I was lucky-they had an opening and I snatched it right up. I love an easy website for booking and AshiBar has it! I checked in and was taken back to my room right at the appointment time. After a brief consult with the massage therapist, my massage started about ten minutes later. It ended right on time at 4:50, so it ultimately was only 40 minutes, not 50. Oh well. The massage itself was fine-I left feeling relaxed and better than I had when I went in. Although there were a few little things that could be improved upon such as the full 50 minute massage like I mentioned. I also noticed that the room was mostly silent for the majority of the massage until nearly the end when music started to play. It would have been nice to have that music the whole time. I also felt like the price was a bit steep-$85 for 40 minutes. I've had massages elsewhere for the full 50 minutes for less money. It was a good experience, but I'm not sure it was the best I've ever had.

Then we went to the room and were instructed to keep our clothes on and lie face up with a pillow under our legs but not head. They rubbed our feet and hands and lightly our scalp. My wife described it as getting a massage from your child. Let me be clear...they are very kind and the atmosphere is nice but they clearly come from the "massage school" in the same parking lot.

The therapist was friendly. Disappointingly, the craniosacral therapy I received (for tight…read moremuscles) didn't help at all. I'd never had this particular therapy before and when I agreed to it I mistakenly assumed it meant *massage* focused on the area at the base of the skull. Instead, what I received was extremely light touch at varying areas of my body. By light touch, I mean I sometimes literally couldn't feel any touch at all. Puzzling, to say the least. There are quite a few glowing reviews for this office and that sort of therapy so perhaps I'm an outlier and others really are benefitting. That said, I won't try craniosacral again and in future I'll be sure to do more thorough research online before trying unfamiliar therapy.
