kind enough to send replacements from then on through Fedex which is nice. Like I said, not the best quality but they will try to fix it. Unfortunately, It was just too much of a process for my comfort zone with my first salon. read more
