Staff is very family friendly and they care about the children. They even encouraged me to start potty training my daughter when I thought it may have been too soon. And they were absolutely right, my daughter was SO ready! Another plus is the decent tuition which includes lunch and snacks. Breakfast is also included if you choose to add the morning care. My daughter also completed pre-k 3 in the center and learned a ton and was ahead of the others academically when she entered pre-k 4 in the public school system. Everyday a communication sheet is sent home, and is filled out both by the parents and teacher. The school also has a lot of activities that involve the children after school. Breakfast with Santa, International Night, and a Grandparents breakfast to name a few. All these events are excellent! I love that the school is also very family oriented! It's a wonderful place for my daughter to make friendships that hopefully can last a lifetime. She is receiving an excellent education, while she's also taught to be a good person.

It is a small place and parking can sometimes be a pain because of its proximity to the grammar school. They do offer after school care to the area schools.

The small class size allows for very individualized attention. He is (like many of the students) an uneven learner. He reads and does math way above grade level, but needs help with writing and expressive language (but some children have more typical learning difficulties). Each family is assigned a social worker to meet with on a regular basis, and the social workers also go into the classrooms to work on social skills through "friendship" and "games" groups. There is a "black & white" notebook that goes back and forth every day, providing a means of valuable communication between the teachers and parents. He has met some great friends here, and there is a warm parent community. We can speak freely with each other about our children's "issues" - we're all in this together! So happy we found this little gem of a school! P.S. The Parents' Association hosts a wonderful lecture series on a variety of topics, mostly concerning special needs children.
