I had the Stack. Basically all the meat they had is folded and fitted in my sandwich. I chose lettuce and tomatoes and mayonnaise. It was tasty. Although it was very wet. It wasn't the tomatoes either. It was the lettuce that was chopped into a disappointing pile reminiscent of McDonalds. I doubt this sandwich will be good 15 minutes into if you don't start devouring asap! The place is clean. The staff fast and helpful. YUMMM!! My sandwich was delicious! I got the turkey bacon special sub. The turkey was good, bacon was a little absent but still a good touch to the sandwich. The jalapeños were spicy and I loved it. They were generous with the Mayo and mustard and I deeply appreciated that. I had a pleasant experience here with the staff as well. Younger employees could benefit from some customer service training -- for example, greeting people when they enter the shop or while standing directly in front of them at the counter for over a minute. A simple "how's it going? We'll be right with you!" goes a long way ... it sort of seems like some of the younger employees don't know how to interact with real-life human beings. Happy to elaborate. I like it but didn't love it. The sandwich I got was the Turkey ranch sub and it was almost too spicy to eat. It has spicy ranch on it but I found myself overwhelmed with spice instead of flavor. This location is also in a busy part of Belmar which isn't a bad thing but you will need to plan ahead for parking. I thought I would be able to park right out front due to covid but instead parked a few blocks away. All in all it was a good sandwich and take out experience but next time I would do better with some regular ranch. read more

Cons -pretty small space, not ideal for a group over 5/6 to dine in -Nothing super special about the menu, similar to a potbelly, which is not a bad thing IMO. -Wish their bread was slightly higher quality, it's not bad at all, but not on par with some other sandwich shops which make their own. Both came out to be about $20 bucks before tip. It was our first time there and we just wanted something quick off the menu. I asked the worker to put whatever usually comes on the subs and the gal just rolled her eyes. The shop wasn't busy and we came one hour before closing. Workers seemed irritated and acted like we were an inconvenience to them. You would think that after telling them it was our first time there and tipping them they'd be more helpful with our orders.. Stopped by to preview the menu for our upcoming Yelp event. We got a Stack sub and a French Dip, both on white bread. Both had plenty of meat and yummy, toasted bread. After recently having a sub from a big chain, I was excited to see if one thing in particular was true. If you read the main page for Stack Subs, you can check out the very thorough and thoughtful message about the business. Owner, Rick, says one of their main goals is to make sure every bite is the same by equally distributing all the toppings. They met their goal. Perfectly distributed. We also had a couple of shakes that didn't make it home because we drank them on the way. I'm an adult and I can too eat my dessert before my dinner. Can't wait to come back! read more

I was craving a turkey sandwich with avocado and decided to try this place rather than a chain like subway. I was specifically craving something on soft bread and I didn't realize that their default was to toast the sandwich. Oh well, I was super hungry and willing to give it a shot. Overall the sandwich is just ok. The turkey is good but overall the sandwich isn't something I would want to eat again. It doesn't taste fresh or look appealing (lots of brown lettuce) and I didn't like that I couldn't see them making it. Maybe I'll give it another shot next time I want a sandwich. read more

Not sure what happened to this establishment in all honesty. It went to my favorite sub place to a place I don't even want to do business with. Today I came in wanting a stack and was excited to get one. It's October 12 and I ordered my sandwich around 12pm. The person taking my order then forgot to make my sandwich??? Yea crazy huh? Then I was going through the line and I was asked 3 times yes 3 times what I ordered. Like all the workers were taking heavy drugs or something. After I thought everything was taken care of I was asked what condiments and toppings I want in which they put them on another customer's sandwich. Then a worker caught that and told the person putting them on in which they took all the toppings off and did not even bother telling the lady until the end. Asking "your not allergic to so and so". I was then being passed by customers that I came in way before. Which should not of been the case at all. Anyways I walked out before even getting my food and I won't return. The representatives are that bad and now I'm off to find a new sandwich place that does not hire incompetence. I recommend not going here as the place has done way down hill. read more

Wow. Was all set to give this place 5 stars before this employee drama unfolded in front of me just now! I was helped by probably the most friendly employee I have encountered. This gentleman was engaging, friendly and very helpful and you could tell he really likes his job. He is a gentleman with dark hair and a Colorado Rockies ball cap. He was so nice and the food was very good so I was even going to overlook that it was $22 for lunch in my review. Then a young lady with dark hair came in for her shift and started being very loud and arguing with the gentleman. She was very out of line for a workplace and very loud and complained about personal drama in front of a customer. The gentleman then left angry. This should never happen in front of customers and from my perspective it was definitely the young lady who was the antagonist. She is still complaining in the back very loudly to a fellow employee about the situation the entire time I write this review and I can still hear her. Well, I would have came back but not now. Combine the sky high price tag and poor employee training and performance making me very uncomfortable I definitely won't be back and you shouldn't either. At least not until the owner gets this under control. I heard he is opening more locations, well I would get this location under control before I would think about expanding. It was so yummy, packed with meat, cheese and all the optional toppings. The employees were super kind and working hard despite the crazy rush during lunch time. Bummed to write this but man, this place does not know how to make a wrong right. Put in an online order for pickup for two subs, one 100% as it comes and the other with some mods. They didn't make a single change to the other sub which included $1.60 extra charge for avocado. Didn't realize this until we were back home and opened the food to eat so I called them to let them know. Guy was nice on the phone and said he'd talk to his manager and call me back, which he did. Asked if we wanted another sandwich but since we were already back home that wasn't really an option and then they told us "they can't give us a refund." What the heck? You provided the wrong sub I paid for along with not providing the up-charge I paid extra for and you won't even refund it. If that's how you think of your customers and their money then no chance do I give you any more of it. Edit after business response: Appreciate this being made right - still wish I didn't have to write a review to get that resolved but upped the stars for ultimately doing something to make it right. As for it being cumbersome to do a refund through a delivery partner, I can understand that from your end but it's the partner you chose and use on your own website. I didn't go to Grubhub to order, I was taken there through your site. Employees should be able to process a refund in the store so it doesn't come to creating a bad experience. I'd been craving the Pastrami (thanks to whomever posted that photo on here!) and they happened to have a Reuben Special when I finally made it over! Toasty and Sauerkrauty and Swissy all over a Pretzel Bun. Couldn't ask for more. Then the Russian Dressing took it over the top. And the girl making my sammich was super friendly, but not in that phony-over the top way (I'm looking at you, Firehouse.).
