Great experience with First Coast! I recently purchased a new house with pool equipment I was…read moreunfamiliar with as it differed from prior house. I contacted the pool installer to see if they could come give me tutorial on the equipment they installed but couldn't even get a call back. I contacted at-least 5 other pool companies for a tutorial/inspection and quote for weekly service. One told me to take pictures and come to their store (not helpful), 1 setup appointment but were no show. The other 3 wouldn't return calls or emails. First coast contacted me back within hours of my request and came out 2 days later. The owner was super friendly and explained everything to me and answered all my questions. Ended up setting up a weekly service to get pool under control. I may end up taking it over myself once I understand it more but they are so friendly I may just keep the weekly service. They have been here twice now, pool is clean, equipment is working and provide a email service report each week with photo of pool, chemical readings and summary of the chemicals added and services rendered. Highly recommend this growing company if you need pool service!!

When we…read morehired them to build our new pool we had just finished construction on our new house and we were really worried about living with more construction. However, from day one, everyone we've worked with; from Shane coming out to show us all our options, to Stephanie answering our many questions over the phone to Candi who got us up and running once the water was in the pool; they have all been amazing and made this whole process such a pleasant one!! We couldn't be more pleased and would highly recommend them!! We actually just finished our "pool school" with Candi this morning and I truly cant say enough great things about her! She's been amazing!! Once the pool was filled with water she was at our house every few days, cleaning, checking and maintaining the pool getting it ready for us to use! She's super sweet, super helpful, and anytime we had a question she'd respond right away. Just a great overall experience, thank you Superior Design Pools!!

We finally hired a leak detection company to inspect our 2 year old pool as we found that we had to continually add water and found that the leak was in the pool collar underneath the drains. The leak detection company approached Superior Pools to do the warranty work and the claim was denied. I would not recommend this company to build a pool as you may end up with a pool full of lemons instead of pool water.

We didn't have a choice but to replace the pool pump so we went to Leslie's since they offer interest free financing for 12 months through Wells Fargo. He did a very quick and excellent job at removing the old pump and installing a new one. The new pump works great, has a 2 year warranty, and we have 12 months to pay it off. In store staff and the install tech were all very nice and easy to work with.

Our 25-year-old pool and Lani were showing signs of age, so we decided that this was the year for a…read moremakeover. I remembered a co-worker had his pool resurfaced, so I asked him who had done it and he told me John Castleman, and he said he was very happy with his work. John came out to assess the job and give an estimate. He was very down to earth, listened to what we wanted and made some suggestions which were very helpful. We had a row of tile across the top of our pool that we were going to either replace or just get rid of, but John said they were in real good shape and suggested we just have him regrout it, which would save us money. He gave us a very competitive quote for the work. We went with this option, and it came out looking brand new! I had mentioned that I thought the pool might have a leak. John identified two leaks, one by the skimmer and one by the pool light that hadn't worked in the last 20 plus years. No wonder it didn't work. Not only were we resurfacing the pool, but we were rescreening our Lani, as we lost a couple screen panels with the hurricane last year. I pressure washed my Lani at least once a year, but there are areas I cannot reach. Our Lani structure is white, but after 25 years, the mold in those areas looks disgusting. So, before any work got started, I called Pressure Washing Alternatives to clean the Lani structure. In a couple hours, they made the structure look brand new. Cost $225. This has nothing to do with John Castleman Pools, but I thought it might help others in my situation. Our Lani was rescreened by Jacksonville Screen Inc, another fantastic company. John worked with me to make sure the pool resurfacing was done before the Lani was rescreened. This worked out really well. We added a heat pump to our pool. John coordinated the electrician to come out to add the service to handle this and took care of all of the plumbing changes to tie in the new heat pump with our system. He also installed a working pool light and a railing by our steps, (we are getting old). The whole project took about two months from the time we first spoke to John. It would have been faster, but we had to wait on the delivery of the heat pump. I was just hoping it could get scheduled by mid-summer, so I was pretty pleased with how fast it went. John suggested even though I have a heat pump, that I get a solar cover. He said it would cut down on the evaporation but also cut down on the amount of chemicals we'd have to use. Since I put the cover on the pool, I have not had to add any water, and have only had to add one Clorine tablet a week. John was good about cleaning up, never leaving a mess. He also checks back with me from time to time, and always answers my texts when I have questions. Our pool and Lani are now better than new. We were truly blessed to have John do this job for us.
