We got an email offering a tour of the cemetery, showing some of the highlights: Rick James…read moreheadstone, Frank Lloyd Wright's final resting place, Red Jacket. Forest Lawn has expanded multiple times since it was opened in the mid-1800's.
Before the 40 minute tour, we enjoyed some tasty appetizers: extremely large shrimp, spicy meatballs, crudités, seasoned burrata on toast, chicken wings..
In addition, before we got on the tour bus, we had a brief tour of the room where some of the boxes and urns of people who chose cremation are stored, behind protective glass or stone walls. One can visit their relatives, but only by appointment.
We saw deer, geese and a hedgehog within the cemetery as the tour bus drove around.
