    Saturday pasta lab
    Eddie L.

Yet another great place and annual tradition to visit Stackt during the holiday season. It never fails to provide me with that Christmas'y and festive spirit. I love the vendors this year, all very unique and a lot of DIY projects. But the one that takes the cake is Saturday pasta lab! Omg it was so good. And right outside of the store is where the Christmas tree and fire pit was. Love stackt!

Cute outdoor space with art installations, vendors, outdoor seating, a pickle ball court, and an area for dogs. Not a lot of vegan and gluten free options. Small paid parking area around the back/side. I would have like to have food options that wasn't just French fries. Sushi place opened after we left. The new pasta place said they are working on bringing gf pasta. A lot of vendors weren't open when we arrived so we need to go back when everything is open. I did get some fun greeting cards at one vendor. The smoothie/bone broth place was good and I would have tried the smoothies if I didn't have my own with me.

This outdoors Toronto market is the perfect new unique space the city needed. It is so versatile and well-kept, it is always a pleasure to visit. You can enjoy retail shopping, eats and drinks, galleries, and activities scattered throughout the area. This particular visit, it was during their winter set up so we got to enjoy seeing the tree up as well as fire pits scattered throughout, curling lanes to enjoy, and many artisan shops perfect for gifts. If you are looking for a fun place to explore, add Stackt to the list!

So I check this place out every so often during all seasons and each season they bring forth new and innovative ideas to the market. This review is for the Christmas holiday. Ferris Wheel $9.50 /ride 2 risers requires. Worth it, the views are beautiful of the city skyline, it does go up a bit fast but it was about 4 rounds. It does not run every day (if there's other events) We got to enjoy a fire show! The place is decorated very nicely with Christmas trees. There was a free ornament decorating workshop courtesy of BMO. They was very fun, there was a live band and Santa Claus. There's a popup whisky bar, & lastly this year there was a wellness corner! Overall, really enjoyed the visit!

Great place to check out local vendors and shops. Majority of the vendors stay for a 3 month lease. I haven't been able to come by in a while so it was interesting to see new shops. There was a pop up market as well when we went this past weekend. It's a fun place to check out some shops. There were some activities also happening when we went and there's a calendar that tells you upcoming events in the market. There were bonfires around and places to sit outside if you'd like.

They got many fun activities and a good variety of food and drink options that will get you to come back often. There are many shops that focus on sustainable products and are environmentally friendly. Lots of interesting shops to keep you busy all day long.

This industrial-chic shipping container market at the foot of Front Street and Bathurst Street is one of the most unique places in the city. With over 100,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor space, it's an ideal spot to visit year-round. Stackt is home to over 20 local vendors. The venue offers a packed calendar of free events, it hosts an impressive farmer's market every Saturday, as well as rotating art exhibits. You could easily spend a day here. Plus, the views of the city are breathtaking (hello, CN Tower, Fort York and Toronto Islands in the distance!). As for the food, the eclectic offerings are impressive. MAKAN, a collab between Chef Trever Lui and Singaporean restaurant Lion City, offers OG Singaporean Classic hawker-style noodles. If you're in the mood for fried chicken, pop into JoyBird for some authentic Taiwanese southern-fried chicken. And, don't forget to finish off with some highly addictive birthday cake cookie dough from Pandoughra's box! A visit to Stackt wouldn't be complete without stopping by the Belgian Moon Brewery patio. Crack open and cold one after a very Canadian game of Crokicurl (a hybrid of two classic Canadian games, Crokinole and curling). Stackt truly is the best of Toronto. Each experience is highly curated, the atmosphere is alive, and it's super accessible by car, public transit, bicycle and foot. If you haven't been, play tourist in your own city for a day and go!

What a unique and fun experience. A true gem in a landscape in the midst of a gentrified area along Bathurst, Stackt offers up a a new life for those boxcar castaways. Just a stroll through the long corridors offers something new. Where else can you find a bunch load of millennials in a massive Yurt sipping merlot. we casually slipped by the Yurt to enjoy some festive pictures en route to a more mixed crowd at Belgian Moon Brewery for a few pints brewed right on sight. This is a vibe that young and older families can pursue for some fun and fare. try a game of giant Jenga while eating some home made pizza, and buy some crafts from local businesses. It appears to be an agile community, that the business such as the restos on site change and allow new and interesting flavour to join the party. -Zuk

Stackt market is a fun and bustling shipping container turned marketplace hangout. Truly this place is stacked in terms of the assortment of vendors and experiences - from Milky's coffee, Courage cookies (where proceeds go to a good cause), Thyme Studio (for beautiful fresh and floral blooms), Auntie's Supply (cutely curated selection of Asian snacks and groceries), Pandoughra's Box (stuffed cookies, cookie dough and ice cream), New Pie (delicious pies and buns, including some with a Filipino twist), IKEA Design studio, and refreshments from Belgian Moon Brewery. Stackt is pretty cool and festive in the cooler months with fire pits and free hot chocolate the day I went, and soon to have an outdoor rink and live music and performances. They have proper washrooms, and BMO on site if you need cash. Definitely recommend checking them out!

BOTTOM LINE: Made for the 'gram but not for the soul. Yeah, I know, the tag's a bit melodramatic but I mean, this place may be just a tad too extra to truly swoon my (just barely) millennial heart. The cargo container concept's great and aesthetically on trend, and the outdoor murals and installations are salivation-worthy, but it all feels like it's barely held together by the sprawling astroturf lawn and nearly lack of interesting retail shops. The Belgian Moon brewery in the back offers a great patio in the summer, but it feels just a bit too corporate to me even though I'm generally pro-gentrification. Anyway, it's still a cool space worth stopping by, and they are making sincere efforts at hosting cool events with the local music and arts scene (e.g., the Wavelength music festival), so hopefully it'll continue to build upon that.

So this market just opened on Wednesday. I was hoping for more shops, restaurants, etc. It's too bad they still have so many vacancies. What do they have? Donuts from Hamilton, coffee, bubble tea, a few clothing shops, a store for glasses, and a few other artistic ventures. Oh, you can buy a mattress, plants/flowers, and flip flops too! An eclectic mix of retailers. In the back, there's a large brewery space. Indoor and outdoor seating. They also have AstroTurf with scattered seating so it's nice to just bask in the sun. The concept is fun. Excellent use of space and materials. Why 3 stars? This place reminds me of Dinerama and Boxpark in London. It's just a much smaller version with not enough food options. I want this place to succeed but people go where the food and drinks are. Stackt just doesn't have any variety for food! The lineups for beer and donuts were extra long so it goes to show what the people want. I hope I can edit this review on a later date with more positive feedback!

Good vibes, good food that even accommodates dietary restrictions! Halal chicken and beef options available. Would recommend coming during the day if you want to see the stores but even the night time vibes are great! If I lived closer I'd definitely visit this place frequently.

It's been a couple of years since I've last visited Stackt Market. There's definitely a lot more vendors compared to two years ago. There's nice floral arrangements throughout and a couple of patio/eating areas with fire pits and heaters. There is also an indoor dine in area at the back for Belgium Moon and JoyBird. At the entrance, there's a nice flower shop, Thymes Studio, selling cute bunny tails and dried bouquets. Couple shops over, there's Promise Supply selling a large variety of plants. There's a coffee shop that looks really nice. If you're into Asian snacks, there's Auntie Supply, fully stocked with Pocky sticks and more! For the sneaker heads, in the middle of the market, there's a sneaker store. I believe there's a sneaker drop when I went in that day as I noticed many people trying on and walking out the store with Nike shoe boxes. Before leaving the market, we got food at Joybird, it's a Taiwanese fried chicken booth serving burgers and chicken platters. Since the indoor dining was full, we choose a table out on the patio between two fire pits so even though we were outside, we're warm. We decided to grab burgers there for lunch since it's handy and won't be too messy to eat outdoors. I ordered the Birdie 2.0 which is fried chicken with spicy kale slaw on a potato bun. My friend ordered the Spring chicken which is fried chicken with chopped spring onions on a potato bun. The size of the burger was perfect and enough for a lunch meal. The piece of fried chicken inside the bun was hot and crispy, it was perfect! My burger was delicious and flavourful with a nice kick of spice. On my way out, I swung by Thyme Studio to pick up a dried bouquet and a bunch of bunny tails. If you want flowers from them, please do go early! They sell out fast! I will definitely be back since there's a lot more vendors and more going on now!

    You've never seen it before.

All items are complimentary where you pick up your favourites, post on social media (Instagram, Tik Tok), and take your pick-me-ups home. The MilkUP pop-up does require all guests to show proof of vaccination (2 doses + 14 days), fill out a contact tracing and COVID screener online, as well as follow the MilkUP Instagram page. I was surprised by all the safety protocols in place but I did see people who were not able to enter due to a variety of reasons. Due to pandemic restrictions, were was a capacity limit of 25 people. I opted to drop by the MilkUP pop-up on a Friday at around 10:30am before it opened at 11am. I should have known better because there was already a long line all the way on Bathurst when I arrived. Making a split second decision, I decided to wait in line. I was able to enter the pop-up at noon after waiting in line for 1.5 hour. Once you enter, you are asked to take your complimentary tote bag, cap, and tshirt along with some other items from different sections. You are only allowed to take 1 item per section. There is also a space where you get to customize either your tote, cap or tshirt with one of their patch designs. There were a variety of local business I was familiar with - Ruru Baked (they had the peaches n cream ice cream!), Milky's Coffee (different flavoured milks), Kwento cheesecakes, Milk2Go, and Cops Doughnuts. I picked up goodies from those places as well as snapped a few pictures within the space. There is also an upstairs portion for more pictures. When you are ready to leave with your items, there are staff at the door to check your items where you show them your post on social media. Once that's done you are good to go with your free items! Interesting concept , I certainly thought it was pretty cool to have a pop-up like this. However, do be prepared to wait in line outside.

I decided to search for a nearby, somewhat windless sanctuary and I discovered a farmer's market at Brookfield Place. Formerly known as BCE Place, this farmer's market is tiny compare to the one at Bay and Adelaide. It's nestled in the small courtyard (called the Garden Court) that faces Front Street and it only has four vendor tables full of produce and baked goods. - Table 1: artisanal breads and baked goods like strudels (apple and blueberry) - Table 2: various fruits and vegetables like berries, zucchinis, tomatoes, onions, potatoes - Table 3: cold cut meats like salamis, pepperonis, mini pepperoni sticks, huge dog bones (?!), olive oils, artisanal breads - Table 4: more fruits and vegetables I noticed plastic bags with the Foodland Ontario logo on them so most likely, the organization is behind this endeavour. According to the Brookfield website, the vendors are all local farmers. But I wondered about the authenticity of how local the produce was when I saw a few boxes of mangoes being sold. Hmmm... In any case, if you're nearby and need a groceries without paying the middle-man, come here. They're open every Thursday from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm, until the end of September 2010.
