You can find Tony's pizza at Maggie's Farm Distillery for Friday happy hour 4-6 pm (or until sell out) where he features specialty pizza by the slice. One slice is equivalent to two square slices. There is always a vegan, vegetarian, and pepperoni option, plus two specialty pizzas rotate weekly. Some of our favorites were the gyro pizza, margherita with smoked mozzarella, pulled bbq jackfruit with red onions and smoked mozzarella, meatloaf pizza, and more. The pizza is stacked high with toppings. The slices range from $5-$6 dollars and are heated up and delivered to your table quickly. My boyfriend, family, and I have become regulars at Maggie's, and look forward to this pizza every week. I probably wouldn't have gone to Thunderbird specifically for BBQ since I am pescatarian, but now that I found this great pizza I want to try more from Black Sheep BBQ (specifically the fried smoked mozzarella balls). Get to happy hour early especially if you want a slice of the specialty pizza. Special thanks to Tony for setting a slice of zucchini pizza aside for me last week when I was late to happy hour. :)

We did pulled pork, Cajun chicken, macaroni salad, and coleslaw. I really enjoyed the pulled pork. We got three different sauces to try with it as well. I was highly disappointed with my experience trying to arrange catering with this company. I am not…read morethe only one from the other reviews. Should have read them before I called. It would have saved me the headache. I was actually recommended to them by several people who have eaten their food, so I reached out hoping to have them cater a 30th birthday celebration. Unfortunately, the experience I had when I called completely changed my opinion. I had questions about pricing, how the catering process works, and what options were available. Instead of taking a few minutes to actually discuss it with me, the person I spoke with repeatedly told me to "look on our website." Yes, obviously I can look at the website. That's not why I called. I called because I wanted to speak with someone, ask questions, understand how the catering works, and make arrangements for an event. I shouldn't have to chase down basic information or feel like I'm inconveniencing someone simply because I'm trying to give the company my business. The interaction was extremely unhelpful and honestly left me wondering how difficult it would be to actually coordinate an entire catered event if getting basic questions answered was already this frustrating. You lost a customer today. And that's especially disappointing because I was referred to you by people who genuinely enjoy your food. Hospitality is about more than the food. It's about how you treat people, especially when they're calling because they want to spend their money with you. If answering customers' questions and helping them through the process is too much, then perhaps catering--and hospitality in general--isn't the right business to be in. I was excited to give this company my business. After this experience, I will be taking it elsewhere.

For Valentine's Day this year, because we're stuck at home with this Pandemic, we ordered a special…read moreTO GO meal through the Allegheny Wine Mixer that included food prepared by Kate Romane's BRK. The meal kit came with super fun and easy to follow instructions for reheating everything. For $75, we got an antipasto snack box with cured meats and olives/pepperoncini and a small focaccia loaf with gorgonzola spread that was out of this world. I could literally eat a tub of that spread. We opened the Chianti bottle that came with the meal too and it was great with the appetizers. The box also came with these incredible garlic sage smashed beans that ate more like a fabulous over the top bean soup. Wish we had some more of that focaccia loaf to sop that up. The mixed green salad came with a light flavorful lemon dressing and I have to say I was super impressed with how FRESH the lettuce and radicchio was - it was like a bite of summer in the middle of this harsh Pittsburgh Winter we find ourselves in. The main entrée was a tray of sublime ricotta ravioli in pecorino rosemary cream sauce that, after reheating, created some crispy top layer raviolis and simmered, tender, bottom layer raviolis. It was so unbelievably good and filling! But wait, there's more! We also got a huge tub of Italian Sunday Sauce and six large meatballs that we heated in a pan. The sauce came with pieces of pepperoni and huge chunks of whole garlic floating in it. The sauce is a little on the sweeter side but it really paired so well with this savory ravioli. Dessert was this perfectly sized piece of cheesecake with fresh raspberries and blackberries. Absolutely delicious! We just loved this whole meal. It was such a welcome treat and we appreciated the finer details of the preparation and the courses. We will definitely be keeping an eye out for future offerings from BRK.

It's a hip, post industrial large room that serves for elegant dining. She has a cadre of loyal employees that have worked with her for many years, some go back at least as far as her celebrated E2 restaurant in Highland Park. They are well trained and graciously welcoming. The food is wonderful, and the formula is always locally sourced fresh ingredients. Great salads, stunning entrees, and lots of great accompaniments, such as olives, fresh veggies, and breads. Italian/Mediterranean Cuisine is her go-to style of cooking, but I feel she does everything well. So don't forget about her event space, it's for groups of 25 or more. I forgot to mention her stunning desserts. Last night she served a delicious Pot de Creme that was both gourmet and very satisfying. It doesn't get any better than this.

Since I work for an Oil & Gas Company I had the pleasure of experiencing one of the catered lunches. Our lunch was scheduled to be ready by 11:30 to Noon, normal office lunch timeframe. The Staff & Amelia herself arrived early with all of the food, tablecloths, decorations (yes, I said decorations), paper products, utensils, etc. They prepared the complete set-up, which was beautiful, and had everything ready right on time. The foods offered at this luncheon were Caprese Skewers, Fresh Rolls, Coleslaw, Baked Beans, Pork Ribs, desserts, and soda beverages. I thought everything tasted really fresh, the serving temperature was good, and the amount of food was plentiful. You can tell they take great care & pride in what they put out.
