Not only are my favorite stores here but, they always have fun family friendly events! Since they have a big open grassy field, they're able to have outdoor events here. One of our favorite events is Touch a Truck where all types of construction and service vehicles meet at one place. Kids can touch and go onto all types of vehicles such as excavators, fire trucks, police vehicles, and much more! Overall, I absolutely love coming here! There's also a movie theater, tons of takeout and dine in options and for dessert, Crumbl! read more

1. Securitas security guard Hawaiian lady whom which is very lazy and only sit on the golf cart. 2. She tells me I can't eat in the parking lot. 3. Lies to me making false statements, saying marked automobile parking spaces are receiving area where it is not and not next to nor behind any of the stores. 4. She lies to me saying there is a park next to here to eat. 5. She won't let me eat here. Therefore I will tell the food establishments i will not be buying anymore food from them. 6. She lets her friends do automobile repairs in the parking lot but i can not eat there. 7. She tells me it is private property. 8. Well since it is, ill take my money elsewhere to spend! 9. It's as if they take read my mind to include some of my faves and more I didn't know I needed in my life as well all here in Kapolei. I would seriously come in from town to here for shopping and eat because there is so much to offer including a Down to Earth, Inspiration Furniture, even Regal Theaters. Parking is never a problem here in fact it's laid out like an Outlet store style as each are individual buildings on like a mega mall so I do find myself driving from one to another not wanting to walk in the blazing sun. There are much more food places to choose from, plus get car parts at Auto Zone, pick up beauty supplies at Ulta and get your hair supplies at Sally's. Kapolei Commons. Not the most well-designed - dead ends and dead grass lots - somewhat disappointing. What isn't disappointing are the number of different eateries available on the grounds. From Dunkin Donuts to La Tour Cafe; Subway to Mad Bene; Young's Fiah Market a stone's throw from Denny's. Grocery shopping is available at Target and Down to Earth...and both areas are usually bustling with activity. Lots of parking with good sized stalls, but don't park in the back or side lots next to TJ Maxx...you will garner the attention of security. And those speed bumps stretching from Ross' to Down to Earth are hella annoying. read more

I haven't been here in about two years and this place looks so different. I've always felt that there wasn't much for me at this mall. However, they opened up a new section with Ulta and Marshalls. Ulta is the reason why I came out this way. I usually go to the one in Pearl City, but they were out of the item I was looking for. The first thing that caught my eye as we were driving in was Dunkin' Donuts. I love me some of their donuts and chillers. Then, I saw Young's Fish Market and Ruby Tuesday. The most convenient place for shopping on the west side! There's a TjMaxx, Marshal's, Target, AND a Ross. All in one place! Costco and Home Depot are also located across the street. I can easily go from one store to the next without having to drive far. There's also a ton of parking, so I never have to fight for a stall. They also have some restaurants that I love like Mad Bene, DB grill, and Paniolo's. Would it be weird to say that I could stay here for hours? But it's so true. Looking for random things to buy is always fun and I know, it's unnecessary but when you're looking for cute/cheap kitchenware and clothes, you really can't help yourself . read more

The focal point to local food, shopping, beauty and salon, and other services. Are all stores walkable? Mmmm yes, but I wouldn't want to walk it. Plus it can get scorching down this side. The movies section has a few restaurants that I have yet to try. So far I have only eaten at the Eating House at this location. The Grill is next on our list. Across the lot is TJ Maxx, Target, smaller stores, and Ross. On the opposite side of the movies is Dunkin Donut's, Down to Earth, Marshall's, Ulta, and so much more. I recommend you check it out if you're ever in the shopping mood. You can find all your necessities at Target, shop some, get your nails done, watch a movie, and eat lunch/dinner all in one vicinity! The only downside as of right now is that there is one main street entrance and exit at one stoplight. Several mini entrances to get into Kapolei Commons after that, but the traffic can be troublesome during times, especially Christmas. I have never seen the parking lot fully packed until my recent visit. Each store and department store all share a huge parking lot but since each store is spread out and opening one after the other, it's just occupied all over. read more

1/15/22 American Underdog-Haven't been here for awhile, pre Covid, and boy was I surprised. The movie itself was pretty good. No complaints. The problem is with the seating. When kapolei commons first got reclining chairs and a food tray, this was the place to watch movies; not now. The seats are very worn an in need of repair. Clearly since this was the first theater to have reclining chairs, it is now past due for reupholstering. Many, approximately 90-95% of the chairs are frayed and peeling. It's so bad that pieces of the vinyl ends up on your clothes and even on the try. This is bad especially in trying to keep the chairs cleaned and sanitized. I understand that theaters are struggling to fill the seats but with all their millions that were made prior to Covid it's time to pay up with improvements. read more

Awesome area with awesome stores and restaurant options. Lots of space for parking. Very convenient, right off the freeway. Just a bit of a challenge getting out. Lots of traffic builds up going into Waianae. If you're heading toward town, best to take the on ramp by Zippys. Public bathrooms available near Massage Envy or other side by the Regal Theaters. Shopping wise there's Ross, TJ Maxx, Target. Organic, vegetarian grocery shopping would be Down To Earth. Entertainment would be Regal. And lots of eateries like Ramen Ya, Subway, DB Grill, La Tour, Aloha Salads, The Eating House, Gyukaku, etc... I definitely recommend taking a visit especially if you're on the west side. I remember when I was in high school, ( a very LONG time ago) I remember watching the news re: the plans/ development at Kapolei, which is the second city. Kapolei is the second city. Wow!! At that time, in high school, I just couldn't wait for the second city & now 2016, its here!! If I had a choice to move, I would pack up my stuff and move here, to Kapolei. I always enjoy hanging out on this side, wether it is to eat breakfast, have lunch, shop, shop, or shop or shop!! I do look forward to my staycations out in Ko'olina- which is another reason for Kapolei Commons!! Kapolei Commons is my favorite shopping complex. Kapolei Commons is huge & there is still room for more future shops!! Parking -you don't have to worry!! There are lots of parking, I never had a problem with finding a stall. The only worry I have is where to park? There is something for everyone here, ex. if your other half, son, daughter, doesn't want to go with you to Target, they can always split up and meet up with you after. I do my shopping at Target- ( usually need 2 + hours) while my other half, son, daughter will go shop at Sports Authority or Ross then they will head back to hang out at Starbucks @ Target, while I continue my shopping. Literally, as good as it gets here in west Oahu! Anchoring tenants at Kapolei Commons is Target, Sports Authority, TJ Maxx, Ross, Bank of Hawaii, Ruby Tuesday, Denny's, Kua'aina Burger, Down to Earth, Ruby Tuesdays, Pier 1 Imports, Massage Envy, Gengki Sushi and a few other smaller shops to boot. Coming soon will be a movie theatre that will most probably shut down the Kapolei Theatre. No qualms about parking as it is good and plentiful. Unlike some shopping centers in town and out-skirting cities, parking is spacious and not a maze of uncertainty. The place still has space to grow a few more tenants but as of today, the Commons is the place to shop for west Oahu-ers. West Oahu could stand to get better restaurants and variety when it comes to dining but I'm sure with the upcoming Ka Makana Mall those needs will be fulfilled. read more

I just keep coming back for more. I can't get enough of the reclining chairs. They're comfortable, and irresistible. They are a must! When you've spent the entire day on your feet, it's nice to sit back, relax, and recline. There's no other way to enjoy a movie. As for the food, it was ok. They had a variety of things to choose from, which was kind of nice, especially when you want more than just a popcorn and a drink. So far, I liked the bacon burger with waffle fries, the onion rings, the popcorn, and the coke icee (all I've tried so far). I expected a little more from the kim chee burger, but it turned out to be meh okay (bun got soggy after a while). Other than that, I've enjoyed all the times that I've been here. My favorite theater at the moment. Never encountered any bad customer service when coming here. Lots of parking and location is very convenient. Around the theater, there are a few restaurants (La tour, gyu kaku, DB grill, Eating House, BIC tacos) by and across the parking lot is target, aloha salads, office max, petco, menchies, and so much more. Although I like ordering hotdogs, popcorn, and a drink before watching a movie, I also love their loaded fries (with extra cheese). While watching a movie, you have the luxury of reclining your chair. Bathrooms are clean, and well maintained. read more

It consists of lighted pathways, which change colors as you step on them. My grandson was delighted and so was I! Kapolei Common's make me never want to go to another movie theater again! It was such a fantastic movie-watching experience. I reserved tickets via Fandago about a week in advance. You are able to make your seat reservation in advance, the way that you are able to select your seats on an airplane, for example. I was so happy to have my seats reserved in advance, because I was running late that day, and I was relieved to know that I would still have my seats waiting for me when I arrived. Speaking of the seats...they are nice and large!!! There are buttons on the right-hand side where you can lower the back of your seat and prop up the footrest. It was pure luxury! Also, their food/drinks are incredibly large. I had a large icee and popcorn, and believe me, those things could have fed an entire family and then some! Pros: -Reserve seats in advance -Large, comfortable seats -Great leg room to get by through the aisle, even when people are completely lying down -Huge portions at their concession stand Cons: -The employees that helped me at the concession stand were really unprofessional. They were fooling around with one another and refilled someone's drink while I was in the middle of my order, like it was no big deal. Kapolei commons is getting better and better. I remember the time there weren't much around. The addition of TJ Maxx was a huge plus for me. They also added a nice movie theatre and some cool restaurants, which we needed badly living in Kapolei. The parking situation is getting worse and worse, as expected. Target and TJ maxx side was my favorite spot to park, as theren't many cars but now with the movie theatre and restaurants, that't not the case anymore. They really need to figure out how they would improve the parking, roads and traffic. I can't wait for more new stores to open! read more

Easy six hours spent here, as there are many places like ROSS (just this place alone is like over an hour of shopping), Target (another hour spent+), TJMaxx, Down to Earth (for all of your good eating needs), Petco, Cookies Clothing and a ton more places to shop at. Then of course there are movies to be watched at the Regal Kapolei Commons 12. A little pricey but SO worth it. Tons of food places here to satisfy your urgent cravings whether it is a salad at Aloha Salad, awesome burgers at Kua Aina (and I am the biggest burger fan!), Genki Sushi, Denny's for breakfast all day, Subway, La Tour Café of course for MACARONS which are SO GOOD and a lot more food options! Yelp 365 Challenge #80/365 Whoever started the rumor that there will be an Olive Garden Restaurant at Kapolei Commons should be sentenced to wearing the Lil' Caesar's costume and stand on the side of the road on a beautiful sunny day with no clouds between the hours of 10:00am-3:00pm (Seriously! I was one who got so excited on hearing that--I posted it to Facebook). Here I am thinking that Kapolei Commons Shopping Center was really building to become a bee-yooo-tee-fuuuulll center that makes you think you are in the mainland when you are driving across the intersection to their parking lot. HOWEVER, I am not sure if because it is still building in its building phase with the adding of new stores but the parking lot is weird. Really weird. It is almost giving me a panicky feeling that this is the same people that built Waikele Shopping Center's parking lot because it will be so difficult to get out of that parking lot. I can see it now, as the shopping center becomes complete with stores and banking---the traffic will become so congested to get out of there that cars will be backed up at the intersection. Thus, looking like the Kapolei Shopping Center at the beginning of this town that is being called "The 2nd Honolulu" My thoughts--I like this shopping center (except the parking lot) but given the location that is more near the...very local side of Hawaii..I am waiting for it to become run-down and be part of the shopping centers of yester-years in Hawaii. Currently, the following stores is: Down-to-Earth: Get your health on Price Busters: Get your cheap on Genki Sushi: Inari Sushi! Our first venture out to Kapolei Commons was great. We were able to purchase our movie tickets in advance and choose our seats too! Unfortunately, the movie we wanted to see was sold out, but we were able to get tickets for all of us (6 of us) for another movie. The lines are long for the concession and they are a little long for checking in, delayed by electronic devices not working properly to scan those that purchased their tickets online...but we got through OK and found our seats and settled in. Most enjoyable movie experience with the comfortable reclining chairs with tables for our snacks. Felt like home, but with a larger screen and better surround sound! Woo hoo! read more

What a treat! This new theater is modern, beautiful, and extremely comfy! We went to watch Jungle Book on Monday night. Yes, it was crowded due to it being new and different but we bought our tickets online and were given a free drink and popcorn with our online purchase! Totally awesome considering theater prices. Unlike, other theaters here on O'ahu they have a lot more of a food menu to choose from. I got a bacon cheese burger and waffle fries for around $8. The burger was extremely dry and my fries were cold. I'm guessing the reason it took 45 minutes to receive our order is bc of the large crowd. This is the only reason I couldn't give 5 stars. The theater seating is better then my Lazy Boy recliner. They're automatic and recline almost completely back. When you purchase your ticket you are given an assigned seat. I thought this was a great idea considering the amount of people. At least we knew no matter what time we got to our screening we wouldn't have to stress finding a seat together. Especially bc there were 7 of us that went. Honestly, now that I've experienced the Commons I don't want to go to any other theater here. Thank you Hawaii for finally getting with it read more

Today was my first time going to the theaters. I love it. The reclining chairs and little swivel tables made it feel like home! I wish i had known that these theaters would be freezing though! Definitely bring a jacket and wear shoes cause my feet were frozen by the end of our 2 hr movie! Their chicken tenders and french fries were delicious. Bonus! Their popcorn is nice and salty so there is really no need to salt your popcorn! The only downside is that their concession stand is kinda small, and it runs perpendicular to the ticket lines! It's a little crowded in that tiny space. But they were very quick to make the chicken tenders unlike some other theaters I've been to! I would say absolutely buy your ticket ahead of time and use the kiosk to print your tickets. But, all in all it's a nice theater and i definitely will come back! read more

I noticed that there is a Hickam Credit Union ATM located near the restrooms. At Kapolei Commons a person will find: Down to Earth -- health fanatics can shop here for their goods. Ramen - Ya -- Sapporo Ramen noodles are used here Verizon Wireless -- cellphone provider Coldwell Banker -- real estate agents. Pier 1 Imports -- home decorations from pillows, silverware, picture frames, and even animal statues. Petco -- everything pet related from clothing, food, and accessories. You can also purchase a rabbit, guinea pig, parakeets, mice, turtles, fishes, or adopt a cat. Office Max -- office supplies for school, home, or work. Computers, printers, cellphone cases for iPhone, and daily planners. Ross Dress for Less -- clothing store for kids, women and men. Kapolei Commons is my chosen theater to go to. I live in Aiea and would take the drive to this location verses other theaters closer to home. In my opinion the seats at this location is way more comfortable than Olino. The seats recline back more and feels bigger. It's never really busy and I love that they have a rewards card. We often watch movies and get free movie tickets, popcorn, soda and discounts with our rewards card. I guess we come to regal more because we use our rewards card at regal more than at consolidated.
