I went there for the first time for a root touch up, highlights, haircut and blow out. I'm not happy with their customer service as I saw next day that my hairs are still grey from multiple places and I texted back next day and asked what can be done. She said she is busy for whole week and when she was available, I was not available. When we mutually agreed on the date and time, she asks if I need a blowout or touch up grey. I said both as I had the same service earlier. She said there will be extra charge for blowout as it is a touch up and not the redo. I said but I had already paid for the service and it was not done correctly in the first place and I should not be paying for it again. 'She said I know what you are trying to do' , is it wrong to say that service was not performed correctly and I did it then for an occasion and my grey were visible and defeated my whole purpose of doing it at that time. I should not be paying again and I had already paid for highlights also which I never received as she just did toner on my previous highlights but charged for highlights. I will never go again to this place as they make you feel as if you are doing something wrong for wanting it to be done correctly and ask for more money for the service you already paid for. I'm scared of going to this place for touch up of grey also but I have to as I don't have any other option read more

This review reflects way too many experiences pre COVID and an attempted experience during COVID. Let's state the facts: Lindsay is incredibly talented - 2 stars for her. They do not care about your time. - minus 3 stars. It's blatantly apparent there is either poor management of scheduling, they are either double booking or there's favoritism of digital influencers and friends that they "squeeze in" throughout the day which then pushes all scheduled appointments to run FAR behind. Every single appointment I've heard clients saying "thanks for squeezing me in!" As I sit there far past my appointment time. This place is worse than waiting at a Drs office. I am conscious of everyone's time hence why I schedule an appointment that were often booked out on average 2 weeks in advance here. Shame on me for continuing to go back. It never fails every single appointment I've had to wait 15-20 minutes past my appointment time. Adjustments should be made on their end. Poorly run business. read more

She understands my crazy travel schedule, and lifestyle- that I can't 'fill in' my brows, so we created a plan to grow them to a super natural shape that is perfect and complimentary to my face and lifestyle. I've been coming to Browtique for over 10 years now. Dee, the owner, is passionate about helping her clients look and feel their best- her spa is full service. I've had pretty much every treatment you can think of- hair cut and color, waxing, facials and spray tans too. At this point, I won't trust anybody else with my brows. Lindsay keeps them full, healthy and always gives me the perfect shape. She also gives THE BEST facials- get the custom facial!! Browtique also sells great product lines. The Lerosett mud mask is my fave quick fix for breakouts and rashes and it's reasonably priced too. read more

I went here to get my brow tinted, before i went i read the reviews and looked at pictures but there were not a lot of pictures. staff was friendly, really nice place. i don't remember the name of person that did my brow. it was a quick procedure to do brow tint. i honestly taught i would love my brows but brow shape did not match, look very weird. i noticed it once i left place and more when i took picture. i was glad i was able to take off. i will not be returning to this place. give it a try for me did not work out read more

Browtique is my home away from home. I have been coming here for 12 years! I originally came in because I had heard that Lindsay did the best brows around... this is 10000% true. From the first time I came in, Lindsay was so kind and gentle in nature. When I first came in my eyebrows were still suffering from the over plucking of the 2000's, Lindsay taught me how to treat my eyebrows so that they would grow out and look full. I never looked back. When I go into Browtique I get a brow wax, with a tint, the brow tint is LIFE CHANGING. The tint lasts for 2 weeks, being a natural blonde my brows are light, so the tinting helps my brows to look dark and dramatic. Since I loved my brows so much, I decided to try getting other services there. Now I have Lindsay do facial treatments on both me and my husband. When I come in Dee (the owner) greats me with such warmth, you can tell how much she genuinely cares about each client. Lindsay's facials are so relaxing and great, she starts with a derma-plane witch is by far my favorite beauty hack she taught me. After a facial with her my skin is glowing and my makeup applies so smooth. I not only love the services I have received at Browtique, but I now consider it my second home. Anastasia Soare is famous for her amazing eyebrow shaping work. She is renowned in the entertainment field in LA. Renowned. Anastasia has been profiled in so many magazines and television spots that she has honestly lost count. Her loyal clientele reads like a Hollywood Who's Who: Jennifer Lopez, Cameron Diaz, Penelope Cruz, Tyra Banks, Oprah Winfrey, most of the famous models you find in print ads today....you name 'em...their agents and stylists have sent 'em to Anastasia. The before and after photos of famous women that lines her walls is spectacular. Alexis, the star brow shaper at "Browtique", trained directly under Anastasia. She worked for Anastasia for a number of years and has recently branched off to this easy to find and surprisingly accessible Rancho Santa Fe Salon. Parking is easy and unmetered. The Salon is easy to find and offers a full menu of skin treatments. Alexis was simple to book with (not even remotely the wait you endure to see Anastasia). Her prices are affordable and she managed to kick me up a notch.....without any of the attitude I have repeatedly encountered at Anastasia's La Jolla location...or the terrible drive to L.A. read more

I found this business through Groupon and have to say that I am less than impressed with the customer service. I was quite pleased with the quality of work done by my stylist (her name was Ashley) but I will not return based on my experience with the owner, Dee. The Groupon was $49 for $125 worth of hair services. I SPECIFICALLY asked Groupon in the questions section what a cut and color would run and was informed IN WRITING that the salon combines hair cuts and single base colors for $125. For this reason, I purchased the Groupon and decided to give them a try. I first ran into push back when I tried to make my appt and the owner asked if I had a Groupon and proceeded to tell me that it was only good for a color. I informed her of the info I recieved from Groupon and she basically told me that she didn't have access to that info so she couldn't confirm. I made the appt anyway and when I showed up for my appt, I was told before I had even put my smock on that the Groupon was only good for color. Luckily I had brought the print out with me and yet she was still going back and forth with me regarding the wording of my proof. I felt like she was calling me cheap and insinuating that I was trying to cheat the system. I love the way my hair turned out but feeling like I wanted to cry through the whole experience was definately not worth it. :( I would have paid the extra money in hindsight to be treated better. We all have our little grooming quirks. Mine happens to be about eyebrows. I like them manicured and tend to be hyper-self-conscious when they are not. So it was weird when I set out on a little experiment to grow them completely out and have them shaped by a tip-top professional who specializes in the art of eyebrow shaping. After about 6 weeks of growth and feeling like Chewbaca on a bad day, I made an appointment and set out for woman-scaping. The drive into Rancho Santa Fe is calming to begin with, but then you park on a cute, little street and walk up to a cute, little salon. My esthetician, Lindsay, put me in her chair and got to grooming. The chair reclines and she can easily swivel you around to wax you without climbing on top of you. She was very gentle and even massaged the brows when she was done with the intial wax. A little tweezing and trimming, then filling in with powder where needed, plus a highlighter underneath the brow to make them stand out and I was good to go. It really was the full service treatment I was expecting. My self-esteem was restored and I am pleased that this salon lives up to the hype of being brow specialists. Bonus: this place sells Kerastase products, which happens to be my choice for hair stuff. I was able to get some shampoo and conditioner, which saves me a trip to buy it. read more

I had been going to Lindsay for a while for eyebrow waxes, but I will not return. I found the service very inconsistent...sometimes it included the massage, sometimes it didn't. Sometimes she'd consult with me about how they were growing in and sometimes she wouldn't. Sometimes she used the highlighting pencil, sometimes she wouldn't. She was nice but often seemed rushed. But the kicker was when she ripped the skin off my upper lip. She didn't apologize and I assume she was trying to pretend not to notice. When I mentioned it to Dee. she said, "next time, tell her your sensitive and she'll put cream on first." First of all, that doesn't change the fact that the skin above my lip is ripped and will be scabbed over for at least a week. Second, I believe a good esthetician always communicates with her client to avoid such mistakes. I am no waxing expert and when I sit in that chair paying $50+ for a wax, I'm expecting top notch professional service and communication. Obviously, if I had known my skin would react that way, I wouldn't have had her wax it. But no one told me that there was a different procedure for sensitive skin. That is the responsibility of the esthetician to share that information. There is nothing more aggravating than a business owner trying to blame a client for an obvious mistake made by their employee. All I wanted was an apology and someone to take some responsibility. Looking back, Dee should not have charged me for the lip wax. Fortunately, I have found a new esthetician who is careful and consistent, at a salon where the customer comes first. read more

Last week was my first experience at Browtique. I've been super hesitant to make any brow appointment, I've just had too many bad ones in the past and regrowing brows is the worst. Thankfully I had a good experience at Browtique! Their salon is a cute, small space in Rancho Santa Fe. I've never really been to this little area of town, what a gem! The girl who did my brows (sorry, I forget her name!) was really friendly and explained everything that she was doing. She said that she has been doing just brows for about 7 years, so she is definitely knowledgeable. I've never gotten an explanation this thorough before, which I really appreciated given my fear of my brows turning out disastrous! She explained the right brow shaping for my face shape and I held a mirror and watched while she waxed and filled them in. The end result was probably a bit more filled in than I would do on a daily basis, but learning to fill them in was something I enjoyed. I was hoping to buy a pencil to fill them in, but unfortunately they were out. They did let me know that I could buy the same pencil at Nordstrom, but that meant a trip to the mall which I wasn't thrilled about. Overall I'd say that I left happy. I thought that $40 seemed a bit steep for the approx. 10 minute service, but after reading about some competitors in the area this seems to be the market price. Good service and I was happy with the end product, so I would go back. read more

I have never actually had my brows professionally shaped until the other day when I went to Browtique. I usually just tweeze strays myself and get them waxed at the local Vietnamese nail salon. My experience with Lindsay was great! She has incredible attention to detail and showed me what my brows should look like b/c of my face shape. I came here for the first time a few weeks ago. I was worried this place had good reviews that were inflated by friends and owners but I was proven wrong. I made an appointment and because I don't know the Rancho Santa Fe area well I was about 5 minutes late. I was just getting brow shaping and a lip wax so it wasn't going to take long so they took me in still. I believe my brow-tician was Lindsay. She marked my eyebrows to show me how my brows should be. She did a bit of waxing and a bit of plucking. She filled it in with some shadow and then told me to refrain from plucking so that some of my uneven areas would grow in. She was super cool and I do have to say my brows look awesome. (I have been obsessed with my brows lately. It really changes up your face when they are groomed nicely.) My lip wax was so fast and then I was done. I paid up and even used the first timer coupon and the owner lady was really sweet. Now mind you I didn't get anything else done, it's definitely worth the drive from Carlsbad to Rancho. I will be back. read more

But after chatting with me, and looking at my very challenging brows, Dee told me she didn't feel I needed them done this week, and to give them another week of growth.
