I was just a guest at a wedding reception, and I had the hors-d'oeuvres and supper. I LOVED the roasted vegetables most. I have a very hard time liking food enough to eat at all, and I went back for different selections once I found I could actually enjoy everything! That's a really big deal to me. The supper was roast beef and chicken and mashed potatoes and pasta plus the salad/hors-d'oeuvres table. Open bar (although servers didn't know how to make mixed drinks and had to keep referring to the menu, then asked the guests if they were "right!") and lovely servers all around, even giving me special help for a few different reasons. We ordered 100 servings of beef tips with gravy and mushrooms. The beef tips with gravy were very, very tender and extremely flavorful. They were my absolute favorite and our guests were raving about how tasty the dish was. We also ordered 100 servings of Parmesan crusted chicken. Unfortunately, I did not get a chance to try to Parmesan crusted chicken but some of our guests stated that they enjoyed that as well. They delivered the food at our request and set it up in our catering dishes. They do offer full service as well and supplies. Remo's catered a party in our home and we chose the pig roast. They were helpful in making menu adjustments, communicating with me and everything was super easy. Rich came to the house for the part, did the set up and absolutely delighted my 84-year-old aunt by talking with her, giving her some of the best cuts of the pig and ensuring she had everything she needed. The food was delicious, the set up was professional and efficient and Rich was stellar. The pig was an actual pig which made for great pictures and a fun experience for everyone (except the pig). I often use Porky's (Stephen's Kitchen) because they are very close and they are cheaper. But my experience with the friendliness of Remo's makes the cost difference worth it. And Remo's tends to have more availability than Porky's/Stephen's Kitchen. I highly recommend Remo's! read more

Wow, amazing service from Remo's, especially when I was in a tough spot. Carmi's couldn't handle my event, but Remo's stepped up on late notice and catered my event. My husband and I originally engaged with Remo's in winter 2019-2020 for the catering for our wedding. The tasting was a lovely experience, the food was delicious. They even set us up with a local vendor for table cloths and linens. Then the unavoidable happened and the wedding had to be indefinitely delayed due to COVID - beyond everyone's control. Larry and his team honored our deposit and continued to engage with us for FOUR YEARS...on and off when the opportunity to reschedule came up, they were willing to adjust the menu as needed. We no longer needed the fully catered menu and experience but they worked with me to satisfy the deposit on hand and prepared us the most beautiful and delicious dish for another event. Eventually we plan to have a vow renewal and we will most certainly return to Remo's to cater again. read more

I never had catering from this establishment but stopped by recently to get some BBQ. They have an outside area where you can get BBQ brisket, pork and corn. I got a pound of Brisket to go. The brisket was very good and cooked perfect. Also, Remos prices are better than all other BBQ places in the area. The pickup area is a little tight but manageable. read more

Highly recommend this caterer. They are very kind and flexible. I was a 2020 bride who had to cancel her wedding. We had already paid a large deposit for our wedding catering. Many of our other vendors did not honor the money we put down or wouldn't give us a refund due to hardships their businesses faced during the pandemic. Remos was the opposite. They honored our deposit 3 years after the fact and all the food we ever ordered has been delicious. Today for our daughters baptism we got a tray of chicken Marsala and chicken Romano. The food was delicious and they took so much pressure off with dressing the tables, setting out and serving the food, packaging up leftovers, and cleaning everything up in the kitchen. Their arrangements with making payments as the date approaches is helpful with the wedding budget as some things need to be paid immediately and in total. The linens were gorgeous, although the order was not fulfilled correctly when I picked them up. Remo's staff were very obliging and picked up and delivered the missing linens promptly. The table settings were beautiful, with our choice of napkin colors. The premium plasticware place settings were lovely. The coffee service was good. Best of all - all the food was excellent! (our entrees were bourbon-glazed salmon over rice, and cheese stuffed shells; sides were mixed veggies, parsley potatoes and green tossed salad; rolls.) The catering staff on site were WONDERFUL to work with - professional, clean, accommodating, prompt to refill dishes, ample number of staff, and were really nice people. 1.10 star. Hired them for an important family event. Met with 1 catering manager a number of weeks before the event. That lady confirmed that she would be the on site manager at the time. Met with them a few times in a few weeks time. During that time the on site catering manager changed 2 times. Had to meet and review the plan with each of them. Then by the event date at the last minute they switched it up on me again and said this other lady, who I have never met before would be my on site manager. Remo's also confirmed that we were the only party booked on that day so they could put their full attention on my event. On my event day they showed up 1.5 hours late. The guest of honor had to start their part of the event late because Remo showed up 1.5 hours late to the site to set up catering. When I phoned them to find out where they were and why they were not on site yet the man that answered the phone got "smart mouth" and sarcastic with me. Mocking me. Me the person who hired them. *Nice! They made several family members distraught with their timing........ Come to find out that they had another event earlier that morning. So they were not giving me the priority that they said they were going to do. The meat was very hard to chew. The sauce was good. The price was sensible. I guess if you had an event and needed them to make a couple of small items for you....you could give the dice a roll. This is sad. Hopefully they have improved since I hired them to do an event.
