There isn't a time I have a problem with this business. I've decided I have no choice unless I don't mind driving another 7 miles to the next stationary place. I've made the mistake of not printing my receipts. Today I brought my bank statement clearly showing two identical amounts being charged to my checking account. Yet since they can only print one receipt they wouldn't refund me the second. This wasn't the first time, I've been duped by this business. The other time I purchased a set of ink cartridges. They were the kind that can be refilled. Plain packaging. I took them home and they were the wrong kind and my printer wouldn't accept them as correct. I took them back and was told they didn't sell that type (re-fill able) ink. Being this is the closest stationary store to me I know for certain where i purchased them. Needless to say I could get a refund or an exchange. I give up I surrender you win. All I can do is pass this info on to others and never place my foot or my wallet in this place again. Yelp is asking if it's a matter of value that I am so disappointed in Office Depot or Office MAX. I'd say no & yes. There is no value in this jip joint!!! "AMAZING CUSTOMER SERVICE" "ISAIAH" IS EXCEPTIONAL I called the store to discuss if I was choosing the right printing supplies to do an online order and arrive when ready to pick up. I called and ISAIAH was available and I begin to share I am a graduate student who needed two books printed for my learning skills. He verbalized understanding and literally walked me through the steps until the end to ensure I was comprehending the information correctly. Then I went to pick up the items and noticed the wires was not tucked correctly on one book. The customer service rep at the counter assisted me and I was very pleased. The book came out very good and I had a coupon to use and it gave me a great discount. In spite of mixed reviews, I can say my books were printed well and it was organized and in sync. read more

OfficeMax - Richmond, TX Location I've been coming to this OfficeMax location for over 10 years, always relying on their printing and copying services for both personal and business needs. Unfortunately, today's experience was extremely disappointing. When I arrived this afternoon, I was met by two associates -- one named Austin -- who told me that I could no longer use any of the copy services after 2:00 p.m., even though the store is open until 6:00 p.m. This has never been an issue before; I've used the same services during these hours many times over the years. It felt less like a policy change and more like the staff just didn't want to assist or take the time to help. After being a loyal customer for over a decade, I expected better professionalism and consistency. I went to Office Max to make some color copies. I had the file in my email and one of the workers asked to use the copier machines available. The file was very large, so it did not send to the copier machine. I asked him if I could send it directly to the store and he said no. There were many people trying to do it by themselves, and he wasn't help at all for any of us. If you are working in customer service, do your best to attract customers, not to make them leave. I'm sure I will never come back to this Office Max, worst service ever. read more

Today was a not so good experience. I picked up a large print order only to be greeted by a not so happy full of attitude, grumpy rude employee by the name of Noah. Crazy thing is, Noah is usually decent, but today he was very rude and standoffish. This put a sour taste in my mouth with this location. I went in to order a stamp and right off I go the impression I was nothing the employees. I stood there for a second and one of the employees said can you help that lady. A few seconds passed and then he meanders over and say "What do you need?" I almost went off on his attitude but didn't. Shortage of staff in print station constantly. Even when there's a five person line with just one cashier neither does manager tony come to help nor any of the other cashiers and staff that are standing around. If you call to ask a question expect at least as 20 minute wait if the phone ever even gets picked up. read more

Customer service online is horrible. I emailed to say I ordered 3 cartridges and there were only 2 in the box when I received it. Email back said the guy would check with the carrier to see where the box was and get back to me. Sent a reply reiterating I was missing ONE cartridge, not the whole box. This morning they said that they checked with the carrier and the box was delivered (in very broken English again). When I explained again to this new person AGAIN, then they finally said they would credit my account for the missing cartridge. This shouldn't have had to be multiple emails back and forth. Hire people who actually understand what you are saying and can help out without inconveniencing customers. I bet Office Max is now outsourcing to another country. sad. read more

Greeted as I entered store. Went to print area and was able to get something laminated very quickly and was out of the store in 5 minutes.

I have never felt so harassed to sign up for a rewards program when I checked out. I seldom shop at this store and was in a rush. The cashier would not stop asking me to sign up to the point I asked him why he was harassing me to sign up because every time I said no thank you he kept say are you sure, you need to sign up, are you sure every time I said no. He said they like people to sign up. I finally had to ask him to stop asking me. I almost left and not purchased anything. I certainly will never go back to this store EVER! read more

You guys always do a nice job printing my comics/art but I will literally walk out of your store instantly if I see that guy with the greasy hair that works at the print center. I come to your store to shop for office supplies and get stuff printed, I do NOT come to your store to have that greasebag hit on me. The moron working in the "Copy Center" told me over the phone that they had a wide format copier. I needed to make some copies in a rush so I drove 10 miles to this location. When I got there, he said he could only print wide format. When I pointed out that I called ahead and asked about copies, he ignored the point of the conversation and just repeated that he could only print. No admission or even acknowledgement of his screw up. His Manager didn't seem to care either. How the hell does someone work in a "Copy Center" and not know the difference between a copy and a print? read more

I will never do business with this company. I was waiting for the print center employee to help, but he was more concerned with attempting to flirt with female customers. I had to service the printer myself because nobody there was capable of assisting a customer. Should a customer really be responsible for getting paper and cleaning out the paper punches from the 3-ring binder tray? If so, don't charge me $80 for a print job that says is costs $18 online. I explained that they messed up the print job because it was supposed to be black and white but printed color and it was supposed to be double sided and printed single. They did not even think twice to ask about the error. I should have demanded a manager on the spot, but I was so upset that I knew better than to have a conversation with them at my frustration level. print department cancelled my (prepaid) online order due to "copyright issues" without even calling me to sort it out. Called the manager and now she's completing the order. And no my documents I sent are not under copyright and not even marked as such. Even then she asked "just 1 copy of each?". I took this to imply that had I wanted more than 1 copy she would have sided with her employees. Going to try and work this transaction out since I already paid for it but then I'm taking my business elsewhere. I don't need this extra hassle - life is stressful enough already. read more

Hmmmm, where to begin. If you wanted to be treated as if you are a complete bother to the employee's valuable time, stop here first. Not only do they belittle you, it is amazing to watch other customers in the store oddly go through the same process. Why are Brick and Mortar stores falling so far behind economically? Oddly enough, after 1000's of transactions on eBay or Amazon, there have only been a few negative experiences that were taken care of quickly. Surprisingly enough, they were complete strangers - this is called a paradigm shift So, if your dream job is working minimum wage (or slightly higher) while bringing your angst to work, this is the first place to look for a job. read more
