We thought things were going great there until about one year into it, we were told that our son was not progressing and that they recommended we look into other schools with smaller student:teacher ratios. My wife ended up finding a couple of options, and we landed on Grace Lutheran as the best spot. Our time here was only about four months, but we really loved it. We only ended up leaving because our son was enrolled in full-time ABA therapy. But if not for that, we absolutely would have kept him here until he started Kindergarten. Every staff member we ever dealt with was incredibly friendly and seemed like they genuinely enjoyed their job. And make no mistake, it is no easy job. Dealing with my own kid's issues is hard enough, I cannot imagine having to deal with several of them every day. These people are true saints. If I could change anything about Grace Lutheran, there are really only two things, but both are minor: 1) The first school we went to provided lunch, but Grace Lutheran did not. At first, I thought this would be a pretty major issue, but it really wasn't that big of a deal to send our son to school with a packed lunch. But if I had my choice, I would have preferred the school to make lunch. 2) They rarely uploaded photos of the kids at school. The first daycare we ever sent him to in Tampa would upload 10-20 photos a day, but most of them were blurry and near duplicates of other photos. That was excessive and pointless. But at Grace Lutheran, the might only upload one photo a month. A middle ground would be ideal, just to see the kids in action. But again, I understand the hectic nature of just keeping the kids out of trouble and that it's probably not easy to find time to take pictures. Overall, this is an excellent place to take your kiddo. If we could go back in time, we would have sent him here from day one!

So I was sooo happy with how friendly the whole staff is at Primrose. They are so great with answering any questions and I can always get ahold of them at the first try. The teachers are so patient with my daughter. My daughter loves to go to school and it reassures me that she's being well taken care of. She also enjoys learning. I also like that we get updates with pictures and video throughout the day.

The teach kids good manners, independent eating, cleaning up, songs, literacy and art. We also love the food there, probably the healthiest and most balanced menu out there. And even if one have any concerns, the staff listens and helps to the best of their abilities. Highly recommend!

I do not believe she speaks on the behalf of her staff, but unfortunately at the foothold of your facility and as the main decision-maker, you made your staff look really bad... just saying. I'm not sure why Amber felt personally victimized by my email, I only tried to explain how my children were feeling about this situation and just looking for a simple response or solution so that they could stay comfortably at this facility ( that we REALLY loved-- teachers, curriculum and friends we have made) and still get to play with their friends... I did NOT expect to be confronted about how "many of (the) teachers will not work with (my) children at this point as they feel uncomfortable with the false accusations being told to (me)". First of all, I am APPALLED. Did she basically just tell me that no one likes my kids? Second of all, did she just COMPLETELY dismiss my children and their VERY valid feelings? Thirdly, I am offended that someone I have only ever met a HANDFUL of times is talking to me so condescendingly? It really makes me wonder who she would believe in a MUCH more serious situation. I will say it again, I had no intentions of leaving this facility until today. If she would have simply told me that she would prefer to not switch teachers I would have told my kids "tough luck, you can have play dates with your friends..." because I never promised my kids that Amber would oblige...but now we're saying goodbye to staff and friends we have been with for over a year. I was naive and felt like I had to make sure you weren't upset with us when I voiced a concern. I felt like I constantly had to reassure you that we appreciate your school because you would write back lengthy emotional emails when we would simply ask about something our child said happened. My husband even called a meeting with you to address this with you last year, and ask you to stop threatening us to leave each time we asked about a concern. Yes we were very happy with the Grove and Ms Claudia and Ms Eddy, until the pattern of failure to address the misbehavior became undeniable and my child was choked in Ms Marisol's class and left with a bruise and scratches. The more that happened and wasn't addressed, the more displeased we became. The first year at the grove was amazing, and MsEddy and Ms Claudia treated our first son with respect and guidance and he loved it. He loved it until the school continued to fail to address this other child containing to hurt and threaten my child's safety. ALL of which were acknowledged by you (once I asked what happened) and then minimized. Maybe your teachers need more support and staff to help supervise the classrooms, which have different spaces and are not open concept. The students cannot all be supervised by 1 teacher while the other one is preparing snack or changing diapers. What I asked of the school before you terminated us, was to evaluate this other child's disruption to the classroom. Our request was to know what actions happen when a child continues to cause bodily harm to another. Your response was that these are norm behaviors of children, which I disagree with completely. It is not normal for the same Child over the course of 1.5 years to touch my child's penis, bite him, push and pull him, grab toys from him daily, and eventually choke him and leave scratches. The word expulsion never came out in any of my emails with the school so before you call my facts libelous, please check yours. Your handbook that states an "open door policy" is not honored by you. In an email in January 2021 after we asked to do a visit to meet Ms Nayely since she was new you stated "Unfortunately, we do not plan to have parent classroom observations. They disrupt the routine and send the message that there is a lack of trust between home and school. Having been here since last year, I assume you are very comfortable with Ms. Eddy's leadership in the Toddler classroom and have full faith in her ability to guide her students and mentor her new assistant. I welcome and appreciate parent feedback, but I feel it is my responsibility to observe the classrooms and make necessary changes based on the information provided." Clearly you don't observe well enough if you cannot take actions to ensure proper supervision of the younger classrooms.

Key things that are a bare minimum for me as a first time mom in a child care facility is that my child is safe and cared for properly. What I got was way more than I can imagine. My child is LOVED by her teachers, cared for by all staff members, and she is thriving! When she started, she had a difficult time adjusting. I watched her teachers Ms. Megan, Ms. Cecile, Ms. Teresa put in EFFORT & TIME to help her adjust, make her feel safe to where now she runs off without a care in the world. There are no words to describe the amount of gratitude I have for that type of love and care. As she moved up in her Toddler class, I watched Ms. Madison, Ms. Genieve, Ms. Alyssa, teach my daughter songs, manners, show her such love. Such love that she tells them she loves them as she leaves their class and talks about them at home. These are examples of how great the teachers there are! Make no mistake that no preschool is perfect and there can/will be issues, but anytime I have a concern, I am welcome the opportunity to discuss and and it is addressed. I explained with management that it is important that we work together because we view this as a partnership since VRA plays a key role in my child's life. Working with Brian, Jane, Elaine on expectations have been great and again we are honestly thrilled to have found VRA. This review is long overdue, but the peace of mind, love, and care that the staff at VRA have provided my family and my child is priceless. And for that, we thank you!
