So needless to say we started off on a bad foot but unfortunately there was no light at the end of the tunnel. My daughter had extreme blistering diaper rash in their care. I would get it cleared up over the weekend and it was clockwork by Tuesday she had it again. When you put your 1 year old in their car seat and they scream at the top of their lungs because their butt is literally raw it's infuriating. I would say something in the morning when dropping her off, I would call during the day, I would email and NOTHING changed until I threatened to pull her from their care. She is at a new center and has NEVER had diaper rash since being in the new facilities care. They have an app that i thought would be fantastic....how great to receive photos of your child all day and get updated on how they are doing. Wrong! I would get an update of what she ate that day and sometimes they would also send a picture of her eating. Well, the photo never matched what it said she was eating which was extremely concerning. I understand that when a toddler starts daycare they are going to get sick a lot. But in the 5 months of us being in their care my daughter was always sick. Parents weren't notified if kids in the class were sick. My daughter threw up in her crib one night and had a horrible stomach bug (which then our entire house got) but after she was better and I brought her back the lady at the front said "oh she got it too".... I was in shock. Our new facility lets us know if any kid in the entire school gets sick and what it is-parents are notified in the app and on the front door of the center. The learning experience only notified us when it was covid. If it wasn't covid, good luck and be prepared to use a lot of your work sick time. A couple of reasons I think my daughter may have been sick all of the time could have been because I would send her to school with her cup LABELED because I do what I'm supposed to and they send her out with another child's cup. I get it kids may drink out of another kids cup but it didn't only happen once, it happened all of the time. She came home in other kids clothes(I had 3 changes of clothes there) , with other kids sheets(they had 2 extra sheets) - which is also extremely frustrating when you do label everything and then you don't get your stuff back because it went home with another kid but they don't know who. The kicker and what made me pull her from their care was for the 2nd time I picked her up and she smelt like poop when I was putting her in her car seat. The minute I got home I changed her and she had a clean diaper but she had poop in her pants. Mind you she had 3 changes of clothes as backup.... So you are telling me my poor baby has been in poopy clothes for who knows how long. She has been sitting on toys, chairs, the floor....her poo particles were on everything. NO WONDER she was always sick. I called immediately when I saw and the teacher said she didn't notice. This was the second time it had happened and the next day I emailed them letting them know she wouldn't be returning. As a new mom you don't know what to expect and what is "acceptable". I didn't know if I was overreacting so I asked friends and none of them could believe the standard of the learning experiences care. The reason we chose this center was because of the tour Ms. Jessica gave us- she made us feel at home and you could really see the passion she had. Unfortunately Ms. Jessica isn't the one watching your children. If you say anything to Ms. Courtney good luck on that information being relayed to the people that need to know about it. Oh and good luck on getting your emails returned- that was always like pulling teeth. I highly recommend you keep looking for care elsewhere!

They were one of about ten places I called and they ended up making the most sense for us. We drove our U-Haul on a Saturday and Sunday, and our son started school here the following morning. And for just over a year, everyone was really happy with the arrangement. Our son loved it, it was close by for us and his teachers really seemed to enjoy him. I don't want to understate any of those aspects: we were all as happy as we could be. The reason we're no longer at FCKA is actually another reason that we are grateful for the staff here. Our son has had some developmental issues and ultimately, they felt he would be better served at a different school that specialized in providing the type of attention he needs. This was a pretty self-less thing to say because it ultimately costs the school money to lose a student, plus a student that was loved by so many teachers, despite his difficulties. The only issue we really had with this entire situation is that it was a bit abrupt. We know our son is a handful. And often times, I would vent to the staff at pick-up or drop-off about how crazy he was the day before. But the reaction was always the same: laughter and something along the lines of "oh, that's the same guy we see here haha." So our impression was that they did not have any serious problems with him. This was the feedback from every person my wife and I ever dealt with. But then one day, we were told that it was actually a very serious issue, which we were taken aback by. I think what really sparked this is that they never re-opened the doors to allow parents to drop off or pick up kids from the room. We always had to wait outside, which generally led to less face-time with the teacher. Occasionally you would get a moment at the front door, but there was almost always a line of cars waiting, so those moments were always rushed. I understand it was probably logistically easier this way, but it was probably the one thing I would have changed about FCKA. We truly really enjoyed everything else about sending our son here and will always think of them fondly when we drive by.

The staff here are extremely unprofessional and many of them clearly should not be working with children. The owner, Cynthia, even admitted to me over the phone that she doesn't want certain employees working there but "has no choice" because she can't find anyone better. Hearing the owner speak that way about her own staff says everything you need to know about how this place is run. One of the first issues we had was with a teacher named Amber. She allowed my son to call her "mom" multiple times and never corrected him until I personally walked in and heard it happening myself. On top of that, she would message me on Facebook outside of daycare hours saying how much she missed my son, which I found extremely inappropriate and unsettling. Eventually my son was moved to another classroom with Caitlyn, and things did not improve. She constantly seemed distracted and unable to properly supervise the children. It's shocking to me that someone who struggles this much with basic supervision is trusted to watch toddlers. The reason I am writing this review is because of the incident that made us immediately pull our child from this daycare. On Friday, March 6th, my two-year-old son broke his arm while at daycare. No one told me. Not a phone call, not a message, nothing. I only realized something was wrong later that night and into the next day when he continued favoring his arm. I had to reach out to the daycare myself the following day to ask if anything had happened. Once I asked, the stories started changing. First I was told he "fell on the concrete." Then the story changed to him falling off the slide. Then the teacher said she actually wasn't sure what happened. How does a two-year-old break his arm in two places at daycare and no one knows what happened? We took him to the emergency room and confirmed that his arm was indeed broken in two spots. The fact that no one noticed, no one reported it, and no one could give a clear answer about how it happened shows a shocking level of negligence. This daycare is also extremely dirty and poorly managed. It feels like the only thing they care about is collecting tuition checks, not the safety or well-being of the children in their care. After everything that happened, we immediately unenrolled our child. No parent should have to worry that their toddler could suffer a serious injury and the daycare staff either doesn't notice or doesn't bother to tell them.
