I added a few nights of leisure to my business travel to enjoy the warm weather. Was looking for an evening activity and started searching for live music. I stumbled upon Stage 954 at the Casibo at Dania Beach and signed up for their emails. They have many tribute bands- Rumours ATL looked great. They were excellent. I grabbed a quick bite of food before going into the venue. It was pretty basic-a bunch of folding chairs, a bar and restrooms. It was a late arriving crowd- apparently it's the norm to start 15-20 mins late. The sound was good and the crowd was friendly. Pro - I enjoy going to shows here, lots of classic rock original & tribute bands. Plenty of free parking, small venue, all seats are decent. Pricing is reasonably. Cons - Saw the original voice of Foreigner the incredible Lou Gramm & another concert AC/DC tribute band called " Noise Pollution" Each time the audio mixing is way off with the audience complaining even the band telling the in-house AV guys to fix & they are 5 songs to slow to respond. Get audio and lighting crew that know the music and turn up the lead singers vocals and each guitar solos & can utilize the lighting rhythmically. Then hundreds of patrons and bands could have a better experience, then be diminishing by 3 people operating the in-house equipment. Guardian Security are not a substitute for helpful & polite ushers. Security guards were Rude, pushing people out of the venue immediately after the show, please allow your guest to do meet & greet with the band and utilize the restroom read more

I caught a couple of shows at Stage 954, which is located at the Casino in Dania Beach. Man, this place is a gem if you're a rock fan. It's a smallish venue, maybe 500-600 seats, so it feels super intimate, like you're right up close with the band. From their upcoming events page it looks like they mostly have cover bands, but they do get a number of national acts coming through. I saw LA Guns and Ace Frehley and both shows were absolutely killer. The sound was great, the vibe was raw and the best part is, you're not fighting amphitheater or arena crowds and parking to have a good time. Tickets were a steal, I think I paid $60 for Ace and $45 for LA Guns which is totally amazing for where I was sitting (8th and 3rd row respectively). Parking is free and a breeze as there's a huge light right outside the casino doors. And bonus, after the show you can play some slots, have a drink or try some of their food options, though to be honest, they didn't look that amazing. I'll definitely be back here, they just need to book more 80s and 90s bands! read more

We have attended a couple of cover band concerts here and more recently Jefferson Starship. It's an intimate venue with table seating, floor seating and bleacher seating. There's also a VIP Lounge. Table seating seats 4 ppl and is $60 pp but you have to reserve the whole table. There is no "bad seat" in the house here unless you have someone sitting in front of you who decides they want to stand up during the concert, lol. Parking is plentiful but keep in mind that if there's a downpour and it's been raining heavily for a long while, the parking lot will flood. I've seen it look like a lake. You can get some snacks or drinks at the concession stand in Stage 954 or, if you get there early enough, you can grab some Italian food at Pizzelato or a buffet dinner at Luxe, both located on the second floor. I remember this casino back from when it was just Dania Jai-Alai; in fact I had my high school graduation there in the 80's. Well several years ago they became The Casino@Dania Beach and completely revamped the inside & outside; and part of the new casino houses a great, intimate venue for music and concerts called Stage 954. I know they have been hosting events there for quite a few years; but we didn't make it to one until going to see The Boss Project, (Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band cover band,) in July of 2021. The venue is upstairs from the main part of the casino and they have the traditional ticket sales online and a security checkpoint to enter. There are several small round tables set up close to the stage in a small partitioned off section that actually has table service. (For our event it was $50pp.). Behind that area were rows of folding chairs in 3 sections. The seats were sold in groups of 2 or 4 due to social distancing, and the unavailable chairs were taped closed. These seats sold for $20-$25pp. The aisles and the seats were very easily identified by letter/numbers. We were in Row O and had a great view of the stage. (This was partly due to the social distancing, because seats were staggered so the 2 seats directly in front of us and directly behind us were vacant.). Behind the floor seats there was a small section of bleachers. The sound quality was outstanding! We really enjoyed the show and everything went smoothly. There was no valet parking when we visited, (not sure if that was due to Covid or it not being jai alai season,) but we self parked for free right on the west side of the casino. There is a small bar in the back of Stage 954 that has a few snacks available in addition to drinks. I had a beer, which was fine; but my husband ordered a whiskey & Diet Coke snd he said it was terrible.....the worst tasting whiskey he'd ever had! I think you can also bring drinks in from other bars in the casino. Overall this was a nice place to see a show; easy to get to & park and great sound. There seem to be many shows scheduled for the next few months; mostly cover bands, but for $20-25 and free parking, it's not a bad deal! Plus you can always finish off your evening downstairs in the casino & maybe win back your concert spendings if you're lucky! read more

I wish I could give 5 stars for intimate venue, it is definitely intimate to the point you are sitting in the person next to you lap. The seats are way too close together. I've been there twice and each time I had the pleasure of sitting next to a large person, not obese just large shoulders and manspreading which is great if you are with that person otherwise you are stuck all night sitting with your shoulders scrunched and legs together otherwise you're rubbing this stranger's leg. The sound system is awesome. The other draw back is the floor seats are not staggered so if you have the person in front of you either tall or sticking their phone in the air to record, your view is completely blocked. Love the venue, love the ease of parking, love the sound and stage. All deserve 5 stars, the seating I've give it a 3. read more

This is definitely a smaller stage compared to what we are use to in South Florida. All the rows are on the same floor level. This is very initiate stage located inside the New renovation Dania Casino. We went to watch a comedy show. They had ample friendly workers helping you to your seat. Nothing too extravagant. Definitely nice for a smaller more intimate setting. read more

overall i had a good experience and would certainly come here again.. security was easy and friendly, and so were the bartenders (slash counter-service food people).. the drinks were cheap!! $7 bucks for a vodka soda?? out at a club/show?? how incredibly reasonable!! (don't get mad at me if they have a sliding scale and maybe change drink prices depending on the event.. hope not cuz that's lamesauce..) it was a seated show and i'm not sure why.. it's a perfect general admission kind of space.. mostly i tend to hang out on the sides or in back for GA, but i like to have the option of diving into the rush of dancy, sweaty bodies who are all there to share in the same good time.. tonight would have been one of those dive in kind of nights.. filling the floor with folding chairs is kind of a bummer.. seems a lot of cover/tribute bands play here.. i went to see Strangelove - The Depeche Mode Experience.. the performance was fantastic; the sound was ok.. fair warning: this is gonna get a bit diatribey.. as a house sound guy i know there are several possible contributing factors here.. it was the house PA (i did not geek out and see what it was cuz i wasn't working and sometimes you just wanna enjoy a thing) and likely the house sound console, but it could have been the band's engineer or the house sound person.. my money's on house person (if they were the band's engineer they should probably get a new one) cuz it didn't feel like they really knew the band.. also, they didn't use a scratch of verb or delay, so the whole thing sounded small.. DM is an arena/stadium band and they could have been made to sound that way in that space.. that was the biggest let-down and it's important cuz if that's the person mixing most of the shows they really need to learn how to use foundational effects.. /endrant.. but like i said, overall good experience and would do it again.. read more

Saw a show last night, the tickets were reasonably priced, the sound was excellent and it was a small intimate venue. Now for the negative the seats are padded folding chairs that are attached to the other chairs on either side. It's all good until someone overweight plops down next to you. I don't like having a stranger's leg and arm touching mine all night. Also eat before you come in the room as they only sell chips with oily cheese and popcorn. read more

Went to 954 for a comedy show, not a cheap comedy show either. It is definitely not a room designed for a Comedy Club. First of all the floor is the same height throughout the room, except very far in back there are elevated bleacher style seats. The chairs are small, hardly padded, metal folding chairs, lashed together to form the rows. These chairs are not meant to be so tight together. I knew the people on both sides of me so hanging over on them was not an issue, but if you were next to a stranger, it could be an issue. The seats are not staggered so there is a head or two blocking your sight line. I am 6 foot tall, the person two rows up was 6 ft 2 or 3, so the fact that the floor is not angled, like a movie theater, and that the rows and chair are so tight, I could barely see the person on stage. My friend"s, 5 ft 2 wife saw nothing of the show. We were in the 8 th row, center, usually prime seats for a comedy club. In addition, no video screen showing the performer. Very uncomfortable seats, poor design for a comedy viewing room. Many interruptions with people leaving their seat for the bathroom or a beer, causing everyone to stand to let them out and back in. Plus the loud band on the main floor could be heard clearly every time the double doors opened. Very distracting for the people on stage, and it was obvious. Would it be good for a concert ? At least you can stand during a concert and see. One good thing. The sound was very good. There was no problem hearing the show. Will I return, NO. read more
