    A great place to hold a wedding in the heart of St Augustine…read more The Lightner Museum is located in the heart of historic St Augustine, the oldest city in the United States founded in 1565 by Don Pedro Menendez De Aviles of Spain. We recently attended a wedding that was held at this location and were very impressed by the venue and the staff. The chapel is intimate, with about 6 benches on one side and 9 benches on the other. A beautiful stained glass window on the front of the church provides a beautiful backdrop for your special occasion. Parking is accomplished by street parking or nearby parking lots. The bride was provided with a changing room for use upstairs. It was air-conditioned with a couch, chairs, and 3 large makeup mirrors for the bride and her ladies. It overlooked the courtyard with access controlled by the staff. They have a pretty busy schedule, often handling several weddings in a day. Our party had the chapel for several hours and private access to the courtyard for over an hour for wedding pictures. Overall, it was a great place to hold a beautiful wedding with wonderful, supportive staff and a beautiful backdrop.

I did not hire a wedding planner and Megan would send me "monthly checklists" so that I stayed on track and helped answer any questions I had in the planning process/vendor recommendations. She met with us about a month before to go through the final walk through at the venue and ensured everything ran smoothly on the day of! She made sure all vendors were there and were providing the services listed in our contracts, ensured all decor was properly placed and overall just made the day amazing! MEGAN IS A ROCKSTAR!!!

I was engaged for a little over a year and within that year, my husband and I truly felt like we had a good friend on our side planning our big day. Francesca took in everything i envisioned and made it a reality all staying within my budget. She suggested vendors that fit US and OUR style, not just people she liked. She told us how I could make "X" happen realistically and cost effectively rather than just letting me spend thousands of dollars on something I found on Pinterest (LOL). Most importantly, she made our wedding day the best day of our lives. If anything went wrong, we had no idea. She made sure we had a drink in our hands at all times. She made sure we ate. She made sure my dad didnt have all of the desserts before dinner even started. She made the venue look better than I could have ever envisioned and lead our team of vendors to perfection. We love The Eventful Gals and always say she is the best money we spent in the entire process.

    This company ripped me off $300; owners are the amateur hour at best…read more ~ I was taken on as a client by Francesca, who neglected to tell me that she was knowingly going to be gone for an entire 2 months leading up to the week of my wedding. That is when she pawned us off to another coordinator. ~ They did not have my best interest at heart when it came to vendor pricing. Francesca got "ONE" quote from LUXE rentals which were the highest prices compared to other vendors I reached out to. When I told Francesca that I thought the price was high her response was "That's the going rate". I ended up having to do the leg work and book a vendor myself. ~ I specifically hired Francesca because I am in CA and my wedding is in St. Aug. FL. I needed someone to design & coordinate decor as well as direct the set up and tear down at the venue. During our free consultation I told Francesca I didn't want flowers as centerpieces. The ONE and only idea Francesca sent me for a centerpiece was with flowers to which she attached an invoice from the florist. ~ She was unresponsive after we pointed out that the only decor idea she provided us was the one thing we stated we did not want. ~ I was the one that kept having to initiate the conversation with Francesca because I wasn't getting any input on decor. ~ I asked about decor for the food stations and in so many words she told me that's not her job and I should talk to the caterer. ~ I politely asked them to please return any unused portion of my deposit to which they were very unprofessional (immediately trying to play the lawyer card) and claimed what they had done so far would bill well over my deposit amount. - Once I rebutted their rude and condescending response to my cancellation request with actual verbiage from our contract and email exerts, they have completely disappeared. - My Fiance (Career Military) and I (Corporate HR) are convinced that they are completely out of touch with professional expectations.

I planned my sister's baby shower from out of state and was having so much trouble finding a venue with AC in August - who would have thought this could be an issue in Florida? I didn't look at MMM originally since it was a baby shower not a wedding and felt the price and target demographic would likely not align with what we were looking for, but finally ended up looking at the Instagram out of desperation to see if the space could possibly work for our needs, and it was PERFECT. Honestly the pictures and videos don't even do it justice. Everyone who attended raved about how beautiful the space was. Bridgette went above and beyond to make the process as simple as possible for me and as beautiful for my sister.. adding so many amazing details along the way without being asked - flowers inside of ice cubes in the mimosa bin, wooden hearts for attendees to sign for a guest book, etc - these amazing gestures were greatly appreciated. She even provided linens, plates, decor, as well as vendor recommendations for the very few things she didn't have. She also coordinated my rental and included everything in one invoice. This is hands down one of the best private events spaces in Gainesville! One of the attendees even said she would like to host one of her upcoming showers there.

    We hired Elegant Events to officiate our wedding, and boy were we happy we did! As two woman…read moregetting married in the state of Florida, we weren't really sure how the process of getting an officiant would go. We were referred to Elegant Events by one of our other vendors, and Betty immediately answered all of our questions and was very responsive to our emails. We hired Allen to be our officiant, and he did a wonderful job!! He was so sweet and really was exactly what we were looking for to find in the person that would be standing up there with us as we said our "I Do's" :) In hindsight, as we just received our pictures back last night and noticed this, the only thing I wish was different was that both our names were spelled wrong on the binder that Allen read off of. So now in all of our photos at the alter you see "Kaitlin & Brandy" instead of "Katelin & Brandi." During the Ceremony, Allen accidently said "Candy" instead of "Brandi", but that was humorous and we all laughed so if anything it was nice because it helped calm our nerves, but this is something a little more permanent as it is in a lot of our important pictures (especially zoomed in ones of our hands when we are putting on rings). I am sure this was an oversight, and in the grand scheme of things is pretty minor, but I wish there was a little more attention paid to this detail on their parts. Didn't ruin the wedding or photos (not everything can go right in a wedding), but just something that I would recommend to other brides to check for so it doesn't happen in your wedding as well. Other than that, we truly did have a great experience with Elegant Events, and if we had to go back and choose an officiant all over, Allen would definitely be the one that we pick :) Thanks Betty and Allen for helping to make our day special!
