To demonstrate what I'm trying to say, my daughter complains to me that this one particular staff member who works during recess and lunch yells a lot at children and can say unnecessary things. Along with taking away specific privileges, which for an elementary school doesn't make sense if you barley did anything wrong. Mrs KK I think that's the name. We've been here for more than 7 years and have seen both the highs and lows of being a private school community like this. Even when challenges arise, the best thing I can say is that they actually care and try to respond in such a way that they remain committed to Christ (first and foremost) and also do the best they can to care for their students. Even if we don't always (personally) love or agree with every decision that has been made, I know it's always been done with much thought, care, and prayer in order to stay committed to the school's mission and vision--not bending to just one person's (or family's) thoughts or feelings about things. This, I'm sure, has been hard at times, but I'm grateful the school has stayed faithful in this regard over the years and even through many challenging situations! We are grateful for the unique place Trinity holds in the Santa Clarita Valley for our family!

Students and their families are treated with respect and kindness and, above all, with trust. Such a refreshing, reaffirming environment that allows young people to develop and thrive - not crush their natural curiosity and imagination with relentless messages on conformity. And, amazingly, this public charter school with an incredible curriculum is free! Transferring from a nightmare experience in 7th grade at Rio Norte - where everything is structured to the teacher's benefit, the volume of 'busy work' worksheets assigned daily is mind-numbing, and the default attitude is one of distrust - to the amazing project-based learning and integrated curriculum of SCVi was truly the answer to my prayers for my thoughtful, intelligent son. He had left elementary school as a confident, straight A student who benefited from the school's GATE program for 3 years, but after 1 year at Rio Norte Jr High, being brow-beaten and told by his teachers he was just lazy and not as smart as he thought, his spirit was crushed and he had become hopeless about school. SCVi turned all that around. The transition was a little rocky for him, as he was leaving his friends behind, but the staff and fellow students at SCVi worked hard at making him feel welcome and his contributions were once again valued. By the end of 8th grade, his confidence had returned, as well as his grades, and he'd even stepped into a leadership role in the epic Civil War Re-Enactment capstone project that is a tradition at SCVi. Without SCVi, the path for my gifted 13 year old son could have turned out very badly indeed. He's continued to develop and thrive there through high school, benefited from IB classes and theater, and will graduate next month as a poised, confident young man with broad knowledge and critical life skills. You can see that the staff truly cares about your child. My LO absolutely loves this school and the staff. Her teachers are a great encouragement they integrate compassion into their teaching standards, emphasizes the importance of values, and builds leaders through each of their classes and lessons. The academic program is great. The principal Ms. Ramirez is exceptional, not only is she a strong leader , her communication skills are bar none, she is open minded and thinks outside the box to make a successful educational experience for the students. You can truly see that the teachers are passionate about seeing their students succeed. They are so great about sharing moments of pride they see within your child, their good behaviors and achievements; and they know the importance of getting the parents involved should an issue arise, and do it in a very respectful, approachable manner. My problem is that the staff would sometimes tell you that you can't do so and so because it's not "kid-friendly", yet most kids do it anyway and they don't get called out for it. Not to mention that sometimes they tell you to stop doing something, even though there's nothing wrong with it. For example, if I swing around a pole, a yard duty would come up to me and tell me to stop, and I would never understand why. Other than that, my experience was okay.

They tried to rub it under the rug and hide it . Accusing my son of lying . I then filled a police report and police went to the school to talk to the coach and my son. They told me they didn't have enough evidence so they dropped the charges. It's ridiculous how they didn't believe my son . And the principal was even worse when my daughter started speaking out about the incident she approached my daughter at recess and told her to stop making rumors because all the other kids are getting scared . I moved my kids immediately as they did nothing about it and I was in fear my kids life and myself !I knew I'd possibly take matters into my hands and end up in jail so I removed my kids immediately. This school covers up but they are by far the worst.
