Stay far away; coming from a former employee. Not a bitter employee, just a mom looking out for other moms.

My children love it, have made friends, and are learning and stimulated all day. My oldest is so happy when I pick him up, instead of looking scared. They give daily report cards on how the boys did and lots of neat things they made in class. I've had such a great experience that my brother has since enrolled me niece who loves it just as much. The teachers are so incredible and patient, I honestly can't say enough about the peace of mind they give me every day knowing that my boys are in such good hands.

Since I couldn't find any reviews on this facility online, and reviews are very imporotant when it…read morecomes to child care, I decided to share our thoughts on this facility. Our child has been attending for several months, and overall we have found Children's Universe to be a quality daycare/preschool. The staff, especially Ms. Dawn at the front, have been very attentive to our child and are very good at keeping us informed of how the day has gone. Some of the direct care staff/teachers seem to be more caring and involved than others, but you will find that anywhere and none of the care she has received there has been "concerning". The facility is very clean and orderly. If I was a child, I could see myself looking forward to playing there! They provide breakfast, snacks, and lunch. They even provide baby food (not formula). That makes for a very easy drop off in the morning. They are open long hours and only closed for the major holidays and allow you two "vacation weeks" a year that you can use if you wish and not have to pay while your child is not there. The tuition is also very reasonable for a center of this quality. For the infant room it is 175/week and it goes down slightly as the child hits 12 months, 24 months, etc.... At least in the younger rooms (don't know very much about the older rooms) you get a "report card" each day that tells you what your child did that day, what they ate, diapering frequency, etc..... They also use an electronic finger printing system to sign your child in and out. The main downside we have had thus far is how frequently our child has been sick since starting daycare. They have had some problems with illnesses circulating through the school. However, this is quite likely to happen from time to time anywhere there are large numbers of small children, so I don't feel it is a unique issue to Children's Universe. Overall, we are very happy with the care our child receives there and have been impressed at the level of personal attention she gets.

I am a single mother of two very little ones (11 months and 2 years old) and these years are so extremely crucial for their development in social and motor skills. For this reason, I had a major anxiety about finding their childcare here in Conroe. Kids R Kids made it easy to productively operate throughout the day without worrying about my children (I won't go into the horror stories of our last daycare). The director is extremely pleasant with each interaction and is so sweet with my kiddos. The owner is right at the front door every morning or sometimes if we are really early she is helping to whip up the morning munchies for the little ones, which is not at all what I expected. Their teachers are absolutely wonderful and caring. They are good to my children and treat them with respect. Everyone knows my children by name and greets them with a smile each time we arrive. I am able to view the classroom anytime using an app on my phone.. yes.. you have direct access to check on your children to ease any concerns you may have. (How amazing is that?) Sometimes when juggling my two little ones out to the car, if anyone witnesses me struggle, without hesitation, they are right there to help with the door or a backpack. There are actual humans here, not babysitting robots. I really could go on and on about how stellar this place is but you should just go check it out for yourself. I highly recommend this establishment to anyone and everyone! THEY WILL EXCEED YOUR EXPECTATIONS!

This was the only daycare within the area that practice Parents Night Out(PNO) and they would do even by popular demand! When my financial situation changed, I got a nanny for a little while which abruptly ended. Due to not enough room at the time for my twins, I was forced to go to other daycares within the area. I NEVER enrolled my kids in the other daycares for unsatisfactory reasons. I emailed the owner at 3am with my concerns of what I was going through and at the earliest availability I truly needed help. Luckily, someone moved from the area and a spot became available!!! I learned that you get what you pay for and with this daycare you get a happy, healthy, satisfied child along with a peace of mind! This daycare is awesome and I recommend this daycare over any daycare!

Additionally, they did not call me once they knew. The elementary school where he was taken is who called me - thanks to my sons backpack having my phone number in it. When I called to ask what happened I was told someone was on their way to get him. 30 mins later he had not arrived at the elementary school. When I called again I was informed that the original person they said was on their way didn't show up to work and now the first bus driver was on her way. My son did not arrive at his correct elementary school for over an hour from when I received the first call. This is absolutely unacceptable.

But there were times that every two weeks there were different teachers in the room. One lasted 1 day because the state came and did a background check on the employees and for some reason this new girl was released that day! The last straw was when he was moved up with his friends to the next classroom. I was nervous about this change because he finally had 2 teachers that lasted a month! But I was promised (by the director) the teacher had been there for a long time and was great. So we were hopeful. So in the new class room we were not there long at all, when an accident happened and...it is now 6 months from when it happened and he still has a scar. The kids were playing outside and when they lined up to go in, they said he ran off, tripped and his face went into the iron fence and his teeth through his lip and into a board as he landed face down on the ground. If you know my child (who is not perfect but very shy) this is not his nature! I asked the lead teacher what happened and she flippantly says she doesn't know....HE was covered in blood and she does not know! I was in shock, grabbed my child and left! The next day I go to see the director who was not there when this happened and she tells me that the lead teacher didn't show up to work and quit...that screams something is wrong! She then calls in the other teacher (another new hire) what happened and the above story is what I got. She said she was busy with another student but saw it happen. I ask her what she is going to do to ensure my childs safety (as he has also been bitten in the new class just the day before....deep bite through a sweater and his skin was broken on his back) and again, I am given the speech to give them more time.....NO I was done! I was calm, over and over again as he was bitten (skin broken) because new teachers were not keeping kids engaged. I believe when we left, the number of times he was bitten was 8 and he didn't bite back. The teacher told me they had a kid who loved to bite, but there was not a bite policy in place other than they would talk to the parents. And the teacher in the classroom told me that child was a problem as he bit 3 kids on the last day we were there. The several times I did drop ins, they were not following curriculum! I know I should like a helicopter mom, but when your child keeps getting injured.... you start to take notice quickly! And this is how I found out about a teacher putting soap in a child mouth.....but the director/owner can spin a story to place blame on everyone but them. I moved my child to another school (United Methodist in Montgomery) after this and at 6 months now with the new school....no injuries! He has had the same teachers the entire time and he has learned so much.....verses Primrose where he was not because they were constantly training new teachers. I regret that I allowed my child to stay there as long as I did!
