Sumac Nonprofit software is fabulous and very USER-FOCUSED! They offer free use of their software, including customer service, to nonprofits with less than 500 donors. They write useful, practical fundraising articles that would apply to any nonprofit, regardless of whether you use their Sumac software or not. They provide great customer service; regardless of whether you are a small or large nonprofit (I don't think they discriminate based on how much money they are making off of you). Their software is very well organized and user-friendly. Their documentation and training are excellent and again, very user-focused. They even have tools that allow you to import your database yourself if you don't want to pay for migration fees! When we migrated to our previous nonprofit software, prior to Sumac, we had to pay $5,000 and it was a mess. Sumac only charges about $1,500 I think (which is very reasonable), but we did the migration ourselves for free using their tools. Amazing! It's clear that the Sumac team is definitely interested in and in-tune with what their customer's needs are. We are a small nonprofit, with less than 2,000 records. We only use Sumac's Contact, Donation, and Communication records with their basic package. read more
