If you're in the mood for some great Italian food and some giant portions take a ride over to Stallone's Italian Kitchen on Glades Road west of the turnpike in Boca. Situated in a small shopping center with Rooms To Go, Stallone's is much more than your local pizza joint. Our drink order was taken and delicious fresh rolls were delivered to our table as we made up our minds on what to order. Steve ordered chicken parmigiana and I chose spaghetti with meatballs. Michelle and Illona ordered the Italian Feast for two. We all started with a bowl of pasta fagioli and munched on the rolls while our dinners were being prepared. Once the entrees came we were floored by the quantity of food. Steven had two large chicken breasts over a large mound of spaghetti. My spaghetti, which I ordered fra diavolo, was topped with three meatballs and the girls' Italian feast was just that: Chicken parmigiana, lasagna, spaghetti, meatballs, and sausage with peppers and onions. I have been eating at Stallone's of Boca Raton for years. Luncheons and dinners were always delicious. However, I went to have dinner there on Sunday, June 18, 2017. While waiting to be seated, I noticed that one of the cooks had her bare hands scooping vegetables out of a bowl and scooped out cooked spaghetti from another bowl again without gloves. My husband and I told the hostess and left the restaurant. I will not eat there again. Sadly, once you see it, it's difficult to go back. It's a shame, the food is good and it's a local little Italian place that you very rarely have to wait to be seated. Always filled with Patrons and service is friendly. Yep, this is the same family that owned Stallone's on Rockaway Blvd in Queens , Kirkman in Orlando, etc. Brothers Bobby and Jimmy own this one. Fantastic place , very clean and very NY. Veggie Pizza comes with spinach, mushroom, onion, green pepper and plum tomato. I asked to substitute spinach with pepperoni and add garlic and they upped the charge $6. They charge you an additional $3 for a substitution which is unfair. They put slices of tomato on each piece but very little green pepper, mushrooms, pepperoni or garlic, so it was mainly tomato and onions. The crust is a bit wide in places so you get less real pizza slice, but all-in-all pretty good pizza. The added cookies were a nice surprise and good, tasted like biscotti. read more

Finding a good Italian restaurant is a challenge here however, we are lucky enough to have this jewel right in the middle of Boca. Growing up in Chicago between Sicilians and Napoletans I know great Italian food and this place does not disappoint, it't like eating in nonnas kitchen. So far we have had the chicken parmigiana, chicken piccata, lasagna, pizza and fettuccine alfredo - all the meals were excellent and the portions are more then generous. So that brings me to service, again another win! Walking in you are greeted by a friendly smile and immediately feel right at home. Alex was our server and he was outstanding! very attentive, helpful and just pleasant to be around. The good news is that if you do not have time to dine in they have delivery and carry out options and the ladies are very friendly on the phone and very quick when picking up. We have gone to Stallone's for years and have always had exceptional food and decided to use them to cater our daughter's engagement party this past weekend. Not only were they early for the venue, but their staff quickly set up the presentation. The food was amazing. Many guests asked where we had it catered from; that says a lot because my daughters fiancés family is Italian! Bobby the owner quickly calmed my fears about quantities; we had leftovers for days. Went with another couple. They have full Italian menus The four of us ordered the chicken scarpiello dinner for two except we changed it to dinner for three and paid for extra salad. We should have kept it the dinner for two and ordered two xtra salads as there was way to much delicious food for the four us. Very good service and food. I have visited Stallone's on two separate occasions and have not been disappointed so far. Their regular cheese pizza (Margharite) and their Stallone's special are wonderful. I know these people since I was a little girl in Queens, NYC, and was so delighted when they opened up in Boca. The Stallones brought their legendary reputation and tradition of fine food with them. This is authentic, delicious, home-cooked Italian. There is no better here in Boca. The pricing, specials or not, is excellent, for the quality and quantity of food. My personal faves are the Wedding Soup, Penne a la Vodka, Tilapia, and the Veal Marsala. Also... they have the most delicious Cannoli in all Florida - always fresh and filled just before serving. Alex is my family's favorite server, very attentive, friendly and fun. Do not miss this gem of a restaurant in West Boca. As an Italian who rarely orders red sauce dishes out because I'm usually disappointed, I can tell you their red sauces are molto bene!!! read more

Greg, Soup & half sandwich lunch, Italian wedding soup, chicken parm I came here for lunch with a friend of mine, and I couldn't say we were impressed. We had Greg as a server, and I think most of the time it felt like he was trying to rush us out the door rather than actually worry about our experience. He didn't say hi, didn't introduce himself, didn't welcome us at all. He popped in like a ninja right over my friend's shoulder, so close to him that my friend actually got startled and leaned away as Greg asked, "What are you guys having?". As we were ordering the lunch special, I asked (because I try to get the waiter's input at every first-time visit to every restaurant I've ever been to), "Which sandwich would you recommend?", to which he seemed very annoyed. He said they're all great, and as I started to say "I'm between the chick--" he interrupts with "Just pick one", or "Come on", or something (I honestly can't remember exactly what he said, I just remember he was clearly trying to rush me and apparently had something better to do at the time than take my order). Anyway, on a decent note, the Italian Wedding Soup was very good. I've never had it before, so I don't really have another restaurant's Wedding Soup to compare to, but I definitely enjoyed it. The chicken parm sub (that's the sandwich I ended up getting) was okay, but honestly I was pretty annoyed at this point so that may have weighed on my opinion. For the lunch special, you can get a soup, salad and half-sub for $8.95, or you can pick two of them for $6.50. Or, for $6.95, you can head over to any Sal's Italian Ristorante and get a soup or salad, half-sub, AND a slice of pizza. Seems like a better deal to me. I honestly don't see myself coming back here. Got delivery from here last night for out of town guests. A total of about $100. They brought about 2/3 of the order. When we unpacked everything and realized all the desserts we ordered and salads were missing we called them up. They said we could drive out to them and come get it. I was in the mood for calamari and salad. When looking at maps and Yelp, I had scoped out Dominic's down the street (I'm in a hotel) but they had a line. With no plan B on my mind immediately, I started looking. I ran across Stallone's and checked the menu on my phone. I went in thinking I was going to have one of their pasta dishes, but ordered a salad and had the calamari appetizer for an entree. If you need to sleep with anyone that night or speak to anyone the next day, do NOT have the complimentary rolls with garlic- get the plain. The garlic was overwhelming and hot in a spicy way- pretty raw. The house salad is a dinner size, meaning 2-3 could have it for a side salad. I wish I had seen the size of it before ordering it, or had asked if they had a small salad, But, the salad was fresh and crispy, and the creamy Italian dressing (more balsamic looking) was delicious. The calamari was delivered piping hot and very crispy. I usually ask for additional marinara, but it wasn't needed. It also came with 4 lemon wedges, which is at least double what anywhere else gives you, though also double what I needed. It was just at the cusp of more than tender with a few pieces being just a tiny bit chewy. That was fine considering the different sizes of the rings/tentacles. I don't usually eat the tentacles, but they were very good! The service was quick and thorough. I will definitely be back while I'm here for the next 2 weeks! read more

Call me biased but I worked with the Stallone family in Orlando when I was younger. Hands down they make the most authentic and tasty New York cheesecakes and cannolis. Their food is awesome to boot. We didn't sit down to eat at the Boca location but we did take some cannolis to go, devoured them in the car, and I took a small trip down memory lane to working with a family who truly cares about the food and their customers. My wife and I decided to give Stallone's a try, since it is a local establishment, but we were greatly disappointed. To start, we had some bread, 2 pieces of regular and 2 garlic pieces. The garlic pieces were cold and dripping in garlic oil. I literally squeezed it gently and garlic oil came pouring out. Not a good start. Next were the salads. Our waiter got the dressing wrong for my wife; luckily it was on the side. The lettuce only (I had 1 small tomato) salads were fresh. Unfortunately, that would be the only fresh meal of the night. I got the baked stuffed shells at $13.95. The shells were literally out of a frozen box of shells. They tatsed bland, somewhat hard and a little on the cold side. The sauce, which was very sparse, tasted and looked exatly like Ragu. Finally, the cheeese was straight out of a bag of shredded mozarella from a supermarket. So, I basically paid $14 for something which was so cheap, I wouldn't even make that for myself at home. My wife ordered the calamari mariana. I tried a piece of her calamari. It was extremely fishy, rubbery and cold. Again, I am 100% this was frozen. Her linguini looked like something out of a box of Ronzoni. She ate a few bites, but was so disgusted she couldn't eat another bite. The service was ok. The food was absolutely horrible. It was like something out of Kitchen Nightmares. If you decide to go eat here, just send me and email and I will come over your house and bring some frozen food and a jar of ragu and cook it for you and charge you $40. Because, anyone going to this place after reading this, has to be THAT stupid. read more
