I have waited 2 months for my glasses and get the same answer everytime I call the store "sorry your glasses are not in yet. Still having equipment problems now we are back ordered" I paid in full for my glasses but I do not have them yet. I am 87 years old and believe me I need my glasses. After waiting months for the glasses they offered my money back. I do not want the money back I just want my glasses after waiting all this time. Would not recomment them to anyone. read more

If there was a way to give zero stars I would. Not only have they gotten prescription wrong 3 times with 3 different eye exams but now the most recent time after a 20 week waiting period for glasses(initially 10 day waiting period we were told) now they didn't put in the coatings we paid extra for. So now they want to do yet ANOTHER eye exam and make us wait another 16 weeks for glasses because of THEIR screw up. I demanded a refund due to their negligence met with argument because they've done the prescription twice (due to THEIR mistakes) now we are 600$ into glasses that are not the correct prescription nor the correct product we paid for and they have the audacity to tell us they can't refund us and want us to do yet another eye exam. Worst customer service I've ever dealt with and zero responsibility from the staff on their mistakes with customer blaming. I wouldn't recommend my worst enemy to get glasses here. Ridiculous amount of time to get glasses back. Ordered in February and still nothing. I have called left voicemails and nothing. Tried to go in during hours of operation and the door is locked with nobody in there. I ended up having to pay rush shipping to order glasses from another company. Done at this point. read more

The customer service agents at this place are very knowledgeable about their products and insurance. But Contact wearers BEWARE! The eye doctor at this location has something against contacts, claiming they "ruin" your eyes. He will hard sell you on glasses and $7000 eye surgeries and write contact prescriptions out of your price range. Oh and the Dr., told me my current glasses, which he wrote the prescription for were too strong, but it wasn't his fault or mine. read more

have been to standard optical in tooele twice now....first time I bought my glasses from them...huge mistake....today i went in again to buy another pair of glasses and they wouldnt help me...no-one but me was in there...they were too busy playing on their computers...I hope other standard optical stores are better than this one...the three um...ladies.... there were very unprofessional..I'm sure you can do better than that , standard optical....from now on wal mart optical will be getting my business... read more

Dr. Clark and the staff in Tooele are very friendly and eager to assist. I wouldn't go anywhere else. They referred me to Dr. Williams, in Holladay, who performed my Lasik surgery. I thought this was a nice place but it turned out to be a nightmare. This was my first time visiting this place and had never had my eyes dilated before so I was not aware of the outcome. They don't inform you that they will dilate your eyes and when the exam is over they just release you to go, needless to say I could barely see driving home..very dangerous. They need to make sure to inform you of their procedures and to make sure you have a driver when dilating. Very unprofessional! read more

I wish I could give the location in Tooele no stars. The women that work there have the worst customer service I have ever encountered. They billed the wrong insurance, charged us improperly, lied about phone messages they supposedly left, and then told us we were liars when we brought up the issues. I wish I could give this company a lower rating. Please do not waste your time or money. I had a comprehensive eye exam here, which included dilation. I was told by the "optometrist" that my contact prescription had not changed, and that the contact prescription I currently had was fine. When I tried to order contacts online from a different vendor, Standard Optical stated that they had no record of a contact prescription. I now have to have another exam just so I can get my prescription verified. I promise it will not be at Standard Optical. read more
