Perhaps not really at any cost, but I'm willing to wait for fifteen minutes for a crepe if the mood strikes. I love the tomato, mozza and basil crepe; it's a French version of the Margarita pizza and y'all know how I love a pizza. If I'm feeling sassy and sweet, I'll hop out on a sugary limb and go for the chocolate and banana delight. The crepes are made while you watch, by cuties in little berets. The prices are pretty good; I'm always satisfied post-crepe both hunger and taste wise. If you're able to navigate your way into this offshoot compartment down one of the many cavernous halls of the market, then you should pop in line and pick up a crepe. Don't cut it too close though; sometimes they start cutting the line off early so as to accommodate as many people as possible before the market closes up shops. Bon appetit!

There is quite an art to making these things, not many second chances to get it right. The crowd is pretty hungry in this market. The Crepe was hot and ready to eat. This is a mastered science in itself. It was quit clear to everyone around us , that we were novice crepe eaters. This is a very messy eat, but good. I do not recommend this as a first date experience. I think the next time we will try the sugar rush, bananas and chocolate.

I don't have an office space, so I rely a lot on cafe's and library's to get me out of the apartment. Tart & Soul is going to be an amazing little get away with huge, bright windows, plenty of tables to work at, and a patio space for when it's nice out. I arrived in the late morning and treated myself to one of their scrumptious scones. Really, they had me at cheese and green onion, but as soon as I took that first bite I knew I was going to be coming back. Their scones are crunchy on the outside and fluffy on the inside, with the perfect flavour balance for my carb-loving self. Next up on my "must eat" list? Cinammon buns...but I think I'm going to have to get out of the apartment earlier for those, because they seem to go fast! They have wifi, which I've come to expect at any coffee shop I go to now, and the password is cross stitched into an adorable sign near the cash register. Actually, I love all of the decor. It's cute, a bit kitchy and shows a lot of personality from the owners. There were a boquet of fresh flowers scenting the bench that I sat at, though I could hardly smell them over the smell of chocolate chip cookies baking in the back. Mmmmm. Oh, they brew Anchor Coffee for those interested. I love when local businesses support other local businesses, so that definitely pleased me! And it was delicious too. I'll definitely be back! I expect I will be working there a lot once fall term starts at Dal.

They had both vegetarian and omnivore options available. The baked goods all looked wonderful and tempting as well. I believe street parking is all that's available, but it's well worth it! Fluffy ciabatta bread with avocado and chicken salad (but not your typical chunks of chicken mixed with mayo, not at all! It's got cranberries and is in some orange sauce. Whatever it was, it was really tasty). Each sandwich comes out to about $7-8 including tax. Well worth it in my opinion!! You can tell the ingredients are fresh. Oh I should mention the coffee and espresso too cause after all this is a cafe. All I can say is that they take their coffee seriously! They have tasting sessions and stuff you can sign up for. They make their beverages using cool equipment to draw out more of the beans' flavour. You can tell I don't know much about the whole coffee making process but I can tell you it's good and these folks definitely know what they're doing. I love that they have all the different options for milk which you can get for an additional 50 cents. Including almond and even oat milk!
