Went there Friday, July 19th for my birthday with my parents. We had to take a number as all the tables were full but we were first on the list. We were a party of 3. They seated at least three parties of 5 before us. And then took 2 parties of 3 before us. When we went up to say something, they said they were just about ready to seat us. Needless to say, we said no thank you, we would take our business elsewhere but here are my observations as we waited. ( I am a former restaurant and bar manager). The hostess were standing eating crackers while talking to the bus people who were holding the bus tubs. In the lobby???? Very unprofessional. The manager was doing the majority of the seating and he should not have been in the front of the house. He looked filthy and running around like he didn't have a clue. This place always smells so good outside. There were 7 women in our party and we were all happy. The plates were cleaned and we really enjoyed the food we ordered as well as what the others in our group ordered. We went on Monday night to try the AYCE fish, was told it was catfish and it didn't appeal to us, but 3 tried it and it was some of the best fish we have ever had! The breading on the fish was so good, the fish was large about the length of the plate, white and flaky. The wait staff was really on the ball and friendly. Can't wait to go back. The only reason I am even giving this place one star is because we had a wonderful server. The food on the other hand was NOT good. I had the hamburger horse shoe and the burger was dry and tasteless, just a few pieces of shredded cheese on the top. The cheese quality was so poor it didn't even melt. This is a fantastic bar and grill. The portions are huge. You get two full wraps and they're cheaper than single wraps elsewhere. It's definitely a must visit if in the area. I've only had their chicken caesar wraps so I can't comment on anything else but I can say that the wrap I had was stupendous on both occasions I had it. There's no way you'll leave here hungry if you opt for the double wrap options but there are single size options available if you are looking for a lighter dish. Both times I've been here the staff was fast and friendly. This is the pinnacle of what other sports bars should aspire to be like. read more

We were in town for a couple of days to see a show in Sullivan. It just so happened to be 4th of July weekend. After calling around to a few places found that The Stadium Grill was one of a few that would be open for dinner. After comparing menus and reviews, I thought the this would be the safest bet. I went in with low expectations as the menu seems to be typical sports bar food. Wow, was I surprised! We first ordered a couple of beers and the pepper jack cheese balls. Definitely do this and ask for marinara sauce with them. While we were waiting for our daughter to arrive, the server accidentally dribbled a few drops of beer onto the cheese balls and immediately offered to give us another order, even though we had already eaten 2/3 of them. We declined the offer. Daughter arrived and she ordered a wrap, which she had to get a box to take 1/2 home because of the portion size. Husband had Chicken Monterey and he said he would definitely order it again. I ordered the sirloin and was very impressed. Perfectly cooked to medium and perfectly seasoned. Lovely seared and juicy. Highly recommend this place, even if it isn' the only place open. read more

I would have liked another beer, and was planning on dessert, but she didn't check on us until the last few bites, never asked if we wanted another drink, and just brought the check without checking if we were interested in anything else. My husband and I have had HORRIBLE service when we used to go here. Once, when my husband and his (male) friend had lunch there, the server presumed they were "together", they were both very offended! Then a few weeks later we went in on a Friday night and had our name put on the list. We waited, and they later started calling people's names that had come in after us. We asked what was going on and the girl said she had forgotten about us, and really didn't seem too apologetic. I saw our name written right on the list! So we left. Called management to complain and they could have cared less. The staff are rude and flighty. Much like an Applebee's, but with a better bar area. Great for families or to meet up with friends. From steaks to sandwiches to big salads and wraps, I've never found a bad item. I love the Buffalo Chicken wrap that uses chicken strips with Buffalo sauce and veggies. Also try the NY steak and blue cheese salad with the house curry dressing. Great stuff! read more

Personally I would never go in this place again. The food was good but the service was anything but professional. I don't expect a lot because mostly college kids work here, however the service was absolutely terrible. At one time our server started yelling at a girl who was training and was trying to help us! Someone recommended the Stadium and they were mistaken on their quality. The Stadium should not have a horseshoe on their menu if they can't make one well. The fries were soggy and the cheese was shredded and very sparse. It should've been a creamy sauce. I had the buffalo chicken which was pretty good. It was a shame the fries and cheese ruined it. Same menu as cheddars pretty much so if you like cheddars then you'll love stadium. Best hand breaded chicken strips around. And Buffalo chicken wrap is fantastic, drinks are a little high. Service is usually good but enjoyed it more when they wore football jerseys. Pretty good food with ok service. Sometimes they are a bit heavy on the salt. The Mango Tilapia was awesome one time and just fair the next so consistency can be an issue. The Philly Cheesesteak is good but it isn't the real thing but that is no surprise. Overall a good place to grab a bite to eat and better than some chains. read more

I was quite disappoint last evening when several 2 - 3 person groups were left sitting in the waiting area for the hostess to seat not one but two late arrivals of 6 and 7 people... when i question her she said that we were all waiting for booths and there wasn't any. i had told her along with the others that we had no preferences... never the less we left after sitting for 20 minutes and i called back and talked to manager... she said she would take care of it... they have great food and really am happy with everything ive ever ordered there but was real disappoint in the non-seating of the first customers. even if we had been seated at this point there would have been 13 or more guest served before our order... not good policy to take bigger groups ahead of other couples...we order take out from now on... read more

Being someone who does not eat beef or pork, it is often hard for me to find a restaurant that has enough alternative and, most importantly, great tasting foods to make me return again. Stadium Grill has both. In fact, it has become one of my lunchtime favorites with my clients and suppliers. Ordered the salmon caesar salad and while the salad itself was nice, the sand that was in it was not. When I would chew, it was gritty. I asked the waiter about it, and he tried to pass it off as either spices or crumbs from the bottom of the bag of croutons. Anybody who's ever bitten down on a piece of sand knows exactly what it feels like. Waiter asked if I would like for them to remake it, I said yes, and the second one was worse. It had an actual pebble in it! Also, my husband and I ordered chicken wings for an appetizer, and while asking the waiter about the heat of the sauces, he told us that one was so hot it gave his friend "the sh*ts." I'd rather give Zero stars. But that's not an option. My husband and I went because we heard rave reviews about the chicken strips. They were over cooked, and dry. We told our waitress ( who was wearing shorts made for a toddler) who was obviously unimpressed we complained. We then asked to speak to the manager. A man came out and introduced himself and offered to get us a fresh plate. Perfect! He then proceeded to go back in the kitchen (we were sitting close enough to hear the chatter) and say some colorful words about us, and say we just came in to get free food because we looked like we couldn't pay our bill and he wasn't about to offer that. He wasn't quiet about it at all. Seemed he wanted us to hear him Needless to say we declined the fresh chicken, asked for our bill and left. Beware of this place!
