It all started when I was scrolling thru the internet to see what kind of deals are out there. I was in the market for a nice truck. Online, I see this beautiful truck for a sweet price ($22,595). Only to find out, when I get there, I get told that the owner's son took the truck with him for the night. I show the sales person the ad on my iPhone, he comes back and says no worries. We communicate the next day via text and emails. We both come to an agreement on the price and I happily make my way over to make a test drive and buy. Sales buy comes back with numbers from finance. The price for the truck they were asking for was (get this) $37,959!!!! As soon as I saw the numbers I was disappointed and knew that the outcome was not going to be good. The sales guy didn't even know how to come back, and he was a really good nice guy. I had the family with me: my mom, fiancé, and five year old step daughter. By the way, did I mention it was already 8:30pm? The finance manager comes over and introduces herself. I let her say who she was and she gives a small spill about how they messed up and cannot honor the price. I said okay and asked that they please give me my keys to my car so I could leave. She tries to convince me to still buy this truck or talk me into another car. Again, I ask for my keys in a very professional way. She comes back with, "You are not even listening to me". I said thanks but no thanks and to please let me have my keys. In front of my family, this lady throws her chair back, slamming against the cube glass window and yells out, "FINE THEN, YOU DON'T WANT TO LISTEN, THEN GET OUT OF MY STORE!!!" My daughter's eyes open up startled. My mom gave me this look of what's going on. My 7 month old pregnant fiancé's jaw dropped. I see all these reactions to this lady as she storms off the way she did. With all that said, I kept my composer. I asked my family to step out. As they were, the sales manager walks over with a bundle of sheets and numbers. Again, to explain how they messed up and how they cannot honor the error. BUT, he wanted to show me some numbers to "make it right". Are you kidding, after what the finance manager did? I explained that I didn't feel comfortable with their way of doing business; even more with my family there to witness the outburst of what is supposed to be one of the leaders for the company. I asked if he wanted to make it right, he would honor the price that was on line when I came in. The sales manager asked me to give him a break, and attempted to turn the table on me by insulting me. He asked, "When you saw the ad, didn't you think that was unreasonable"? I said, "Nope, I'm the customer. It is not my responsibility if someone fat fingers an entry to your database. I saw a price and that is what drove me to come in". He quickly turned and said, "what did you call me?" "Call you", I asked. He said, "Yes, you called me fat!!!" He had this look in his face as if he wanted to start a confrontation. I shook my head, repeated myself, and asked for my keys once more. The really bad thing about it all is that all this was done with my family right in front of me. Who does that? The sales guy was a really good, real person. So much that my father was interested in purchasing a new vehicle this weekend and wasn't even in the market for one. The sales guy did so well and in the end lost out of two sales. I will end by saying that there was no need to react the way the finance manager and the sales manger did tonight. Their acts were flat out rude and disrespectful. I got the impression that they got upset because I was an informed customer and they wanted to get one over me. I've never written a review and this is truly my first one. I'm not going to bash the rest of the staff but I have never been treated this way by any car dealership ever in my life. So if you are thinking of heading to Stadium Auto, think twice, you are better off going someplace else. read more
