It felt like she wanted me to offer to pay more, but I just said it sounds like she doesn't want to do it so I can go elsewhere and she said she would prefer that. I think turning someone away in that way was unprofessional and it made me really uncomfortable that she kept telling me how much work it is. She shouldn't offer a service she isn't willing to follow through with. It was just a very uncomfortable experience.

For anyone wondering how sugaring is different than waxing, you really ought to just try it. I have a thicker hair texture and, since switching to sugaring, I have fewer ingrown hairs and slower growth. I just saw that Stainless was reviewable!! YAY! I want to say that KHEPRI PATTISON has done my hair for over ten years (I am 28). I went away for school and it has become a joke between us because I would literally RUN to her every time I would come back home for the seasonal breaks; and please note that I am a very complicated color of blonde (since I had to get it done where I was living so it was all sorts of messed up) and I would always walk in to see her with that "tucked tailed sad puppy face" and say, "Khepri... can you fix me?" She always just smiles and cocks her head and says, "Yes, honey. Sit." LOL Calling it a "fix" is an understatement as it is more of a transformation. I really don't know how she does it. Everything she does, from how she colors, styles and cuts is far beyond my level of comprehension. I model professionally and my hair needs to look on point at all times. Not to mention, blondes are close to impossible to fix once someone messes it up. Khepri will look at my hair for literally less than a minute, go whip up color, and the end result turns out beyond perfect every time. And now that I have moved back to the area... let's just say that if she ever quit her job, I would be knocking on her door begging for her to still do my hair.... lol Bottom line- her coloring, cutting, and styling skills are second to none. I live in Cincinnati now and and can not go to Stainless anymore sadly...But if I had the time to get on a flight, I would; just to have Gabriel Gavin work her magic!!! Just to see her and hug her and thank her for teaching me how to keep my hair, my appearance and my spirit beautiful. For anyone who has written poor comments about Stainless; you do not appreciate nor do you know the history of this salon and its original owner and shame on you.!!!!! My husband and I walked by a spa at the Hilton in Cincinnati the other week and I stopped my husband, I said "Wait... Stand here for a minute. This salon has a familiar smell, it smells like Stainless where I used to get my hair done. I didn't go in, I just closed my eyes and went to another place. (162 S Rancho Santa Fe Road) I have had my hair done at salons and spas all over California, Cincinnati and even Washington DC. There will never be another salon like Stainless. Its history is very deep and it's director "Gabriel" is truly one of the most brilliant and strong women I have ever known!!!!! I am neglectful by waiting so long to write a review of my amazing hair stylist. I plead guilty ( of older age). (just got an iPhone last year...was born in the 50's!) Michelle Gonzales is the best thing that has EVER happened to my hair in 53 years. Honestly, Michelle, and the staff at Stainless is absolutely awesome. I have never been happier with the service I receive and mostly with my hair!!! Oh my goodness! I was at a wedding last Friday with mostly 30-somethings, and two gorgeous young women came up to me to ask where I had my hair styled that afternoon. I explained that I had actually had it cut beautifully 4 weeks ago by Michelle and simply styled it myself (in four minutes) before leaving for the wedding. They were incredulous! All I can say is...FABULOUS!! Tami DeSanti has been my stylist for over 15 years and I have recommended her to so many friends who all love her as well. For me, her ability to create the perfect color is remarkable. Through the years, she has adjusted and perfected my color to suit me the best. I am always complimented on my hair after Tami does it. Besides being a great person, she is a professional...who listens to her client and works very hard to help them achieve the look they want. I have been to other salons where the stylist let me tell them what I wanted and then did what they wanted instead. That is never the case with Tami. She is skilled and efficient. I get my hair cut and colored here on a regular basis. Depending on who you use, I would think your experience would vary, but I have used a few different stylists there and I am always happy. It's not necessarily the cheapest place in town but its not the most expensive either and most importantly you walk out looking good, which is the most important thing at the end of the day. read more

I first saw her for a color correction, where I had chunks of dreaded blorange color mixed in with pieces that were black. She fixed everything perfectly and exceeded all of my expectations and kept me at a pretty light blonde. Since then, she has carried me through dark hair, red hair, fun purple pieces and maintaining beautiful blonde color, especially before my wedding. She is excellent at color (especially balayage), cuts, and always stays up to date with latest hair trends and skills. She is a perfectionist and isn't satisfied until your hair looks perfect! Charles has primarily been my stylist and I am in love with everything about his atheistic and approach. Nando has done my hair a couple of times as well & he is so great. The salon is open air and friendly. Music and atmosphere are so pleasant & relaxing. The location is wonderful and all the stylists do work their clients rave about.
