Dr. Hamblin worked up an estimate for the most expensive procedure and did not offer me any other options. Moreover, his manner toward me was extremely poor. I have just begun my journey with Caisie and already I feel so much better. Having a team that understands your body and hormones and how everything works together and that REALLY listens to you is a treatment all by itself!! We spend so much time with guessing games when it comes to our hormones and there is just no reason for that. There will still be trial and error because every woman is different, but with a baseline and the knowledge of this staff it is not just guessing. Caisie listens and I have no doubt she cares and her true hearts desire is to help us be the best version of us we can be!! The living area is large, well-maintained, comfortable, and offers things to do in your free-time. I had someone bring me a fly-rod, and I fished the lake at Sana Lake for blue-gills regularly. There's also a decent gym with a trainer on location. There are rooms with flat-screen televisions where you can watch movies, a large cafeteria where you can sit and socialize, an endless supply of snacks, quiet places where you can sit and read- I could go on, but suffice it to say, it's Sana Lake is as comfortable, if not more comfortable, than home, especially if you've been living rough during your addiction. Overall, the staff is fantastic. The medical staff figured-out which medications I needed most, and provided them to me every day. Every member of the staff genuinely acted in my best interest every minute I was there. The peer counselors and group counselors are all in recovery themselves, and speak to the people enrolled in the rehabilitation program from personal experience. The rehabilitation counselors are friendly, sincerely interested in creating a plan for long-term sobriety, and genuinely care about you. While you're there, you feel like a member of an extended family. I've only begun to explain why Sana Lake is so much better than the other options in the St Louis area. If you need help, Sana Lake will help you. Don't waste any more time in your life wondering if you should or shouldn't go to rehab.
