The staff took care of everything down to the smallest detail to make this difficult time manageable and as stress free as was possible under the circumstances. They made sure every detail was done to our satisfaction and answered any questions we may have had. They offered advice and suggestions when requested, and we were unsure as to what to do but never pushed anything on us . Planning the final remembrance for a loved one is never easy but Lakeside showed compassion and professionalism throughout the entire time. Losing a loved one is always painful. I had already pre-planned it, all she had to do is write a check. I called the funeral home 2 days before the funeral just to make sure they had everything they needed. They asked me to hold for a moment... He THOUGHT he put me on hold. He DIDN'T!! I heard him tell his colleague "I really don't have to deal with her or their faggot brother. The sister is the one paying." I immediately hung up. I was completely astonished that someone could possibly speak that way about family members who've just lost their loved one.
