Good place to grab a quick healthy lunch! Their sandwich selection changes daily, so you never know what you're going to get (unless you check on their website prior to coming hah). Got their sandwich of the day (codling fish and kale sandwich) and it tasted really really healthy. Even though it's not the best sandwich I've had, I felt good consuming it into my body. Fresh ingredients and lots of green! I love that they have the option to order half a sandwich. It's not cheaper to order a full size. You can look at their menu the day before, they update it right after closing time. Can also order online and pick up. They just started dinner service and it's so good!!! Had the Seared Albacore Niçoise. It was perfect. The albacore was extremely tender but crispy on the edges. The roasted chiles? Incredible. All of the veggies complemented the dish and it felt very cohesive. And the vinaigrette was amazing in bringing everything together. I have been told about this place many times, so wanted to try for a celebration lunch! The people in line were clearly regulars, and no one shared a smile. The cashier was a bit rude, and I didn't feel any warmth from the atmosphere whatsoever. Parking was reasonably easy, the line looked long (about 20 people) but moved quickly and the food was creative, fresh and full of flavor. We started out with a latte which was fantastic and then moved on to the Sweet Potato soup lovely with a hint of ginger (I would have like this just a little bit thicker). I had the half sandwich (Roastbeef with thinly sliced daikon radish on a focaccia bread and the house salad perfectly dressed. My wife ordered the Potato and Kale Frittata Sandwich which she loved but was quite messy. On a bed of mashed purple parsley???? Spouse got the roast pork sandwich which was the other thing I wanted. I thought we could do that thing we do sometimes where we share a bite but neither of us cared for the other's food because we were really feeling our own. He's a man of few words but he gave it high praise (said it was "good") so when I asked if he'd order it again, he said yes!! That's saying a lot because he's typically the type to want to try everything offered. Y'all. My chicken was perfect. The parsnips looked like your typical beige mash but that KALE?!? I can't tell if it was supposed to be warm or not because it was cooled down a bunch by the time we made it the mile journey home. Please eat it there. It was still wonderful and I rolled my eyes back a few times even though it was tepid so I cannot imagine it warmer. I might have to go back soon and try it out! We also split the olive cake that has poached pear on top of it (I can't remember what the other fruit is?) and it was moist, dense, and perfect with coffee after our meal. DISHES Their menu changes regularly but you can check online before you go. There is usually a vegetarian and meat option for things like sandwiches. RECOMMENDATIONS The two soups I've had have been so delicious, so regardless of what type of soup it is I'm now curious to try it. If there are items leftover from breakfast I wouldn't recommend ordering during lunch because it is no longer hot and fresh. SERVICE Ordering has always been pretty painless and rather quick despite having to wait in line. The last time I went they no longer offered online ordering but if/when it returns I would recommend ordering ahead if you want to cut down your wait time for the food. While the weekday breakfast menu is limited, the items are good. Breakfast features a breakfast sandwich, fritatta selection, a bowl of oatmeal and pastries. All items are fresh, well curated, and tasty. The savory stuff is what you're here for. 2) The breakfast here is good, but pretty spartan on weekdays relative to weekend brunch. Really sweet cafe and I love all the seating options - especially outside. I only discovered this place because I was on my way to trying Third Culture Bakery. I was stoked because I felt like I should have some savory food first. I ordered the 1/2 mushroom sandwich and eggplant soup meal deal. They were both pretty good - even better when I dipped the sammie into the soup. The only glitch for me was that the soup really just tasted like chicken stock. I just interpreted that, with the eggplant, I was going to get a creamier, richer, eggplantier experience.
