In my son's rooms there was constant turn over. He started there at 8 months and we left right…read morebefore his 2nd birthday. Just when we would get use to a teacher they would be gone. But there were times that every two weeks there were different teachers in the room. One lasted 1 day because the state came and did a background check on the employees and for some reason this new girl was released that day! The last straw was when he was moved up with his friends to the next classroom. I was nervous about this change because he finally had 2 teachers that lasted a month! But I was promised (by the director) the teacher had been there for a long time and was great. So we were hopeful. So in the new class room we were not there long at all, when an accident happened and...it is now 6 months from when it happened and he still has a scar. The kids were playing outside and when they lined up to go in, they said he ran off, tripped and his face went into the iron fence and his teeth through his lip and into a board as he landed face down on the ground. If you know my child (who is not perfect but very shy) this is not his nature! I asked the lead teacher what happened and she flippantly says she doesn't know....HE was covered in blood and she does not know! I was in shock, grabbed my child and left! The next day I go to see the director who was not there when this happened and she tells me that the lead teacher didn't show up to work and quit...that screams something is wrong! She then calls in the other teacher (another new hire) what happened and the above story is what I got. She said she was busy with another student but saw it happen. I ask her what she is going to do to ensure my childs safety (as he has also been bitten in the new class just the day before....deep bite through a sweater and his skin was broken on his back) and again, I am given the speech to give them more time.....NO I was done! I was calm, over and over again as he was bitten (skin broken) because new teachers were not keeping kids engaged. I believe when we left, the number of times he was bitten was 8 and he didn't bite back. The teacher told me they had a kid who loved to bite, but there was not a bite policy in place other than they would talk to the parents. And the teacher in the classroom told me that child was a problem as he bit 3 kids on the last day we were there. The several times I did drop ins, they were not following curriculum! I know I should like a helicopter mom, but when your child keeps getting injured.... you start to take notice quickly! And this is how I found out about a teacher putting soap in a child mouth.....but the director/owner can spin a story to place blame on everyone but them. I moved my child to another school (United Methodist in Montgomery) after this and at 6 months now with the new school....no injuries! He has had the same teachers the entire time and he has learned so much.....verses Primrose where he was not because they were constantly training new teachers. I regret that I allowed my child to stay there as long as I did!

The campus is absolutely beautiful -- surrounded by pine trees, calm, and clean. It's a fully gated property with video cameras, so I always feel confident that my child is safe. Honestly, I wish I could stay there myself all day -- it's that peaceful! The teachers -- Ms. Nada, Ms. Dixie, and Mariah -- are truly amazing. They quickly became our friends. Every single day, they take the time to share how my son is doing. He came from another country, but now he's learning English so fast -- he can count, name colors, and even sings songs at home that he picked up at school. One of my favorite moments is every morning: as soon as we arrive, my son lets go of my hand and runs straight to his friends -- completely forgetting about me. To me, that's the best sign of a truly great place for mu child.

Ms. TK (the director) and her entire team are so professional, organized, thoughtful, and kind. They have treated us like family from the very first encounter and continue to show us warmth and exceptional care every single day. The school is immaculately kept and has great security protocols for a parent's peace of mind. There are various extracurriculars (like gymnastics, dance, and soccer) offered, as well as special events & holiday socials. The faculty are so creative in keeping things fun & engaging - - not only for the children but their families too! Ms. HEYLEY is an incredible teacher & trustworthy caregiver. Our 2-year old has learned so much from the curriculum and has so much fun in class. I appreciate the frequent updates (and activity photos) that make me feel like I can be a part of each moment, even at a distance. Eventually, we will graduate to the next age group/classroom (and onward), but her "first" teacher and first year experience will forever hold a special piece of our hearts. Because our son's experience here was amazing from start to finish…read more --- --- --- After our son finished kindergarten, we wanted to enroll him at a daycare for the summer where he could be visited by a speech and occupational therapist to help him work through some issues before starting 1st grade. The only therapists we could find that would offer both services would only travel to centers within The Woodlands. Little Sunshine was the closest center to our house that was technically in The Woodlands, but the only problem is that it was also, by far, the most expensive. Plus, we would have to pay some out-of-pocket costs for the therapy services too. This option was setting up to be an incredibly expensive summer. So I shopped around for alternative therapy provider that would travel to other centers, but I struck out with everyone. So we took a deep breath and prepared to spend the extra money. To be honest, this ended up being an excellent decision. Little Sunshine was easily the best daycare we have ever sent our son too. And due to some odd circumstances, he has been to a *lot* of different places. The facility is super nice the lobby, the classrooms, the playgrounds - all top notch. A very nice thing is that unlike most daycares, it didn't *smell* like a daycare. You probably know exactly what I mean when I say that: a combination of sweaty kids and strong cleaning products. It didn't even really look like a daycare in the lobby. Everything was always supremely clean and organized. The teachers were also amazing. They truly seemed to love our son and really helped him work through his issues when his emotions would get the best of him. They always kept us updated with photos, videos and the schedule for what the kids were doing and learning about. We also really loved that they not only provided breakfast, lunch and snacks, but they did so in a healthy manner. They would provide a schedule every week with the menu and our son loved reading it every day. They definitely made some of the items sound borderline gourmet! And nothing was ever just purely junk food, as is the case at most places. After the summer ended, we enrolled him in a new daycare for after school. As of this writing, he's only gone there 3 times, and it's been fine so far, but the stark drop-off in the quality of everything was immediately obvious. It's no Little Sunshine! If you're in the same boat we were in: thinking of bringing your kid(s) to Little Sunshine but hesitant because of the cost, I will tell you that it's worth every penny. We will always look fondly on our time here, even if it was only for a short time.

My now third grader got a huge head start to 1st grade public school because of Ms Abby. She really knows how to nurture and educate children. Even my child says he was glad he went and learned from her because the concepts she taught were not taught at his public school. The family values and sense of community that is fostered by Glenwood is unprecedented. My younger child went through pre-K and immediately the teacher knew he would need some extra help in school. She was right. We ended up having outside testing done that guided us on the best way to address his needs in school. It all started with Glenwood. Too bad we moved and that it's not a full pre-K-5th grade campus. I would have loved to have stayed.
