Stadium Mall has a bunch of great places, especially the Ice Palace! They also host Habilitat Christmas Trees during the Christmas season. Buuuutt, the parking here is horrendous, at all times of the day. It's very tiny, and such a small number of stalls in comparison to the number of businesses here. There's also street parking outside the main lot entrance, but it's mostly residential. So plan to come here early if you need to be here because it may take a while to find parking. read more

Not sure of the low ratings but this shopping area located right beside the Aloha Stadium is at an interesting location right along side some residential area beneath the freeway on a busy intersection which makes getting here interesting as if you know you know kinda entrances though once you're here as Ice Palace may be the more famous or popular place that many frequent there are many places to eat from Pho to Taco Bell along with some services like gas, nail salon, and so much more are found here as well. There are lots of parking available that even on a slow night can fill up easily but with a bit of walking it's usually not difficult to find a stall as it was exactly what I had to do tonight as well. Not my favorite or place to frequent but I was in the area and needed to drop off some donation and found the Salvation Army bin on a Yelp search which is convenient and helpful as well. Stadium Malts, Jack In the Box and Ice Palace skating ring is still there. a couple of real estate companies; a cool Moanalua Pet store; a hair and nail salon; a legit Thai massage parlor; Goodyear, Subway. There used to be a bookstore here, Brandy's bar, a old Thai massage parlor shop and a Godfather's Pizza place. the last time that I've been here was in the 1980's. Expect a long line. When you get to the tent, they will ask if you want rapid test, 1-2 hour result or thorough test, 2-3 days result. The unproffessionalism and rudness showed by the night watch security guard at stadium mall on the night of 07/21/24 is shocking and distasteful to say the least. I was eating my jack in the box food on the jack in the box table outside of jack in the box when the security guard told me "jack in the box closed you go home". I could barely hear him as he stopped in the middle of the parking lot and refused to get off his cart, I even held up my burger to show him what i was doing. This was a mere 10 minutes after they closed the instore dining section. He then proceeded to harass another patron in the parking lot who had just parked. The patron even stated "I just ordered my food and pulled over". Interestingly enough he said nothing to the group of car people in the corner of the parking lot as they were just standing around and talking story as I left the parking lot I could see him in the back of ice palace. His inability to read situations and handle minor infractions are deplorable at best. Is this a sensible enough review for you to accept? Yelp 365 Challenge #72/365 Anyone want to host a Yelp party at Ice Palace? Mode of costume is mid to late 80's fashion. Music will strictly be from that era as long as no one dances like Will Farrell in "Blades of Glory" Why do I suggest that? Because Ice Palace has been here THAT long and this mall is slowly disintegrating because it is just not appealing anymore. Even the used bookstore has folded up and gone their merry way too. There is a scattering of eats and other type of shops such as hairstyling...er...and other things that I can't think of because it is just so "still and quiet" when you drive into the parking lot. It's really sad... Home of Ice Palace, the most well known place in this mall. I'm not sure why it's called a mall, maybe because it's a strip mall? There are a lot of random places here... a pet store, Good Year, State Farm Insurance, Taco Bell, Jack in the Box. Some of the newer places are a Thai massage place, Stadium Pho, Stadium Camellia, and a Jamba Juice. Why only two stars? Well one thing is parking is always ridiculous here. It's always hard to find a parking stall. Second, this parking lot is notorious for having potholes. And lastly this place has some of the worst drivers, all in one lot. People do not signal, look when they pull out of a stall or turn, don't stop, etc. I'm glad new businesses are coming in but I hope something changes with the potholes and parking situation. Why do I even come here? Swap Meet every Wednesday, Saturdays & Sundays from 6am to 3pm. Vendors arrive at 4:30am and must be out of by 5pm. They have ANYTHING & EVERYTHING FOR & FROM HAWAII. Best place to purchase souvenirs or gifts for family & friends from Hawaii. Prices are very reasonable. There are SOME VENDORS who take advantage of the tourists. But, if you are willing to and LOVE TO BARGAIN, they'll do that too. Most of them would. Some of them wont budge. And those are the ones who you DONT BUY FROM!! LOL!! Besides, there are maybe 2-4 OTHER TENTS/VENDORS that sells the SAME THING @ a more affordable price. Half of them are relatives or partnered in under another business name. SMART. A lot of the vendors aren't Hawaiian, but they do sell a lot of Hawaii LOOK A LIKE items & are very cheap. Most of their items are MADE IN CHINA, TAIWAN, JAPAN OR PHILIPPINES. So, don't let them fool you into thinking it's authentic items FROM HAWAII. Basically all you did was PURCHASE IT IN HAWAII, but it's NOT ACTUALLY MADE IN HAWAII. Hawaii made or not, I STILL BUY IT. However, there are a few LOCAL MADE PRODUCTS. Most are handmade items and those are the ones that are VERY PRICEY. Only because majority are all done by hand. For me, I feel it's worth it too. If it's an item you REALLY WANT or REALLY RARE to get, then BUY IT!!! Other than that, the swap meet is a very popular & a great place to shop for Hawaii based items. AND YES!! THEY ARE CHEAPER THAN MOST STORES THAT SELLS THE SAME ITEMS & BEST PART IS... IF YOU PAY CASH AT THE SWAP MEET, NO TAX!! HAHAHA!! This is where we have our UH FOOTBALL games too. The field isn't too great tho. They were suppose to be under construction or something. I'm not too sure. We also have our STATE FAIR here. It's NOT actually IN THE STADIUM... but it is ON the parking lot grounds. It's usually held with or during graduation season and runs through the month of June. The fair is ONLY on the weekends during that period. That's why it's so long. They also host car events or shows. Drifting is another event they have. They did a few RUNS too. Like those bubble run events, 5k march of dimes walk-a-thon, and other walk/run events. OH!! The biggest event they host is... THE GREAT ALOHA RUN. Which is ALWAYS on PRESIDENTS DAY. There's thousands of people who participates. They start at ALOHA TOWER & FINISHES AT ALOHA STADIUM. It's one of the most celebrated events in Honolulu. There are groups by the hundreds and individuals, as well as smaller family/friend or company groups who participates. OH YES!!! Speaking of THE GREAT ALOHA RUN... THERE ARE ROAD CLOSURES!!! There is no security contact number for this mall so if there's trouble you will not be able to reach anyone. They have designated pick up parking stalls for some of the food places however security does not reinforce it so why have them? Basically you can park anywhere because no one cares. I don't understand how a mall such as this operates which is probably why all the stores are closing down. This is a very bad place for your business and for customers looking to park and pick up food. You should not bother to waste your time here, there are many other malls with good parking and security enforcement. read more

This place really needs to upgrade the parking lots, the businesses are really in need of remodeling. Everything is centered around the Ice Palace which is great, but they really need to get rid of the taco bell/jack in the box locations there. It makes things really congested when driving in. Also, do not park in the furthest part of the parking mall, I believe there is some shady stuff going down there. Will not go into detail what I saw the other day when I had to park there, but just know you have been warned! I only come here to eat at Pho Stadium...which I believe needs to buy out the nextdoor empty space and expand, these people have a very successful business...so much so that they should either move, or expand. Stadium Mall has to be one of the oddest malls in Hawaii. And quite honestly I don't know if it event deserves the status of being called a "Mall". It's more of a "Center" or a "Cauldron of odd businesses shelved together." It's right down the hill from where I grew up so I know it well! Everyone knows of Stadium Mall because of it's most famous tenant - the Ice Palace. Every kid who has grown up in Hawaii has come here for a birthday party or yellow school bus by the time they are 7. Pretty much the only reasons to go to Stadium Mall are the Ice Palace and Moanalua Pets. Other than that, the "mall" is pretty much just as odd mishmash of businesses and restaurants ranging from plate lunches to fast food. This is not a safe place to leave your teens unsupervised. I used to think that it was a great place for my kids to hangout at Ice Palace and then grab something to eat at Jack in the Box or Taco Bell. On Jan 18, 2020 my daughter and her friends were harrassed by delinquent kids at Jack in the Box then was followed into Taco Bell and was beaten up. My daughter ended up with a concussion. Again, on March 3, 2020 a group of delinquent kids harrassed and beat up another group of students. I am pretty sure there are more incidents. So my daughter and her friends from around the island will no longer frequent Ice Palace. read more

Stadium Mall is aight. The only really good thing here is Ice Palace and that's about it. There's a gas station but there's also one down the road too by KMart. There is also some fast food joints with Jack in the Box and Pizza Hut/Taco Bell. There's some other small businesses surrounding such as an embroidery shop, a mart, Pet store, Book store, Subway, etc. The parking here can be super tight if you come on a busy day or what not. Usually that means Ice Palace is hecka poppin'. The mall is pretty interesting to me because it doesn't really look like a legit mall the way how it is set up and everything. It's pretty much almost right under a freeway and that makes it look like just some groups of stores and shops right by Salt Lake Blvd. You can go from either Salt Lake Blvd. side or the other side on Kahuapaani. It's right next to the Aloha Stadium and by the other shopping area. I would say that side is better. Nonetheless, it's always good times at this place with the Ice Palace. The shops and ice palace are pretty much full during 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. it's a little hard to find parking just takes a little time but the shops that are in there are quite a few like Jack in the Box , subway, Jamba Juice, Brandis ect. it's clean I never see any trouble so it's a pretty decent place to go with your family. read more

We go here for the Ice Palace. OK, I've been there for the Jack-in-the-Box as well, but the Ice Palace is the reason the mall is still open. If you want to ice skate, come here. It's cheaper than going to Rockefeller Center, which would involve a long, pricey plane flight, hotels, and all of that. Parking can get tight at times. read more

I had the worst experience at this subway. I'm a regular subway customer and been to this establishment on multiple occasions. Yes it is subway and you don't expect any customer service but at the same time you wouldn't expect bad service either. Just order your sub the way you like it and pay for it. Plain and simple. But tonight was so bad that as soon as I came home, I had to get this frustration out and heard. I went to get a sub for my late dinner @ 8:40pm. I did feel bad going in knowing they close at 9pm. Soon as we walk-in the sandwich artist the name of Crystal. No greeting but its okay didn't really expect one anyway, she asked us " what do you guys want" in an unfriendly manner. I guess she was busy cleaning up and getting ready to shut down since there were no cutting board on the sandwich table (Very unsanitary by the way). As she makes my sandwich on the paper she pretty much roughly tosses the vegetable ingredients. when I asked for more vegetable she got more rough making the sandwich. asked for mayo and she doused it over everything till the point when she tried to fold the sandwich, the mayo gushed out everywhere. Sure enough her gloves were covered in mayo but with no consideration she continued to warp causing the mayo all over the wrapping paper and the bread. There were no other way to take all of this in without thinking she was telling me don't ever come in towards closing. Its crazy how one person can really ruin your day. She should not be working there nor any service industries. She needs to understand that every job out there is for people. This economy runs on people. As long as she is working there I would never visit this subway again. I'm reaching out to the owner of this location to really think about who runs your establishment and teach your employees to do the right thing! read more

We love subway. We eat here almost every week. But at this particular location they have a horrible sense of customer service. Two employees and no service. Apparently putting ice in the soda machine is more important. So we went to Jack in the Box across from it. Much better service. If it wasnt for our love for subway I would have given them only one star. read more
