I am the health advocate for a friend with limited english. After the initial consult with Dr. Lader, I literally had to call 10 times to get the accurate amount due for the procedure. If I had not been persistent, they would have charged her $10K for a procedure that was 60% covered by her insurance. There was no followup, and there has been no communication regarding a referral she needs for a prosthodontist. It has been eye opening into the problems many must face. I would not suggest working with this office. read more

When the tech was taking my x-ray's, she didn't have the machine up high enough because it hit me in my sore shoulder. I had to wait at least 45 minutes until I was seen and then Lader only spent 2 minutes with me. He practically ran in and ran out of the exam room!!! Then when I went to schedule, his first opening is January 10!!!! I need to have a tooth extracted. It's infected and causing me a great deal of pain. read more

Had my wisdom teeth removed this morning. The only nice person there was the surgeon. The women at the waiting desk was more than rude, sure it was 8am but it's no reason, no excuse. especially when it's surgery. It just gave me anxiety from the start. I had a question about the paperwork and the lady at the desk kept telling me to sit down, it didn't look like something was filled out properly and I was confused. None the less she just told me to sit down. after the general anasthesia, I assume it was a nurse who walked me to the waiting room and handed me off to my wife with no wheel chair. I have 0 recollection of my disorientation other than a video I recorded of my self in the car. but who ever is responsible for sending me to walk across the parking lot slumped over my wife's shoulder is insane. My wife is half the size of me and I'm honestly surprised she was able to get me to the car without me falling or dropping me. id like to stress that the surgeon was very friendly and talkative up until I went under. the whole process seemed very botched together on the paperwork side, but sending me to walk across a parking lot slumped over my wife's shoulder while I was still heavily under the influence of anasthesia and have 0% recollection just strikes me as NOT SAFE. good job to the surgeon. read more

I was super excited for my wisdom tooth consultation due to it being a recommendation from my dentist. Brookside Dental has been nothing but amazing with amazing customer service. I was expecting the same at this location. Unfortunately, I received the exact opposite. Instantly during check in, I was spoken to in a rude demeanor due to not having one of the three insurance cards required. Instead, I had two medical cards rather than one. Instead of educating the customer, I was made to feel less than. I remained positive and did not want it to effect my experience. The experience continues. Not by others dementors. But by feeling rushed and pushed through the process as if they just wanted me out. The doctor was kind but spent minimal time with me. I wish I could trust this office to under go surgery, but the experience has lead me to seek this surgery elsewhere. read more

No courtesy call to remind u not drink or eat anything prior to a surgery so if u never had surgery u better remember u signed a paper 2 months ago when ur appointment was scheduled. The front desk staff will look at u like ur crazy if u didn't remember. read more

Small office with limited seating. Telephone service very poor. Receptionist abrupt with poor people skills. Surgery however was excellent.

Everything with the surgery went accordingly. What I felt was missing was the fact that I did not receive any call prior to the surgery with information regarding the surgery and its procedures. No pre-op instructions. Also, after the surgery. I felt there should be a follow up to see how the patient is doing and if everything came out well and there is no complications. No follow-up. The office should contact the patient prior to , and post surgery . Not the other way around read more

Worst service ever, i waited in the room for an hour thinking i was going to get my surgery today instead the surgeon came in to look at my tooth and said oh yeah we need to take it out. Let's schedule a date. then they scheduled it for 6 months from now! And i explained that i was in pain but apparently they can't help me out... never coming here. read more

Front staff nice. An hour wait before being seen. People complaining in waiting room. Was told by staff it was normal. Dr was nice but didn't address my concern for the overbooking and unnecessary wait. I understand emergencies but I won't continue to go to this practice. read more

The doctors/techs are wonderful. The only issue I have is with the front end staff. They decididly need additional training in customer-patient service. They can be gruff and need to improve there listening skills. This is a medical office where they are dealing with patients who could be in pain, anxious,, worrying about cost, etcetera. Treating people like they are annoying is inappropriate. especially when they are standing in front of you. Being busy is not an excuse for rudeness. When a patient calls, the person answering the phone should open the patients chart to two seconds to see the history. Sounding like you are annoyed and asking questions that have been asked before or scheduling an apppintment 6 months out with no explanation even though the patient was seen and needs to be seen again as soon as possible is bad practice. I had to ask to have the Dr call me to finally get seen. I could go on but I won't. Again. 5 stars for the kindness and professionalism of the doctors and techs/nurses. 2 for the front end. read more

Front desk staff are not very polite and welcoming. I witnessed the receptionist be very rude to an older gentlemen who was simply trying to check on paperwork that supposedly was sent over from his dentist. The woman at the desk was very dismissive and rude to him as he tried to figure out a solution to his problem. After my initial appointment, another receptionist was sent to schedule my follow up appointment and I was told a date and time for my follow up. There was no "what day or time works best for you, etc". It was "your next appointment will be...". Doctors are nice but I was very disappointed with the overall way the office is run. I realize people are under stress right now but in my opinion, that should never come across to the patient who, mind you is usually spending thousands of dollars for treatment. read more

Front desk lady is rude seems like she's cranky. Been there one time before my wisdom teeth procedure and she was very rude and has a snobby comment for everthing you say. Almost like she wants to argue with every customer. The doctor that did my surgery wasn't very friendly either it was just like come in and get out. As far as getting surgery this is by far the least friendly place I've been to. They should definitely look into getting new personnel. The first receptionist that greeted me was professional and friendly. The nurse that took me back to the room and escorted me out after the surgery was professional and friendly. How you treat your patients is very important, you should make pretend you care, even if you don't. read more

I waited a month or more to get a appointment finally get it then when I get there I thought I would have my tooth that's cracked pulled today and all they did was give me a new patient form to fill out took my insurance card information took xray of my mouth sat me in the dentist chair waiting for the dentist to come in look in my mouth to ask me if I'm on any medication and would I like to be esleep for the procedure and gave me another appointment date for December 9th! Wisdom tooth surgery went really well. Dr. Veronica Barreto was the absolute best. She and her assistant Jenny explained everything to us before and after the surgery. I received a follow up call two days after my appointment to see how I was healing. I was given all the tools and information to help the healing process from St Lukes OMS. I want to give 0 ratting to this office, dr was really good I don't have no complaints about her but the girl on front desk Nanette I guess her name was because she did not have her badge on, was very rude, after seeing the dr, dr felt may be I need another follow up appointment, dr said to me wait outside they will schedule for follow up appointment and we waited till 45 minutes outside. I was telling the girl that I took half day from work I need to go, can we schedule appointment over the phone?? She said they never schedule appointment over the phone????!, and was telling us dr is doing surgery so we have to wait until she is done, to schedule our next appointment ???? we went to to talk to her so many time about our problem and she was just being rude and said things happens. and they were all laughing. this was very unprofessional and rude. read more

Awful wait times for emergency services. I was referred here by the emergency room and the receptionist could not give me a surgery date and said she would call me if there is availability in November. I need 3 molars removed as confirmed by their oral surgeon. I cannot wait that long or be on painkillers and antibiotics that long. My blood pressure is frequently 180/114 even on the Naproxen I was prescribed due to extreme pain. I'm praying the antibiotics work and stop this unbearable pain. Looking elsewhere for help. Dont come here expecting to be out of pain anytime soon. read more

staff members where good but the dentist one of them was rude , also the den try to take one of my tooth out but couldn't and he left it like that , no medication or anything and im in so much pain right now and my teeth its there loose almost out and they gave me other appointment to put me to sleep for November 30 aint fair that i need to wait tht long with tht teeth like that read more

My son desperately needs 3 teeth extracted. He has had bad experiences with dentists. This place wants him to pay $2384.00 before they do anything. Wait what about the insurance? He's only 25. They are in the business of making money. They made an error on which tooth I was to have extracted and they highly recommended that I use anesthesia at a whopping cost of $671 (insurance did not cover.) I went to another excellent oral surgeon and he pulled the correct tooth in five minutes for $93.00. This oral surgeon was in the patient business - not the money making - upselling - overcharging patients. I would recommend that you get a second opinion before you give your money away. read more

Several people that I know, both family and close friends have had bad experience there - from uncaring staff to issues with dry sockets and several return visits when concerns were not taken seriously. It is time for the next one in my family to have wisdom teeth removed. Our dentist tried to send us to St. Luke's. Absolutely not! We will find somewhere else to go. I had a great experience here. The staff and doctor were wonderful. I loved that at the time of the consultation they gave me an estimate for what I would owe for my surgeries. They contacted my insurance company and everything! There were no surprise bills after all was said and done. The surgery went really well too. I have always been terrified of dental offices and the doctor made me feel so comfortable. I couldn't believe the surgery was done when I woke up! The staff made sure we had all of the after care instructions, and answered all my questions regarding home care. I came back for the implant a few months down the road. This procedure was even easier than the extraction. I was just numbed for this, and it was so easy I went back to work afterwards! My dentist put the crown on a few months later and I have to say I am soooo thrilled with the result! I had such a great experience and I am really thankful I came here. I really recommend this office to anyone looking for a great oral surgeon. read more

My experience with this office was very unfortunate. The office staff gave me a hard time about insurance coverage for the procedure,of which I had. However, if I did not have any coverage I would have just paid out of pocket, as it is common for insurance to charge a fortune and cover very little. I certainly did not need to be spoken to as though I was not going to be able to have the procedure for my daughter because insurance wasn't covering it 100%. Then, the doctor became visibly annoyed with me for asking questions about the surgery my daughter was about to undergo. It is unfortunate that health care is now just big business and there is no compassion. The procedures were performed and afterwards I found out one of the procedures was not necessary. If they had taken the time to reexamine her again, since significant time had elapsed from the orginal consult to the procedure date, I would not have paid for uncessary surgery and my daughter would not have endured the discomfort and pain from an unnecessary procedure. But hey, as long as everyone got their money, all is good in the American health care system. read more
