I called on a Friday afternoon and they had Me booked that Monday morning for a consultation. My visit was for a "second opinion" Dr. Silva "saved" My tooth and enabled Me to be able to get a crown, instead of having it pulled which was the recommendation of My old dentist. They treat you like a friend or family here from the moment You walk in! Staff was extremely attentive and highly skilled. I was amazed at the professionalism and expertise of the hygienist working on my crown. She was also incredibly kind. You get what You pay for. Make sure You check with insurance before booking a procedure. This office uses state of the art technology. If you just need "routine" dental care may not be your place. But for fillings and crowns, they are top of the line. I am so thanful I called their office! I was…read morenervous about my almost 3-year old having her first real cleaning and not going to a pediatric dentist. However, the dental hygienist who cleaned her teeth was AMAZING. She took the time to explain each tool to my daughter and let her test it out. Then, the dentist who checked on her teeth was so kind and sweet with her. The ladies at the front desk are also the best- so kind and helpful!! Ultimately we had a great first experience for our daughter and I'd recommend them to anyone!!

After posting my review, I received several calls from Eureka Dental Group. First was from the…read morePatient Account Specialist and she did help explain the new charges but was still unwilling to give me an appointment until I gave them a "reservation fee" of $120. She said my crown was there but I could not get it until I paid her for a reservation. While I did have the money, I was unwilling to pay to make an appointment. I think their policy of paying to make an appointment is ridiculous and unheard of. There are simply way too many dentists in Eureka to have to abide by such a draconian policy. The second call I received was from the Office Manager, and she did seem to care about my frustrations and did agree to a payment plan to address the additional (hidden/uninformed) charges. She also lowered the reservation fee from $120 to $100. She explained the reservation fee would be applied towards my procedure; that they employ this concept on longer procedures to help ensure patients show up for their appointments. Although I emphatically disagree with the reservation fee concept, I did pay it (crown hostage fee) so I could make an appointment. Personally, I think Eureka Dental Group should adopt a no-show policy in line with other doctors that charge a no-show fee rather than charging a reservation fee. A couple of days later I received a call from Dr. Wehrmeister. He indicated it was his day off and he was calling because his Office Manager had informed him of my concerns and he wanted to try an address them. Dr. Wehrmeister seemed to genuinely care about my issues with Eureka Dental Group and I was impressed he took the time to call me on his day off to talk thru my recent experiences. After about a 20-minute conversation I felt comfortable Eureka Dental Group valued me as a patient and cared for my satisfaction, despite their unwillingness to concede the reservation fee policy. I went on about my day and received a second call from Dr. Wehrmeister about 15-minutes following our previous conversation. To my surprise, Dr. Wehrmeister said he talked with his Office Manager and they felt the fair thing to do was to pick-up my out of pocket increase that was not communicated to me until after the fact. This was one of my biggest concerns/complaints and I feel they have adequately addressed this concern. Likewise, I am changing my review from 1-star to 4-stars and will give EDG another opportunity to retain my business. Thank you, Dr. Wehrmeister and Eureka Dental Group Team!!

Not exaggerating. For months I went to them saying I had tooth pain all over. In 2017, one day my front big tooth was in excruciating pain - the worst pain I've ever felt. My whole face hurt so bad I didn't sleep for days until the next business day (3 days later) when I finally went to the dentist and they said my tooth had died and the root was decaying and that was the reason for the pain - all the gas was trapped in my root pocket and radiating. They did a root canal, which I've heard is supposed to be one of the worst pains in life. But let me tell you, that was the most relieving because I was numb. When they opened the tooth and removed the root, you could SMELL the decay. Immediately after, I had a little pain but was mostly numb. I asked the dentist since there was so much decay, do I need antibiotics. I asked multiple times and he insisted I didn't. That was the biggest mistake. That evening and overnight, the pain resumed, my face started to swell And I started getting a fever. I went to a different dentist the following morning and that dentist said "why on earth wouldn't he have given you an antibiotic?" He flushed the root pocket again and temporary plugged it and sent me home with an antibiotic. He said it looked like there was some infection in my facial tissue now so the antibiotics may not be strong enough, so if fever and swelling continues, go to the ER. The following day, my face swelled more and my fever and pain surged and my eye pretty much was swollen shut at this point so we went to the ER. They immediately took me back and gave me steroids, a CT scan and started vancomycin. I was admitted and held for 4 days at the hospital on high doses of vanc and it was the most miserable experience of my life. Multiple doctors said if I hadn't come in to the er when I did I could've lost my eye or died because I had such severe facial cellulitis from the root canal. After all of that, my family and I went to Kemlage and told him everything that had happened. We asked him to at least pay the hospital bills (over $1000) He refused. The only thing he did was not make us pay for the botched root canal. Photos attached.

I first went here five years ago and liked the dentist so would get my routine cleanings and work done despite the rude staff. A big thing I did with them was get a mouth guard for my teeth grinding and pain. When you do a service here you pay directly after, they do not send it to your home for billing. So inquired before the mold was done if it was covered and it was at 80%. I received the mold and paid my bill. I went back a couple more times for a cleaning before the office said they don't take my insurance and I ended up moving states anyway so no big deal. I moved twice since seeing them and had mail forwarding for years and did not change my phone number or email. 4 years later I get an email from a collection agency claiming I owe almost $500 for an outstanding bill. I'm confused because it's been 4 years and have not received any notice. When I call the office manger Christine she starts out very rude and dismissive and says that I was notified and that the insurance would have sent me an explanation of benefits saying my original claim for the guard was denied and I need to pay. I state that I have not been contacted and asked why it was denied she claims she does not know and I could call the insurance company. I call my insurance and they state they sent the dentist a claim why it was denied because they didn't state my condition and all they needed was to resubmit (sent from initial claim years ago), and they never heard back. They also stated the amount I should have paid and I have a receipt showing I paid that amount the day of service. I told the office about this and that they should resubmit. I also asked them to send me the proof that they contacted me in four years since interest was added to the bill and the original bill. They ignored my request for the contact and sent the initial bill. The office re-submitted and called saying that my insurance paid the rest and that they would call collections. I asked if they could also follow up with an email stating that I have a zero balance and that this situation is taken care of with collections so nothing further comes of it in the future and the office manager refused and said insurance would send me and explanation of benefits. After explaining that I don't want this situation to happen again she said she can't email but she can mail and hung up without getting any of my information after her knowing I no longer live there. Save yourself the drama and stress. Go to a place that values the customers, treats you with respect, and knows the job.

Both the Hygienist and Dr. Palmer were very thorough and they also educated me a bit which was helpful. I am especially grateful for the care that I received, as they made sure that I was comfortable throughout the entire process. Going to the dentist isn't always something that I'm thrilled about, but this visit totally put my mind at ease because I was in good hands; not too much discomfort which made me happy. Of course having this much shifting of teeth has been uncomfortable at times, but Demko has always responded to any questions and done all they can to make my daughter as comfortable as possible. I am a teacher as well, and I can always tell a Demko kid. I think the philosophy of Dr. Jackie and her staff is wonderful. I think the work they do makes scientific and logical sense. I am so glad that we picked this orthodontist. I know I will trust her with my son when he needs braces and would recommend her to anyone else who asked. She heads up a great team. I know my daughter's life will be (already is) better because of what they have done for her through orthodontics.
