Schuncks has blown me away with their safety protocols since the pandemic began. They are taking…read moreevery precaution to keep their customers and employees safe. They were one of the first stores around to place Plexiglas shields at the registers, mark 6 ft spots near the registers, offer hand sanitizer, host a senior hour and time for those with compromised immune systems, and promote mask wearing. One amazing option Schnucks offers shoppers since March of 2020 is to order groceries through Instacart (with no Instacart Fee) for drive up pick up. There are designated spots right outside the store for these orders. While the shopper is filling the order you can chat in the App and request other items. The Schnucks employees bring your order out to your car wearing a mask and place it in the trunk. The fresh produce and other grocery items I have gotten here all have been excellent quality. I shop at Schnucks much more frequently now. The Woods Mill Road Store employees are outstanding. I will return soon.

Tip: I usually use their inside perk options for this time of the year, curbside pickup for my heavy items and full list of items I need and scan and go to avoid all the hustle and bustle of checkout for my small to medium items. A time changer for sure.

My cat Geronimo has been sick and the compounded meds they've provided have saved his life! Every month the med might need to be changed, and even on short notice after getting test results they've dug in and figured it out for us. If it weren't an hour from me I would get all of our meds here! It's hard to find a good compounding pharmacy these days, and they provide selection and value beyond that of any other pharmacy out there.

I'm a new patient, I don't know how any of this works, and one employee hung up on me when I was trying to ask a question. When I called the number back, it went to a voice mailbox that wasn't set up. I had to get a different number from Google and I was on hold for 20 minutes. When I finally got in contact with someone, I asked for the owner and was put on hold again. When I told the owner that I had had a terrible time with his employees and that nobody seemed to care, he put me on hold for 8 and 1/2 minutes. After I told him that I was in a depressive episode with suicidal ideation. He left me for 8 and 1/2 minutes... I just want my depression medication. They just want my money and they want no responsibility. This location does not care. If you are a human being looking to be treated as such, please avoid this location. They are awful.

Fun times at Jennifer's!…read more Not only is it a girlie haven in terms of fabulous little party gifts and cutesy birthday ideas, books, things with feathers on it and any sort of frou-frou thing you can imagine, but it's also a great pharmacy specializing in natural/homeopathic products. AND it's got a fairly new soda fountain. Apparently, the owner always dreamt of running her own fountaing and I think purchased one on Ebay. It really adds to the originality of the place. It's just an all-around fun place to visit. They expanded not long ago, so there's even more stuff from which to choose. I like their large selection of liquid stevia and teas. They actually have some stuff you can't find at Whole Foods. Imagine that! AND you're supporting a locally owned business. Always a good thing!

Hey, an unexpected treat for lunch in Clayton! Jennifer's Pharmacy (and soda/lunch counter) was a…read morefun place for lunch, and the grub was pretty decent, too. There is an actual pharmacy at the back of the store, although I never actually got back that far. i was far too enthralled by all the kitschy gifts and just generally fun stuff they had for sale in the store. Just all kinds of goofiness. Great time for browsing/shopping. The soda/food bar was a real throwback. You just sit on one of the '50s time warp bar stools and place your order. I got me a chili dog, a Festivus for the Restivus ice cream soda (more on that later), and then the waitresses talked me into a slice of chocolate meringue - yeah, you heard me right - pie. The chili dog "prep" area is pretty unassuming, a simple hot dog roller and a couple of crock pots. But hey, home made chili fixin's sure beat from a can. And they asked me if I wanted cheese and onions, so I was able to say yes but light on the onion. That's how it came, too. The chili dog was pretty good. Standard dog, but seemed to be a larger variety. Chili was definitely home made, with a nice variety of ingredients. Just a bit bland, though. The Festivus for the Restivus ice cream soda was from a list of 5 Holiday Specials they had for shakes and ice cream sodas. Festivus is made of blueberry and blackberry syrups in seltzer with ice cream. I know the name has nothing to do with the ingredients, but it was still mighty tasty. An authentic soda jerk drink, that you just don't find anymore. Now they intrigued me with the suggestion of chocolate meringue pie for dessert. I was already full, but....anyway, my slice was the first one from the pie that had just come out of the oven. Nice thing about meringue, you can slice it while it is still hot. So I get this pie slice with a real crust, hot chocolate filling, and 3 inches of meringue. Who'd a thought those flavors would mix so well. They do! A final thought on the waitresses. They were a hoot. Very friendly, talkative, fun, don't mind kidding you - and they even took a picture of me and my pie slice & put it on the store's Facebook page (with my permission, of course). So the food was pretty good, the place is great to browse, and the experience was enjoyable.
