We love evergreen brickworks! We love the events held there, the forest sanctuary, seeing turtles and frogs in the ponds, the lookout, the market, the cozy stores. Market day, our fave lunch vendor is always TC Tibetan momos. My family always shares a 6 momos with vegan noodles plate, and sometimes we buy extra pickled cabbage. We also love buying mushrooms, fruit, veg, and Johnson's sourdough bread. We LOVE the blueberry scone from picnic. Best we ever had, and we can't leave without buying and sharing one. It's so buttery! The store sells lots of small business stuff and I love that! Love the events they hold and I've tried sprouts with my kid once, we did songs and circle time and learned about vole nests and rabbit highways and beaver chomps. Also love the kids garden! I'm happy that this place survived the terrible recent rainstorm!

Nice park/trail close to downtown. Good amount of shade and varying degrees of difficulties. There's a farmer's market every Saturday but be sure to come early. Also a few restaurants, a garden, and some other attractions. There is parking but you need to pay.

One of my favourite places to go walking during spring summer and winter and fall the fall colours are so nice and beautiful. Have a great day.

Even in the rain. This is a paradise within minutes of the busy city.

Walking in the rain. Waiting for an event to start. What a beautiful Sunday! You have a bike? Bring it! Like to jog? Do it. You can walk all over the place and Journey to a time when this city was very young.

Lots of trails to enjoy a quick hike.. still so close to the city but feels like you're in a forest. The views of the city are also fantastic from here. We always bike here and find it quite challenging to dock our bike share bikes. It's great that there's bike path all the way here. There's always a farmer's market or vintage clothes going on here. So it's super vibrant but pretty expensive. We love it and visit in all seasons except in winter of course. Fall and spring are particularly beautiful.

First day of opening this year.

Came here in the first day they opened for this year due to the pandemic. Got here just after 10 and barely found parking. Just FYI, they mobile parking payment options to have "contact free". Anyhow, we donned our protection gear. And trooped in. When we got to the veggie stand, the owners were so glad to see us (the consumers). I'm a big believer to support all the local farmers that grow our goodies. We got some organic kale from them. Then we jumped to a fruit stall and grabbed some strawberries. After a few shops we found a momo store. And their claim is they only use local produces for their momo stuffing (picture to come later). Overall I thoroughly enjoyed coming to farmers market and I'm glad they are opened.

If you have a friend or family member visiting Toronto, I highly recommend coming here! It's a nice space for walking and enjoying nature within the city. There's also a good restaurant and bakery inside. There is a nursery where you can pick up some lovely plants. There is also a farmers market on Sundays I believe. We have been coming for many years and have always enjoyed it. It's paid parking though so just a heads up!

Nice hike trail nearby, some small ponds with turtles. A little hike up the hill and you can see all of the brick works, the CN tower in the background and the lush don valley forest. A nice nature escape hike in the heart of Toronto.

Pimenton's chorizo and eggs. Very oily. (menu contradicts: It actually doesn't come with any arepas underneath!!)

Love this place! Partly because it's within the greenery of the Don valley and there are so many bikes and trails to walk/hike upon. But also there's history to the site and I quite like the rusty, industrial setting. The market has a food court section as well as a fresh produce section. I suggest that you come before 12pm, the lines get hectic around lunch hour. We had an early lunch at 11am so it wasn't as crowded and the food is still in stock! First time coming here, quite impressed. The space was filled with good vibes -- lots of young families and dogs (I think even more so because it was a long weekend!). There's a children garden with lots of space to play hide and go seek and learn about gardening; there's even a tepee! I had the chorizo and egg with beans from Pimento and they were okay. I found the chorizo really salty and overall dish very oily. What I like about this farmers market is that there's an abundance of picnic benches and seating area to eat. Evergreen Brick Works is big enough to accommodate seating for large crowds, even during busy lunch hours. There are always tables around -- some people even bring their own picnics! Lovely space, I'll most likely come back to explore more of the trails and to try the crepes!

It's a gathering of business from farmers, to artisans, alcohol and prepared foods producers, plus services and community groups. It's a cool 6 degrees but terrific to be out at this local event. Lots of people brought their kids and pets to the park. Vendors were courteous and friendly. Payment accepted include cash, debit, e-transfer and credit card. We bought a Market Coffee cup of fresh coffee, baked items from Motherdough Mill and Bakery, a delicious Mnandi Pies flaky chicken & mushroom pie and a case of 12 Crazy D's sparkling prebiotic drinks. I had parked across from East Lynn Park to attend a couple of businesses as part of a work event. When we walked from an escape room to a cafe, we walked past the park and I noticed tents being set up. This activity was taking place at around 2:30 pm. My colleagues and I had spent nearly 2.5 hours at this cafe. When we all disbanded, I headed back to my car and cut through this park. I found out that it has a farmers' market every Thursday from 3 - 7 pm. I was extremely happy! I got momos from Napalese Momo. Staff had already made them in advance and simply needed to steam them. I was advised that it would take four minutes. I got a mixed assortment of momos and they were delicious. The hot sauce is like a four-alarm fire in your mouth. You have been warned! Jiggy Popz is there every other week. I managed to get handcrafted popsicles made with natural ingredients. I had the sweet cherry immediately and it was divine. The man who makes them with his partner said that it is work to take the stems and pits out, before pureeing them. I can imagine, which is why it was my first choice. I also had Jann Arden's song, Cherry Popsicle, in my head as I enjoyed this popsicle in my car. I polished off my last one, the pineapple. They make yummy popsicles. I noticed that Stock and Trade was next to Napalese Momo. I picked up the best chicken stock from this store a few months ago. It was offering some yummy sandwiches. It's is a local butcher shop, but it makes fantastic sandwiches. I wanted one, but the momos had won me over. Next time! I love an unexpected find. I definitely want to check out the rest of the vendors next time. I look forward to returning on Thursdays specifically for the farmers' market. (301)

This year the vendors are all down at the bottom of the hill - completely invisible from the danforth. In the old location there was plenty of space so you could quickly peruse the goods, make some purchases and hop back on the bike. Now you've got to walk a gantlet that is chalk-a-block with people who want to give you balloon animals, etc. I think it's great that the market is a community hub, but if it's not going to be first and foremost a market, it's not going to attract farmers. Why is DECA (a very worthy community group) occupying the stall nearest to the danforth while the only vendor who is selling actual produce has the very last stall at the far end of the park? I hope this market will return to its former glory.
