This really was not relaxing per say. They play a local radio station on the overhead speakers and they can be heard in every room. I got a facial done. This wasn't a calm, moody quiet room. It was like a drs office with fluorescent lights beaming in your face. My esthetician, though very nice, smelled like cigarette smoke. The table I laid on was rickety and made me feel like it was going to fall over. I would maybe try this place again for a pedicure? But not a facial or massage. read more

I had ONE laser removal session for 2 small wrist tattoos done. I was really concerned about infection because of how deep some of the spots were and how everything looked. As it was nearing time where l might be needing to transition from Bactine to lotion, l asked if Jenn would run out to the waiting room for LITERALLY 30 seconds, between patients, to take a quick look and tell me....Bactine or lotion. She refused and made me schedule an appointment for the next afternoon. 30 seconds, literally.....to make a new patient feel comfortable in her healing process. She assured me a different time that all the deep ugly scabbing was normal. I wish l could post pictures. This is not normal. I've been told laser removal "might" leave scarring. Okay but after ONE session? And on the smallest least complicated one, ta boot. That's where the worst scarring is. Not a happy camper. read more

My daughter called and made an appointment for a mother/daughter spa day. She drove down from Iowa for this. Much to our disappointment they scheduled it so that my daughter went first and I was expected to wait for three hours and then I was supposed to 'enjoy' the day while she waited for 3 hours. I'm not sure how this seemed reasonable to the person who took the phone call and made the appointments. We assumed we would be set up with different people. We had requested a number of different services. I am most upset because my daughter was so disappointed because she wanted a mother's day mother/daughter pampering day. I won't be back. read more

I love this gem of a spa in the heart of Oakville and you will too! This spa offers a relaxed atmosphere, with knowledgeable and helpful staff. I'm a client of both Lindsay F. and the owner Jenn, who are both amazing! I could literally go on and on about how fabulous this spa is, so I will just shut up and tell you to go there yourself to check it out!! I have to respond to the negative review in regards to the customer being unhappy with her chemical peel. After reading her review, I can only assume she has never received a chemical peel before. A chemical peel does just that, it peels layers of your skin off. Common sense would dictate that you would exercise extreme caution by not exposing that "peeled" fresh skin to the sun, especially if the purpose of said peel was to remove hyper pigmentation, which was caused by sun damage in the first place. But, I digress, before any services are rendered at St. Louis Spa, I have always been given an after care/instruction sheet for whatever service was rendered. I don't understand giving a poor Yelp review when you were in fact happy with your service. And based on the communication presented by the spa, it appears that the negative review is completely baseless. read more

I've been getting my lashes done for almost a year. The staff has always been courteous and professional. The facility is clean and the atmosphere is accommodating. With any procedure that you have done, especially something like a chemical peel, you should do your research before hand. Only you know what your day to day requires of you. Schedule a consultation to ask the appropriate questions you need to ask your technician. This will help you decide whether or not chemical peel will disrupt your schedule. read more

St Louis Spa is my favorite spa in the area and is a haven of relaxation. I've had facials, peels, pedicures, massage therapy and hair blow outs and have always been thrilled with the results. I had terrible acne at one point, and the facials toned down the redness and helped to heal my skin. This spa has it all! Great location, lots of parking, easy to find. They do all kinds of services from massage, pedicures & manicures, facials, chemical peels, and hair cut & color. I became quite the regular before my wedding. All the staff members are very friendly. The owner Jenn is enthusiastic and very knowledgeable. She is a total beauty guru! I would basically book appointments for facials and she would decide what was best for me. My skin looked so much better ! I wish i had found her sooner! I also got a gel manicure for the wedding as well as a pedicure- it seriously lasted nearly a month. I already have my next appointment booked :) read more

I am not one to typically write reviews, especially a bad one but this one I felt was needed. From beginning to end of this visit was not good. I feel like when you go to a spa you should be greeted by smiling staff, offered a water and feel welcomed. That DID NOT happen. The place did not feel like a spa at all. The receptionist seemed annoyed I showed up and didn't greet me at all. Gave me papers to fill out and that was it. During the massage I could hear laughter and carrying on which she tried to drown out by an amazon echo which was on high volume and it was the same sound the entire 90 minutes which sounded like rain in a bucket. My massage therapist talked to me the WHOLE time which made it really hard to relax. The beds pillow was so worn I felt like my head was resting on a metal bar. I literally woke up this morning with a deep bruise on my forehead that is indented. I was looking forward to a relaxing massage and ended up with a horrible experience. I've been to many spas and have never had an experience like this. read more

I wish I could give this place negative stars. My girlfriend had come here several times before for haircuts, hair dying, facials, and massage and she seemed to like them so I bought her a gift certificate for our anniversary. She had an appointment with someone named Monica for a fasciae and massage. She had not seen her before. My girlfriend said the Monica was rude from the start. She didn't greet her and just told her to get undressed and she would be back. During the massage she complained about how she was tired from the other clients she had seen that day. My girlfriend said that the massage was awful and just like she was barely touching her with her finger tips. Monica continued to complain the whole appointment. At the end, apparently left the room saying something about she glad her work day was done and to get dressed quickly and come out. She usually had been walked up front after a service and was told "bye, let yourself out" with no thank you, come again, etc. my girlfriend still has money left on her gift card and said she won't go back due to Monica. What a disappointment. read more

I made a appt to get my brows microbladed by Jenn. First of all, it was so painful I could hardly stand it and after it was over I left, did everything I was suppose to do for after care and one brow got infected. I called and the receptionist said Jenn was out of town but to keep it moisturized and to come in the spa if I wanted when she got back for her to look at it which was about a week later after my phone call. The brows are horrible. Nothing like I told her I wanted. I even showed her a picture. I would like a refund for this because it is not good work and its not what I thought I was going to get. I've had 3 professionals in the same line of business ask me "Who did that"? My physician told me not to go back to that place of business because of the infection and lack of care I received when I called to let them know I had a problem. The brows are crooked, they look like very dark blocks, which end in a straight line. No hair like strokes at all. Imagine Uncle Leo on Seinfeld. It looks like she used a Sharpie. I have to wear my glasses to cover them up until I can get them fix by a reputable place. She offered to fix them. But if she can't do it right the first time why would I trust her to "fix" them. Please.... do not go to Jenn for micoblading she will mess your face up. BTW I'm about 5 weeks out and they haven't changed in looks since I had them done. I also told her 2 or 3 times when she was finished that I didn't like the way the one eyebrow looked and she insisted that it looked fine. I was tired of explaining myself and getting no where. read more

My last visit was for hair color. The stylist first took the time to listen to what I wanted and then gave me her opinion based on her experience and knowledge. She spent a lot of time making sure that not only did my hair look good but that I felt good about it. It was the best color with highlights I had ever had. read more

I made an appt for a chemical peel with the spa, looking forward to a renewed feel for a face that had quite a few sun spots from years in the sun. I have to tell you all that it very much worked and I am very happy with the results. What was dissapointing was that no one told me I could not be seen for 10 days as my face became one giant scab. No written instructions for care. Two small samples of a skin cream that were used up in just 2 days. No personal follow up like "how are you?". It was one of the worst decisions I have ever made. I am an adventurous person but without warning being stuck in the house without a warning was irresponsible. No one asked me if I worked, if I had responsibilities for anyone outside the home. I was told not to go out in the sun. The staff was very professional in the process but not in follow up. Not even an email. My husband couldn't even look at me. It was humiliating.i have olive skin and dont burn when I'm in the sun so it isn't that I have light pigmentation. Again, the results were very good so I hope their follow up improves and their communication and caring gets better through this critique. The response to this posting has been "why didn't you tell us". My response is why didn't you call and ask how I was doing. I was experiencing regret and embarassment for my choice. read more
