Location: The signage to get you there is pretty much non-existent. If you know where the A&W is, pull in there. You'll see a hotel. Denny's is behind the hotel. Hopefully that helps someone. I've eaten at Denny's (in Belleville Ontario) more times than I can count. This was not the experience I remember. I ordered the "BUILD YOUR OWN GRAND SLAM" breakfast for $14.39. I picked bacon, eggs, shredded hash browns and bacon again (because bacon is my spirit animal.) My wife ordered the "LUMBERJACK SLAM" breakfast ($19.49 I think) with eggs, bacon, sausage, ham, hash browns, pancakes, and toast. For the most part the food was amazing. I don't recall the food in Belleville being half as good as this was. The eggs were cooked to perfection. The food was very salty which I'm used to at Denny's. My shredded hash browns were the most flavourful I've ever had but the wife's seasoned hash browns were the star of the show IMO. We agreed the pancakes tasted like McDonald's hotcakes but much better. Sausages are my wife's favourite but these had a strange aftertaste that I can only describe as a medicine taste which I didn't notice until I swallowed. On the other hand the ham was moist and delicious. I also ordered a coffee. It was standard diner coffee. The toast was... toast. Nothing to write home about. In the end we were pleased with our experience and will return for dinner next time.

Once we were seated, it took a little while for someone to bring our drinks and take our order but the food was quick and absolutely delicious! I enjoyed the Belgian waffle with cream and blueberries (and 4 strips of bacon!). The waffle was full of sugar and absolutely what I needed. My partner got the skillet and it was perfect. Enough food to go around. There was just enough cheese to make it phenomenal The atmosphere was extremely busy but calm in a sense. The staff seemed rushed but the patrons seemed to be having a grand time. I'll definitely be back to try the other side!

I only started eating at Sunnyside Too in the last few years when I visited my parents. They go at least once a weekend. I like going at least once when I am visiting Bedford because it has a great family-style atmosphere, amazing service and quality homestyle food. I always try something different when I eat at Sunnyside Too. Sure, you can go totally bonkers with the high fat, high sugar, high calorie and low nutrition options on the menu. You can also find lots of good, heart healthy options. I discovered a few years back that any egg dish you order can be made with egg whites instead of whole eggs, at no extra charge. That's a nice touch. We stopped in on a busy Saturday morning, but didn't have to wait for a table. The dining area was packed with two main groups of diners - parents with their young children, and seniors. Lots of seniors, in large groups. I was craving an authentic Maritime breakfast on the last day of our trip and that could only mean one thing would fit the bill - the salt cod fish cakes. For those not familiar with the traditional Maritime way of life, fish can be a part of any meal, including breakfast. My mouth watered at the prospect of having salt cod fish cakes, done the proper way with potato and local seasoning. They did not disappoint! Pan fried, not deep fried, the dense and flavourful cakes were made with fresh and flaky salt cod, potatoes and seasonings including chives. Served with sweet and tangy chow relish, homemade baked beans, homestyle fries and whole wheat toast, it was a championship breakfast from start to finish. All of the flavours and textures worked perfectly. It's not fancy eating, it's just good down home eating. My wife ordered an egg white omelette chock full of veggies including big chunks of peppers, broccoli and onion. She was very happy with the flavour and freshness of her omelette. Served with homestyle fries and toast, it was more than enough to get us fueled for the day. Can't say enough about the service - super friendly and attentive, always quick with a water or coffee refill, despite the busy dining room. All with a smile too. Our food also arrived quickly, despite the menu indicating that the fish cakes take a little longer to prepare (but are worth the wait). All menu items were reasonably priced as well. We'll definitely be back on our next trip to Bedford!
