Before that (before she turned 2 and transitioned to them), there was a period of chaos where teachers came and went every 1-2 months. It was unnerving enough for us, at one point, to consider looking elsewhere. But then most of the administrative staff changed. Things seemed to have improved since then, but there are still some lingering issues. I am writing in hopes of admin making some positive changes. 1. There does not seem to be much communication between teachers and admin. Often I will ask admin something and then the teachers and get two different answers. I don't really blame the teachers as they are busily attending to the kids, as they should. 2. Often emails to admin will go unanswered. In an age of emails getting caught in spam, a simple acknowledgement or reply would be much appreciated. I would even dare say that unless you speak with someone on the Admin staff directly, you won't get anywhere with email. More than once, I've submitted forms to CDLC which were never received. 3. And even then, about 90% of my verbal requests to Admin are forgotten. They are usually simple requests like asking for current student list to make goodie bags or something, or to find info like when Karate class takes place during school hours. All this translates to more work for the Parents who already have little time during the work day, to ask questions, follow up on questions, and sometimes to seek out answers themselves. On the bright side, the facilities are great. Learning Mandarin and Spanish is amazing. People are friendly. It's kept cleaner than any other place I've seen (but the kids get sick the same regardless ;) ). The Waterpark (which is closed during winter) is super fun. The food served is healthier than a majority of the schools out there in Texas, however not enough veggies in my opinion. If they are going to do processed foods like Fig Newtons for a snack, I would suggest trying something a little bit better like Veggie Fries/Sticks which don't have added sugar. We are currently very happy with our child's teachers and for that reason, CDLC is worth it.

Note to corporate : I'm still unhappy that when we signed up an officer was there for check in and check out. Since COVID, I guess that wasn't "in the budget" or "important enough". I think you should rethink that. I know people that didn't join us there because of it. And it was a selling point when we joined. I feel like if you take away a service the price should go down. Not up. We never saw a concession for that.

A lot of the places that I went to really wouldn't give me the time of day or I didn't get warm fuzzys from. My mom was actually the one that found them and did a drop by one afternoon. She said that she loved it and encouraged me to check them out. I stopped by one day after work and loved everything about them. Ms. Delores answered all my questions and gave me a tour of my daughters classroom. I signed the paperwork the same day. The day that my daughter started, I was nervous since she spent most of her days with my parents and not around kids her own age. When I took her to her classroom, she was stuck to me like glue. Ms. Ashley talked to us for a little bit and spent her time talking to our daughter to make her feel comfortable. When she offered to hold our daughter, she went right to her and really made me feel at ease about our decision to use this daycare facility. Since then, my daughter loves to go everyday to see her favorite teacher Ms. Ashley. She has learned so much! The daycare is great about putting on events for the families and really making them feel included. I was a little hesitant at first about the daycare not having the ability to watch your children during the day but they encourage you to call as often as you wish. I have called and talked to Ms. Martha many times during the first few weeks and she has been nothing but nice and helpful. Every morning, we are greeted the moment we walk in the door by all the teachers and staff and they talk to us and joke around and show that they really do care about all the kids that attend. But Blossoms teachers and staff welcomed him with open arms, and were patient with him as he adapted to his new school. Now not only is he excelling in Montessori studies, he's also made great friends, loves his teacher, and is excited about going to school everyday. I came into BSM needing next-day child care as we were new to the area, and I was unaware that there are a lot more Montessori schools to choose from. I was sent a welcome packet with a set of prices and a "100% Happy Family Money Back Guarantee". When I got there the very next day, the prices had went up. The building seemed sanitary and I liked that the classrooms were nut-free but the outside play area was ONE old plastic, unkept sunburned play set next to a sewage drain and a small concrete sidewalk. There were a few picnics tables on the other side of the field - that's it. I was unimpressed but we are a Montessori household and I wanted child care to be the same. I withdrew my child after ONE DAY, and put her in a different Montessori school in the area that had 4 different play areas for each age group, ample space for riding around and playing with different set ups. I reached out for some sort of reimbursement with an offer to compensate for the 1 day via email and voicemail, never got a response. Long story short, this business is determined to keep $700+ of my money for 1 day -- Jayden has been very condescending and the director is harder to reach than the president. It's flat out wrong to not prorate or refund a customer for changing their mind after 1 DAY!! And it's bad business to not communicate and keep such a substantial amount of money for doing incomplete work. Contract or not, no parent should be forced to complete 30 days of childcare if they are unhappy after 1 day - 100% Happy Family Money Back Guarantee is completely false advertising. *****ADDED NOTE: Parents beware, this school will go to the furthest length to deceive and exploit your money. How could you deceive AND PAY a daycare $700+ to watch your child? A STORM DRAIN in a play area for 1 year olds is a HAZARD. The director was completely unwilling to cooperate before writing this review and offered a partial refund to remove it -- now their claim is defamation after ignoring and denying any communication about reimbursement. I worked at home and we are extremely cautious with covid. My daughter got covid the first week starting at this center and found out later on that the staff told other parents that my daughter "gave it to everyone" even though the teacher had just gone on vacation and tested positive but wasn't showing symptoms... whatever. So needless to say we started off on a bad foot but unfortunately there was no light at the end of the tunnel. My daughter had extreme blistering diaper rash in their care. I would get it cleared up over the weekend and it was clockwork by Tuesday she had it again. When you put your 1 year old in their car seat and they scream at the top of their lungs because their butt is literally raw it's infuriating. I would say something in the morning when dropping her off, I would call during the day, I would email and NOTHING changed until I threatened to pull her from their care. She is at a new center and has NEVER had diaper rash since being in the new facilities care. They have an app that i thought would be fantastic....how great to receive photos of your child all day and get updated on how they are doing. Wrong! I would get an update of what she ate that day and sometimes they would also send a picture of her eating. Well, the photo never matched what it said she was eating which was extremely concerning. I understand that when a toddler starts daycare they are going to get sick a lot. But in the 5 months of us being in their care my daughter was always sick. Parents weren't notified if kids in the class were sick. My daughter threw up in her crib one night and had a horrible stomach bug (which then our entire house got) but after she was better and I brought her back the lady at the front said "oh she got it too".... I was in shock. Our new facility lets us know if any kid in the entire school gets sick and what it is-parents are notified in the app and on the front door of the center. The learning experience only notified us when it was covid. If it wasn't covid, good luck and be prepared to use a lot of your work sick time. A couple of reasons I think my daughter may have been sick all of the time could have been because I would send her to school with her cup LABELED because I do what I'm supposed to and they send her out with another child's cup. I get it kids may drink out of another kids cup but it didn't only happen once, it happened all of the time. She came home in other kids clothes(I had 3 changes of clothes there) , with other kids sheets(they had 2 extra sheets) - which is also extremely frustrating when you do label everything and then you don't get your stuff back because it went home with another kid but they don't know who. The kicker and what made me pull her from their care was for the 2nd time I picked her up and she smelt like poop when I was putting her in her car seat. The minute I got home I changed her and she had a clean diaper but she had poop in her pants. Mind you she had 3 changes of clothes as backup.... So you are telling me my poor baby has been in poopy clothes for who knows how long. She has been sitting on toys, chairs, the floor....her poo particles were on everything. NO WONDER she was always sick. I called immediately when I saw and the teacher said she didn't notice. This was the second time it had happened and the next day I emailed them letting them know she wouldn't be returning. As a new mom you don't know what to expect and what is "acceptable". I didn't know if I was overreacting so I asked friends and none of them could believe the standard of the learning experiences care. The reason we chose this center was because of the tour Ms. Jessica gave us- she made us feel at home and you could really see the passion she had. Unfortunately Ms. Jessica isn't the one watching your children. If you say anything to Ms. Courtney good luck on that information being relayed to the people that need to know about it. Oh and good luck on getting your emails returned- that was always like pulling teeth. I highly recommend you keep looking for care elsewhere!

Ge comes home and applies the things he learns and teaches me new things. Even when his behavior became a challenge they never gave up understanding what he needed to succeed. shout out to ms. Fabby, ms. Gloria, ms. Liz, ms. bree and ms.Britany. they have all played an important role in my babies growth.

Why 4 stars? Because we really appreciated our experience here…read more --- --- --- We moved to the area from Florida and found out about FCKA online when we were searching for nearby child care. They were one of about ten places I called and they ended up making the most sense for us. We drove our U-Haul on a Saturday and Sunday, and our son started school here the following morning. And for just over a year, everyone was really happy with the arrangement. Our son loved it, it was close by for us and his teachers really seemed to enjoy him. I don't want to understate any of those aspects: we were all as happy as we could be. The reason we're no longer at FCKA is actually another reason that we are grateful for the staff here. Our son has had some developmental issues and ultimately, they felt he would be better served at a different school that specialized in providing the type of attention he needs. This was a pretty self-less thing to say because it ultimately costs the school money to lose a student, plus a student that was loved by so many teachers, despite his difficulties. The only issue we really had with this entire situation is that it was a bit abrupt. We know our son is a handful. And often times, I would vent to the staff at pick-up or drop-off about how crazy he was the day before. But the reaction was always the same: laughter and something along the lines of "oh, that's the same guy we see here haha." So our impression was that they did not have any serious problems with him. This was the feedback from every person my wife and I ever dealt with. But then one day, we were told that it was actually a very serious issue, which we were taken aback by. I think what really sparked this is that they never re-opened the doors to allow parents to drop off or pick up kids from the room. We always had to wait outside, which generally led to less face-time with the teacher. Occasionally you would get a moment at the front door, but there was almost always a line of cars waiting, so those moments were always rushed. I understand it was probably logistically easier this way, but it was probably the one thing I would have changed about FCKA. We truly really enjoyed everything else about sending our son here and will always think of them fondly when we drive by.
