Placed an order for printer ink to pick up in store. Drove up to the store, parked and went inside to pick up the ink. Long line on a Friday mid day. Customer service was totally lacking. After waiting about 10 minutes it was my turn. I told the associate what I was picking up. Gave home my name several times and the order number. The associate seem very confused as he was trying hard to sell me printer paper, then a membership to something. I told him no thank you. That I just wanted my item and to recycle some old ink cartridges. He told me I needed to purchase $50.00 in order to cycle cartridges to which I reminded him that I had just spent $60.00. Printed a highly confidential document and specified it should be help at the copy-print center (which is one of the options online). I assumed I would have to present an ID or order confirmation. Instead, when I went to pick it up, I was told "oh it's on the shelf over there. You can just pick it up". It was sitting on a shelf, outside the copy-print center, where ANYONE could just pick it up. I asked why it was out in the open he said they were doing some work (there was no visible evidence) so they just stuck everything on a shelf out in the store. Totally unacceptable. read more

This may not be a big deal to some, but as a customer the presence of the physicial plant reflects the business as a whole. I visited the OD at 15375 S.W. Freeway on 1/28/2025 and used the men's restroom. I was shocked at the appearance and state of disrepair it was in. Attached are some photos. The wash basin and countertop is the n serious need of repair or replacement. Additionally all that was provided for customers to wash their hands was a roll of paper towels and a large bottle of dish detergent? sitting on the counter, that us rusty around he basin and along the back where the countertop meets the wall. A toilet brush used for cleaning the toilet was lying on the floor under the countertop. The inside of the entry door looked as if someone had stood and scratched the paint off with a key ? ... The men's room looks cold, uninviting, and just plain filthy and creepy. Not one picture or attempt to make it presentable. Needs some serious work. To the Manager or Owner: Do you really want your customers to see or use this space in its current condition?? Wondering what the ladies have to endure??? read more

This is a good Office Depot store located right off the highway in Sugarland and they have pretty much everything you would want and are well stocked, but the prices are very high as you would expect. They tend to have exactly what I need every time, but customer service is unbelievably poor. Came into the store 10 minutes before they closed (needed something last minute and it was conveniently open, thought I had enough time), found my item and went to the cashiers with 8 minutes left in the clock. Both employees ignored me, one at the cashiers kept making glares at me while doing her own thing. Waited a few more minutes before the other employee comes back, sees me, and continues to the doors to shut close with the metal brackets. Eventually dropped my item and went to the door before he completely locked me in, all I get was "oh sorry". At least acknowledge your customers and say we are closed or the registers are closed out for the night. read more

The staff here are so friendly and super nice; especially the lady at the print shop. I came in to make color copies of a flyer and margins kept getting cut off. She was VERY PATIENT and kept trying different margin sizes and paper sizes until we could get it the best way. I sent one of my staff members over to pick up flyers that he already made through the website ahead of time as well as paid for them. Was told they would be ready that evening & they weren't. We were told to "come back tomorrow". We needed them as soon as possible, but understood and gave them the benefit of the doubt that they were probably just busy. He went the next morning just to find the store not opened with employees waiting in the parking lot. The store did not open until over an HOUR AFTER it was supposed to. When the doors finally opened, the lady was extremely rude, unprofessional, and was not helpful at all. She then, told us there was gonna be an additional charge because the flyers weren't formatted correctly (which was not the case since they were made through the website the day before with no problem). We then asked for our money back and she even made that difficult. It was only until he asked for a manger we got our money back. 10/10 do not recommend. read more

Already placed AND paid for my order. Nothing on the website said they would close at 6 pm on Halloween. RIDICULOUS!!!! All I needed to do was pick up 2 things out of the little box they put your pre-paid order in and leave. Would they open the door? No! I came to this location to order printing for a tax exempt organization. This location was unable to ring up a tax exempt sale. I was told that only the manager could accomplish this task and that he would not be in until later in the week. Apparently, calling the manager or another store for the process would be too much to ask. I was out and about and needed to print a one page document quickly. My document was on a USB drive and in my email. I did a quick search online and the internet told me to either go to UPS or Office Depot. A UPS store popped up first so I stopped in. The guy told me that it would cost $2.00 to use their computer and then $0.12 for one black and white copy. They pointed me towards their computer station and left me on my own. I was surprised to hear about the $2.00 fee to use their computer so I left. Headed to Office Depot next and I told the lady what I needed. She took my USB and printed my document in 30 seconds. Total cost? $0.15! Office Depot was incredibly helpful and reasonably priced. Now I know where to go for printing needs when I am away from home or the office. read more

Who can say no to a beautifully crafted pen or an electric hole punch? Not me! I could spend a whole paycheck at Office Depot. This location is centrally located in Sugar Land right off of the Southwest freeway. It has tons of parking and is easy to find. I like this location more than others for a couple of reasons. 1) They keep it organized. Sometimes you walk into these types of stores and things are strewn about. This location keeps things tidy. 2) When I needed to make a tax-exempt purchase for my school, they made things so quick an easy. I've had the serious run around at other stores, but this Office Depot made it happen in under 5 minutes. I will continue to head here for my office and school supplies, office furniture, and printer supplies. I could spend hours in the aisles. If you see me here, just stop by and say hi. This location has been great, I even drive out of my way to come to this location as they always have the supplies I need when other locations usually missing something, Employees and managers have been great as well. Provided a lot of help when needed and checkout is real quick. The new pickup seems to be quite useful as well. Keep up the great work. 2020 update: Low on supplies even though the next closest store has plenty. Which they kind of been out for weeks. Staff are not at all helpful! We asked a personnel who was restocking an aisle to check for an item that says on their website was available in store. The guy went to the aisle of the item we were inquiring about, used his handheld device to scan the barcode, shrugged and left. We thought he went to the back to check the item. After about 10 minutes we started looking for the guy and found him back at the aisle he was restocking. We approached and asked if he found it and he replied with a very snarky and condescending attitude that it wasn't available in store. We were taken aback as to where his attitude was coming from since we certainly did not deserve it. We drove 30 minutes just to get to this store! I cannot comprehend how this guy got trained for customer service but he clearly needs to get retrained! Sorry not going back to this store! read more

I visited this store to do a return last night and was highly disappointed with the customer service. My husband pulled up to the front door so he could unload the chair we were returning and I jumped out to get in line. Before I could even get through the doors, 2 employees said "we close in 2 minutes" and basically waved me to come back another time. My husband overheard and told them we weren't trying to shop, just make a return and they should be able to do this for us within those 2 minutes. They didn't argue with him and I got in line. There was one employee checking out a customer while the rest were standing by the door, I guess to ensure no one else comes in. I was in line behind another customer for quit some time because she had a lot of questions about the product she was buying. While in line, I noticed that one of the employees kept watching the line, look over at the door and then look at his watch every 30 seconds. Seriously, he kept looking at his watch as if he couldn't wait to get off the clock. I get it, I would want to go home too but his actions only made me, as a customer feel like a nuisance, and that's not something I want to feel if I'm supporting your business. Anyhow, before the cashier was able to complete my transaction, she needed a manager override. The manager came over and did his thing but then realized he was doing a return and said "oh, this is a return? I already closed the books and now we're going to show negative." He then shouts "looks like we're going to be here another ten minutes guys, I have to redo the books!" My first thought was to apologize because I always sympathize with people but instead said "thank you" and quickly exited the store. When I got in the car, I told my husband, "this is why I buy everything from Amazon!" It's not my fault your store policy says to let me in while you're still open and definitely not my fault you closed the books early, Mr. Manager. Absolutely terrible and unprofessional. I ordered 200 fliers that were extremely important for business. First time I went to pick them up at the time given to me and was told that they were not ready, and he really had no idea where they were but just to "come back tomorrow." No sorry or anything. I come back the next morning to pick them up at the time I was told, and the store was CLOSED. It opened an hour and a half after it was supposed to because the employees did not open on time. I walk inside, and I was told that she could not cut the fliers for me and that she could not give me a discount (because that's not what I paid for).... anyways, extremely rude staff member and very unprofessionally ran business. I came here today to take care of faxes and the rep "SHARON" at the Business Service Center was EXTREMELY RUDE! The first time I walked in she was rude so I left out and was going to come back tomorrow but I went back in the store to take care of my business and she was STILL rude! To top it off when I asked for a pen she threw it on the counter then SHE WAS ARGUING WITH ME when I explain to her she did NOT do what I asked! I then asked for the Supervisor which he was "right there" and Kevin took care of me and made sure I was taken care of. But she needs to be taught what Customer Service mean when working in a Customer Service center! I should have taken out the time from my busy schedule to write this review quite some time ago as the young lady that gave me great customer service in the Print & Copy department seems to no longer be working there. I wanted to share that I really appreciate that when I email my print jobs to Ods00416Cpc@OfficeDepot.com I always get a prompt email or call letting me know "Your order is ready for pick up". I am in and out quick and my order is right! I have received professional customer service from Dillion in print & copy as well. I have been patronizing this store for many years and know when things are done right and when they are not. I can say Mr. Phil Thompson, store manager, keeps the store well organized, always clean and a pleasant place to shop. I often have seen him personally assisting staff and customers. I also have consistently received outstanding customer service from the following employees - Aleyah (always a great smile & good attitude at checkout); Craig - so helpful, knowledgeable in tech dept (you can always single him out with his variety of hair colors lol); Mark Robertson is also quite the gentleman and always willing to help with product knowledge, run and get an item I may have forgotten while standing in line to check out and don't want to loose my place.(you may have to wait for his good help as it always seems there is more than one customer at a time needing his assistance). Those are my favorite employees to interact with that consistently give good customer service. I also have dealt with Alexis (asst manager) but did not enjoy the experience nor attitude. I'm a frequent shopper at this location, I can say I've generally have had a good experiences at this store but there was a time last year I questioned why they hired some of the folks but for the most part all those that did not give good customer service are out of there as well they should be! My background as a manager and retail buyer gives me a keen sense of who is cut out for retail and who isn't. read more

By far the worst Office Depot I've ever visited. The cashiers are lethargic and terribly lazy and slow. The manger has no interest in helping the customer , nor making sure that merchandise is placed in it's proper place, thus causing the customer to think an item is one price and once you get to the cashier, it's different. This is a major issue! Understaffed, lazy employees and an even lazier manager make going here a horrible shopping experience. read more

On my lunch break, I went in to purchase a personal desk for my office at work. After selecting one, and having to wait a very long time (seemed like they were short-staffed and the sales rep was helping other customers at the same time whenever he was interrupted), I finally received my item and went to pay for it. I was told that it would be delivered to my place of business in three days. I made the purchased and in three days my desk arrived! However, after opening the box, there were no table legs! Can someone explain to me how in God's green earth can a sales rep sell me an office work table WITHOUT legs?! He NEVER mentioned that legs were not included and they needed to be purchased separately! Customer service online and by phone was a joke with only apologies but no compensation, if you consider a $10 refund one! I am a sales rep at my company - I work solely on commissions; I had to take time off to drive back to this location and purchase the table legs to go with my desk! Oh yes, after speaking with the floor mgr on duty, and him explaining to me that the sales rep who made my purchase was new and proper training not given to him, I was given 10% off for the desk table legs. I am DONE with Office Depot and Office Max. Their customer service has much to be desired!!! They don't even deserve one star. read more
