During the…read morefirst day, my wife made sure to let them know that my daughter doesn't yet know how to go on the swing on her own and that's something we are working on. On the second week of this program, during the last 10 mins where they separate the parents and let the kids play on the playground, one of the teacher's aide put her on the swing by herself, pulled her back, and pushed her forward. My daughter flipped backwards off the swing, spun in the air, and landed facedown on the ground. My wife ran out and quickly checked on my daughter and took her home. We called the pediatrician's office to see if we needed to bring her in to check for signs of concussion. After this happened, the school never once called to see how she was doing. The next day, we got a hold of the director and spoke to her about this incident. She tried to downplay it equating it to a minor fall/scrapes. No, this was not just a minor fall but a dangerous accident that happened in the hands of the teacher's aide. She then let us know that the way they work the swing is they first ask the child if they know how to go on and if the child say 'yes' and their hands are on the chains, they can go ahead and push the child. So they ignore what the parent told them during orientation, do not take any precautions when pushing a small child on the swing as long as the child said 'yes' to the swing? This is highly reckless and dangerous! We canceled our enrollment and never coming back here. Parents beware!

After months of going, my parents noticed her behavior too. She became more outgoing, had a lot to talk about regarding her days at school. Basically, my parents loved this school and the way both my siblings were treated. Never had any problems and my siblings adored their teachers. Fast forward some years. I was a stay at home mom with my first son until he started kindergarten. I was then in need of childcare for my younger sons and the only school that came to mind was Sierra. David, who in now going into 1st grade was extremely prepared for kindergarten when he left preschool. There were times in the beginning of kindergarten he said he just wanted to go back to Sierra. That doesn't sound like a kid who was mistreated, does it? My baby who is 4 is still at Sierra and I'll admit, he's just as rowdy as my brother was. Of course there are times a child will get disciplined and they'll see it as the worst thing of their lives at the time. But people need to stop being so sensitive. No teachers over there would EVER be cruel to a child. I read some of these reviews and I'm shocked. One family who got over sensitive because their child got hurt and played the blame game. That's unfortunate. I love this school. My husband was happy with my choice from day one and my children loved it.

From the minute we stepped into the building, we knew Creative Years was the obvious choice. The facility was clean and organized; the staff was overwhelmingly friendly and professional. Undoubtedly, day care is not a cheap venture, but you pay for the quality you want. I found Creative Years' prices to be fair and commensurate with the quality of their service. You can pay less at a different location, but you'll sacrifice the quality of your child care. My son attended from age 2 through his enrollment in Transitional Kindergarten in the school district. We watched him grow in leaps and bounds with Creative Years' help. From potty training and social development to emotional regulation, creativity, and life skills, they've been nothing short of amazing. We still bring him back for Summer Camp every year and intend to continue until he's aged out. My only wish would be that Creative Years had an after-school program. My family has been very dissatisfied with my son's after-school program at the school district, so if an after-school program existed at CY, we would happily enroll him asap. We love this place and don't know what we would do without them the last few years.
