They did much better over zoom them in class, and I see all patents yell me the dame thing, especially with this school which used to be great at one point take your child and run. The staff doesn't know even or even care to respond and talk to anyone and their principal too. Its a shame thsti have to leave this review and other patents who vent yet aren't speaking up

I just wanna say my experience since kindergarten at this school has been horrible. This could be pages along of how horrible the school is, especially the principal don't even get me started if your kid needs an IEP Ms Michelle and Ms Ochoa hands-down are the nicest staff and the most helpful without them. I don't know what I would have done for my son. The pettiness that goes on with the PTA and the staff is insane. If you even have a disagreement with that principal, you will be blocked from any type of school event going on campus and any type of field trips. I could go on and on like I said pages of complaints. I question myself why I stayed so long

The teachers (Mrs Irene, Ms Megan, Mrs Jennifer...), are exceptional--caring, patient, dedicated, and deeply committed to each child's growth and development. Our children have thrived here thanks to the incredible staff and the strong sense of community the school provides. We are incredibly grateful for the positive impact this preschool has had on our family and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a caring and high-quality early education experience.

My daughter's current teacher Ms. Romero is the best! She get very involved with the kids on holidays, you can clearly see her passion for her work, which is rare. And if a problem is ascertained, they leap right in, meet with the parents and come up with a plan to remedy the situation. Everyone is accommodating and friendly, from the office girls, to the principal. I'm very pleased with our experience with GHE. Thanks

This school is awful!! Would NOT recommend. If I can give ZERO stars, I would. Granada Elementary…read moreis an environment that welcomes and protects bullying. I have been complaining for the last few years about my daughter being tormented and bullied yet nothing absolutely nothing was done. Earlier this year my daughter was physically assaulted by another student which I brought to Mrs Lie's attention and again NOTHING WAS DONE. This school year I came to find out the office had new administrators which I thought "oh yes, hopefully new and positive outcomes" but NO, once again my daughter was assaulted by another student. I went in the office to speak to the new principal mrs Duran about the ongoing bullying issues just to find that there had been NO record of any of the incidents my daughter had endured at Granada Elementary in the past. I requested administrators to involve the school police to take report as the school hadn't been doing so, but mrs Duran assured me she would take care of the problem and get back to me, NEVER DID! A week later as i was picking up my kids I can tell my daughter had been crying as her eyes were swollen, puffy & red. When I asked her what was wrong she literally broke down in my arms crying telling me a student had been bullying her since lunch time. Every administrative staff that day failed my daughter to check in on her or even ask what was going on. Nobody called me. After many years of bullying and nothing being done by the school I decided to change schools for my kids. Unfortunately there was no room for my kindergartener at the new school so just decided to move my daughter( after all she was the one suffering at Granada) well come to my surprise the same week my daughter was transferred out of Granada , the school decides to make these outrages disgusting untrue claims to hurt me and my family talking about "they have concerns for my son", yet didn't have any concerns for my daughter enduring bullying at Granada Elementary year after year! They are truly disgusting and need to be reported to the department of Education which I will do!

This parcel is far more than vacant land--it is part of the historic birthplace of Granada Hills. The remaining historic structures have been allowed to deteriorate over the years, and it is heartbreaking to watch such an important piece of our community's history continue to decline. This is also not the first time this property has been at the center of controversial development proposals. For decades, the community has raised concerns about projects that would intensify use of this site despite its location in a Very High Fire Hazard Severity Zone and the surrounding evacuation challenges. Many residents believe these concerns deserve far more consideration than they have received. As a neighbor, I have found Heritage Christian School to be largely unresponsive to the community's longstanding concerns about the property's condition and future. Instead of working with residents to preserve this historic site and find a solution that benefits Granada Hills, the property continues to be marketed for increasingly intensive development. This land represents an important chapter in our community's history. It deserves thoughtful stewardship, preservation where possible, and a future that respects both public safety and the heritage of Granada Hills--not another proposal that divides the community. I hope Heritage Christian School reconsiders its approach and becomes a better partner to the neighborhood it has been part of for so many years.

If you do happen to go, and your child is assigned to Ms. Thomas' class, run! She was my daughter's kindergarten teacher and she was absolutely horrible. Simply put, she should not educate children. Unfortunately, our experience was extremely disappointing. There were multiple failures to properly implement my child's IEP accommodations and services. Support that was documented and agreed upon was either inconsistently provided or not provided at all. Communication regarding progress, concerns, and adjustments was minimal and often reactive rather than proactive. I repeatedly had to initiate conversations about services that should have already been in place. When concerns were raised, there was little urgency to correct the issues. As a parent, I felt I was doing the monitoring and advocating alone instead of partnering with the school as intended under the IEP process. Timelines and procedural safeguards did not feel respected, and I did not feel that my child's needs were treated with the seriousness they deserved. An IEP is a legal document designed to protect students with disabilities. It is not optional, and it is not flexible based on convenience. When services are not implemented with fidelity, the child is the one who pays the price. I hope this review encourages stronger accountability, better communication with families, and a more consistent commitment to honoring IEP obligations moving forward.

As our first child approached her school years I lost my confidence. Feared my child would never learn to read much less add 2 and 2 together. The teachers are loving and patient and they reinforce all the spiritual teachings that my children already get at home. In addition they also strive for academic excellence and I can rest assured that my children are getting a fantastic academic education as well! You cannot beat their student to teacher ratios! We love how the student body is broken into teams that integrate the entire student body so there is a built in support system for the younger kids to learn from their older schoolmates instead of being isolated only in their own grade/age group during recess and lunch.
