We were looking for a particular piece for our sprinklers and decided to make do with what we found until Jake asked if he could help us. When we told him what we were looking for, he knew exactly where it was. We were grateful for his help and became extremely impressed when we found out it was only his 5th day on the job! This year, I've noticed a significant drop in customer service. The staff are unhelpful, don't seem to know much and are sometimes downright rude. I sent my son in there yesterday to buy a couple of things and they were rude to him and not helpful at all. He said he felt like they were irritated with his questions. I had to swap out some pipe dope that my son bought yesterday that had clearly been used and then returned. I went in to swap it for a new can and the guy was clearly irritated that I was bothering him. Barely said a word to me. I should have got his name. He's in his 50s or early 60s, was wearing a green America 250 cap and a black Ace Hardware t-shirt. Has a real attitude. If I had the time, I would have given him some pointers on customer service. If he's the owner, this store has a real problem. I think I'm going to drive a few miles and use a different store from now on. I don't need the attitude. The prices in here are higher, but I was willing to pay for the convenience. Not anymore. Word gets around about this kind of behavior. This store won't do well if they keep this up.
