Also, I'd highly recommend them to my friends and family.

He saved us hundreds and did a masterful job on the installation. He is rightfully proud of his work. At the time of our installation I asked him if he would install a handrail on our brick front stairs. He said "no problem, I can help you with that, too." He came back a week after and he did another perfect job drilling holes into the brick for a very reasonable price. I could not endorse Matt Moore more. I never did understand why anyone would put frosted glass in cabinet doors. I decided to change them for clear glass inserts. I had a hard time finding a glass shop in Jamaica Plain. So I called an auto glass shop in Hyde Park and asked if they could make two pieces of glass for cabinet doors. He asked where I lived and I answered "JP". "Call Jackson Glass," he said. I thanked him and looked for Jackson Glass which is 10 minutes from my house. I called them and asked if it was something they could do. The very nice woman who answered the phone said they could get that done in 1 to 2 days. I brought a piece of frosted glass to the shop. Their price was very reasonable. I told them it would be great if they could get it done by the next day because my painters would still be there and they would attach the glass to the cabinets for me. They finished the glass that day. They fit perfectly and the cabinets look so much better than they did before. I would recommend Jackson Glass. They were accommodating and meticulous.

We were trying to paint thinking our walls were drywall, then we realized they were plaster and that we were in over our heads. BRAUSA came in and fixed everything up beautifully, patching the plaster and making our walls smooth again. The house looks brand new with the trim work and caulking too. They got the job done (about 1000 sq foot) in less than a week which was so helpful. They also updated our electrical outlets and light switches, coincidentally fixing a doorbell that apparently hadn't worked for decades. Seriously AMAZING! I will definitely be using them again for future painting projects.

Well, the plumber and tile guy were one and the same and the day they were starting the tile, they opened up a brand new tile cutter out of the box and started reading the instructions. They used a piece of cardboard as a spacer, so as soon as it got wet, the spacing started to get funky. I also laid out a mock-up on my kitchen table of how each row of tile was to line up that they completely disregarded after the first wall was done. I came home for lunch one day and they had installed the bullnose upside down! They also used the wrong blade for the tile cutter because all the cut edges are raggedy. I'm going to have to pay someone to redo most of it one day, which will involve me replacing the expensive Italian tiles. Aside from the horrible tile work, the window casing looks like it was put together with scraps of trim and they painted everything with a roller and didn't full nail holes before doing so. They also damaged the new tub when installing the drain and damaged some tiles installing some fixtures. The drain line to the sink was installed too high, so until we can get a plumber to come in and repair it, we had to bend the metal and tape it all together temporarily just to get the drain to open and close all the way. Finally, we keep finding set screws on the floor and fixtures keep coming apart (faucet handles will come off in your hand, towel bars come loose from the wall, etc). I never pick the cheapest contractor but Luis and Antonio assured me I'd be pleased with the final product. It looks like I did it myself and I am not handy!

There were some things that hadn't been addressed in a while, including the extremely old (i.e. very drafty!) door from the house to the mudroom/enclosed porch. We got a quote from a national brand and then decided to shop around. I'm so glad we did! Chris was able to provide a quote on the mudroom door AND outside door that was less than the national company for just one door, and suggested some modifications that have made a huge difference! When it comes to the work, it was absolutely professional from start to finish. Chris was great about scheduling and we were never blindsided by unexpected costs - he was upfront the whole time and honest. The actual work itself was A+ quality. He clearly cares about his craftsmanship and it shows in the work. The doors look great and I can already tell a difference (my heating bills will too in the winter!). He and his assistant were also great about clean-up. I would recommend (and have!) Chris to everyone I know. And I definitely plan to have him back for other projects.

It was a small project and we had had a difficult time finding someone to take it on. We were incredibly lucky to find Christopher at just the right time. His communication was excellent, and he was very straightforward about the whole process. He let us know exactly what he was going to do and checked in throughout the work to be sure it was what we wanted. He's a trustworthy guy, as well as just a very nice person to work with. We couldn't be happier about the work - he did a fast, thorough, and phenomenal job, and was kind enough to offer us advice and pointers on the painting (still upcoming!) that would need to be done after the construction. I strongly recommend Christopher - you won't be disappointed.
