And he is humble-- he's not a "know it all" person which can be so offputting to those who are of other faiths or no faith.

The way that Google Maps directed us, we came around the perimeter of the sports facilities, not knowing where the parking for the stadium would be, but following the light standards until we found it. The parking lot in that area is large, with solar carport-type covers. Given how hot and sunny it gets there, this is a great idea. It was 100 degrees at 4:00 for game time. In an interesting arrangement, West Ranch High School's Wildcats use the stadium as their "home" venue, as their own field doesn't have light stanchions. Wish we'd realized that before driving to West Ranch first. By the time we got over to Valencia High, I was feeling frazzled about missing the start of the game. The parent boosters selling / taking tickets were very friendly and gracious. As we made our way to the visitors side we passed the snack bar. Though the game was underway, they weren't ready to sell anything. Even a frozen lemonade wasn't happening. Later, at halftime, dear hubby went over and scored $5 cheeseburgers for us that weren't half bad. The venue has a gorgeous setting, up on a rise so that the view beyond is of the mountains separating the Santa Clarita Valley from the San Fernando Valley. There was a suggestion of a vista of Mt. Diablo in Contra Costa County up north that had me nostalgic for my original hometown. I'd say the visitors side has the best view, actually.

We want to give a big thank you to all the wonderful teachers and for being part of their learning at Montessori of Valencia. A special Thank You to Ms.Sharon, she is an amazing teacher! Her wonderful teaching experience and dedication was a blessing specially for my daughter who was in her class for 2 years and a half doing preschool and Kindergarten. She helped my daughter learn how to read, write, add and subtract at a very early age. My daughter really enjoyed learning about the continents, solar system, human body, plants, animals and more! As well as the yearly Science Fair helped her be confident speaking in front of her classmates and parents and prepared her for her Kindergarten Graduation speech. Ms. Sharon exceeded our expectations and we totally recommended her. Regarding the school, we loved Montessori of Valencia had lots of friendly animals, from rabbits, chickens to a huge pig! Big open fields where my kids played lots of soccer and other sports. Also, we really enjoyed all the different events like the Christmas and Summer musicals, Easter Egg Hunt, Halloween and more! Montessori of Valencia is definitely a great school and holds a special place in our hearts! Thank You for all these memorable years.

SCVi saved my son's school career. This is a truly remarkable place, where the instructors WANT to…read morebe there and the kids come first - not faculty. Students and their families are treated with respect and kindness and, above all, with trust. Such a refreshing, reaffirming environment that allows young people to develop and thrive - not crush their natural curiosity and imagination with relentless messages on conformity. And, amazingly, this public charter school with an incredible curriculum is free! Transferring from a nightmare experience in 7th grade at Rio Norte - where everything is structured to the teacher's benefit, the volume of 'busy work' worksheets assigned daily is mind-numbing, and the default attitude is one of distrust - to the amazing project-based learning and integrated curriculum of SCVi was truly the answer to my prayers for my thoughtful, intelligent son. He had left elementary school as a confident, straight A student who benefited from the school's GATE program for 3 years, but after 1 year at Rio Norte Jr High, being brow-beaten and told by his teachers he was just lazy and not as smart as he thought, his spirit was crushed and he had become hopeless about school. SCVi turned all that around. The transition was a little rocky for him, as he was leaving his friends behind, but the staff and fellow students at SCVi worked hard at making him feel welcome and his contributions were once again valued. By the end of 8th grade, his confidence had returned, as well as his grades, and he'd even stepped into a leadership role in the epic Civil War Re-Enactment capstone project that is a tradition at SCVi. Without SCVi, the path for my gifted 13 year old son could have turned out very badly indeed. He's continued to develop and thrive there through high school, benefited from IB classes and theater, and will graduate next month as a poised, confident young man with broad knowledge and critical life skills. What parent could ask for more for their child? From the bottom of my heart, thank you SCVi!

Horrible school if you want to learn and socialize. Most people already have friend groups, and…read moredon't socialize with new students. Also, the school has a major bullying problem that they have covered up for a while now and only did the bare minimum if pushed to do. If you are not in the main popular friend group, you most likely cant talk to anyone. You'll also most likely be bullied if you don't like whatever the popular kids like, and people always beat each other up, and they do the most minimal punishments. I heard someone who caused a ton of people to bully someone else only got 1 day of ISS for doing that. So yea, i totally recommend not going here
