I'm not sure how new this store is (I don't go to Kaysville often), but they had complimentary popcorn at the front for the customers. We were looking for a particular piece for our sprinklers and decided to make do with what we found until Jake asked if he could help us. When we told him what we were looking for, he knew exactly where it was. We were grateful for his help and became extremely impressed when we found out it was only his 5th day on the job! Before massive orange or blue hardware stores. It seems like ACE was the original friendly neighborhood hardware store. But no, this is actually a new-ish location (2017, maybe?) and I haven't really internalized its presence. But I should. You should too. In the age of the aforementioned hardware behemoths, it's actually pretty darn rad that this spot is here. It's the same owners as "The Store" which is a specialty grocer that has a very fond spot in my heart, as it was grandma's grocer of choice. It's really an eclectic spot which reminds me of those old time hardware stores that do sell hardware, but also party supplies and decor and all kinds of things that don't fit into the category of "groceries." I'm a fan. But those big stores got popular for a reason, so if you are hardcore set on just hardware and lots of varieties of it everywhere, this smaller ACE will not have the same selection. But there's something charming about not having a billion choices, and about finding what you need, directed by a friendly person who will help you find it.

I just ran over there to grab some trimmer string, for three spools it was $28 bucks and change I thought, well that must be what it's going for so I grabbed it and then I saw the mower drive wheels I needed so I grabbed those which were $28 each! I was in a hurry and paid and got to my appointment, then I thought, man, those prices seem expensive let's checkout Amazon and see what they want for those products? Instead of the trimmer line being $10 bucks each, they were $1.50 each, the drive wheels for my mower were $28 bucks for two wheels instead of $28 bucks each I grabbed my receipt and back to Lowe's I went and returned them! The checkout girl said well we have price matching. I told her if Lowe's can't give me an honest price the first time I don't want them. I've been burned too many times by these big heartless corporations that steal money from working people to make some billionaires richer!
