In the infant room babies are left to cry it out (even two months olds) and in the toddler room kids are forced to become independent before they are ready. Montessori is all about following the child but there they want a 18 months old to be able to dress themselves and leave them to cry out of frustration for up to an hour. I have picked my daughter up in soiled diapers several times and In numerous occasions the diapers leaked through her pants. If you have special dietary restrictions be sure that they will be ignored even if you specifically write them out. My vegan daughter got dairy and eggs for 2 months until I finally found out about it. They will put children in danger. They put my daughter into an adult sized chair during a meltdown and let her fall off TWICE and did not even repay the unused tuition for that month when I finally took her out of the school. Tried to meet with them for a month but it never ended up coming to a meeting since the owner insisted that 2 other employees should be part of the meeting which shows that she doesn't even truly care about the situation. Stay away from this place if you care about your child's wellbeing.

Before that (before she turned 2 and transitioned to them), there was a period of chaos where teachers came and went every 1-2 months. It was unnerving enough for us, at one point, to consider looking elsewhere. But then most of the administrative staff changed. Things seemed to have improved since then, but there are still some lingering issues. I am writing in hopes of admin making some positive changes. 1. There does not seem to be much communication between teachers and admin. Often I will ask admin something and then the teachers and get two different answers. I don't really blame the teachers as they are busily attending to the kids, as they should. 2. Often emails to admin will go unanswered. In an age of emails getting caught in spam, a simple acknowledgement or reply would be much appreciated. I would even dare say that unless you speak with someone on the Admin staff directly, you won't get anywhere with email. More than once, I've submitted forms to CDLC which were never received. 3. And even then, about 90% of my verbal requests to Admin are forgotten. They are usually simple requests like asking for current student list to make goodie bags or something, or to find info like when Karate class takes place during school hours. All this translates to more work for the Parents who already have little time during the work day, to ask questions, follow up on questions, and sometimes to seek out answers themselves. On the bright side, the facilities are great. Learning Mandarin and Spanish is amazing. People are friendly. It's kept cleaner than any other place I've seen (but the kids get sick the same regardless ;) ). The Waterpark (which is closed during winter) is super fun. The food served is healthier than a majority of the schools out there in Texas, however not enough veggies in my opinion. If they are going to do processed foods like Fig Newtons for a snack, I would suggest trying something a little bit better like Veggie Fries/Sticks which don't have added sugar. We are currently very happy with our child's teachers and for that reason, CDLC is worth it.

I think you should rethink that. I know people that didn't join us there because of it. And it was a selling point when we joined. I feel like if you take away a service the price should go down. Not up. We never saw a concession for that.

Adult Sunday school is at 9:45am; Worship service is at 11am. They have Wednesday night bible study at 7pm. The pastor is personal - goes around before the worship service to welcome each one who is there whether you are a regular or a visitor. The second time my brother I attended, he called us by our names - A shepherd who is intentional in knowing his sheep or any visiting sheep. I am new to the area as I have recently relocated from out of state & have been looking for a home church near my home. Prayerfully considering to become a member where I can serve & be used for God's work.

Even my child says he was glad he went and learned from her because the concepts she taught were not taught at his public school. The family values and sense of community that is fostered by Glenwood is unprecedented. My younger child went through pre-K and immediately the teacher knew he would need some extra help in school. She was right. We ended up having outside testing done that guided us on the best way to address his needs in school. It all started with Glenwood. Too bad we moved and that it's not a full pre-K-5th grade campus. I would have loved to have stayed.

We were lost and heartbroken. The search for a new Pastor began. There was only one that was wonderful, but we wasn't going leave the beautiful Hill County to move. The one they selected was not a good match for many, including us and we haven't been to worship service for two years. We still attend Sunday School only. Wonderful Sunday School teacher, but not Worship Service. Many of the church has left. I followed him.for two years on the Church at usual to learn he was going to start a new Church in Conroe. We are looking for a permanent place, but have a growing Church now consisting of many of our former members. 5 stars for Sunday School Teacher, 2 to 3 stars for the people who we still see.
